The only barrier of me not socializing with my friends like we normally do in the years back is because everyone is now engaged in one job or another just to make ends meet. There is no way online gambling would replace social drinking, they both give a different feeling entirely and the latter is much more self relieving than online gambling. I disagree. Gambling is more of a way to pass the time, for example, when I'm waiting in line somewhere. I wouldn't trade meeting up with friends for anything. We see each other less and less often because many of us have families or irregular work schedules. Gambling and drinking are even very different from each other. I gamble but I also like to go out during weekends and have fun with some friends and we are definitely going to drink and enjoy the moment. Asides that, i don't think online gambling could ever beat going out for a drink with your close friends as a stress reliever. Online gambling can never beat that. You'll be literally amongst people you consider friends reminiscing and laughing your ass off. While hanging out with your close friends helps relieves stress, the fact that you all would be a bit tipsy would literally help you forget for a while anyway, whatever stressful situation you had been under.
A good number of gamblers would likely choose to go out and get shit faced with friends to unwind than to go online to gamble.
