I would definitely trade gambling for a better life and I would do that without hesitating. gambling doesn't pay the bills or sort things out, if there's anything it is actually more damaging than how profitable it is. I don't think that there is anyone that would give up such opportunity just because they want to satisfy their desire to keep gambling. it is better to be financially stable than being a gambler

You have said it all. Even an addicted gambler also uses the desire of winning and using the money for a better life as a reason to continue gambling, so I don't see why someone will not take such an offer when it's a matter of a better life, which is what we work extra time for and take other forms of jobs for and invest in things just to arrive at.

I gamble for my own entertainment and if I manage to get a job that is very good in terms of income then I will probably stop gambling, even though I have a lot of money that can be used but maybe doing it occasionally is more than enough if I can't stop completely.

Your opinion makes sense. With stability and a fixed salary, the game loses some of its pressure and becomes just a leisure option. Many people play more out of financial insecurity than for fun.

I’m actually taking risk when gambling and most of the time I loose my money, so when I eventually get the money and luxury to enjoy life, there’s definitely no point for me to gamble again.

Look, it's not like everyone gambles for money because there are many who gamble for fun because gambling is a matter of excitement whether they will lose or win. If someone can't do without playing for a day or two, then they have a gambling addiction. It's a different thing when you can't do without playing so frequently and it's also different when you gamble frequently because you have lots of money and time. Btw I believe that everything should be done in moderation. Excessive work, as well as excessive fun, is not good.

If I were personally given a choice to either get my dream job, money or the luxury and the price for that would be to give up on gambling forever, then I would choose to give up on gambling forever because I lack those. If I had lots of money, I wouldn't say no to gambling for extra money/luxury.

Good question OP. I am also among those who claim that gamble for fun, but if you eliminate the chance of winning a big prize someday from the equation, I think that all that fun would be over for me.

Chances are that I would gamble for a very different reason: the thrill of taking risks I could afford to take, and emerging victorious without defeat. But I'm just rambling, and maybe I would do other things and gambling would lose its appeal to me.

I don't gamble with the intention of getting rich; for that, I have my business, which has gradually brought me some returns. Since gambling isn't my priority and is only a form of entertainment, I wouldn't have any problem accepting such an offer. I don't miss it at all when I go a few days without gambling, and as I've said in another thread, I don't intend to spend the rest of my life in online casinos. For now, it's been fun, but life has much more to offer than that.

Gambling is not my profession and I do not use it as a primary source of income. Therefore, if I am offered something that will give me a better life and for that I have to give up gambling completely, then of course I will do it. Because gambling is not my career but whatever will give me a better life is definitely my career. Yes, I can definitely give up gambling to keep my career in order. I don't think it will be too difficult for me.

The way you describe it, it looks like you are gambling for the sole purpose of making money, which is imho a very dangerous approach that more often than not ends up very bad.

Gambling should be about having fun, and if you make some money out of it, even better. In 99.99% of the cases you will end up losing in the long run, so for that reason it is foolish to see it as a way to earn money.

Instead, I do gamble BECAUSE I have a good stable job. Since I know exactly how much I will make each month, I know what I will earn and if I can budget myself carefully both in life and in gambling then it will not matter to me.

Without hesitations I will definitely leave gambling, a job is something I can be sure of a stable income but gambling will not give me a consistent form of income because  it is very dependent on luck, I will not risk stability for luck, it will be foolish to even risk something stable  to a luck dependent source, even as I know that sometimes gambling can be really rewarding but it is on very rare cases, so it is not worth the risk actually.

In a situation whereby you take the offer in the sense that you agree not to gamble again, there must be something you have to bargain with just in case you return to gamble after taking the offer. If there's no bargain, there's a higher possibility that you might go back to gamble. Although, this is for someone that does not have discipline, because without discipline it will be very hard for you to keep to such deal (mostly if you have become an addict gambler), unless there's a close watch.

Sure, there must be a bargain because this can't work without a bargain. The best way to go about this is to take a oath Because this is the only way it would work. But if it's to bargain that failure to do what they ask him or her to do that they will lose everything, I think this is not going to be effective because most guys wouldn't mind breaking the rules some day. Enough money to enjoy anything in life then gambling would only be for entertainment, if that's the case I am sure there are plenty of other things that could give you such entertainment to enjoy your life or time.

In the end, it all depends on how much you can afford to lose $50-$100 in gambling because it has been allocated for entertainment by playing and betting on gambling,
but the danger is if you can't control it and you make deposits repeatedly until you exceed the maximum allocation limit that has been agreed.

From your point of view it does look easy, having full control, allocations already available and a raise that makes you lose a few dollars doesn't matter.
But some people will say $50 is too much and even make them unable to lose that amount, making them stress losing a few dollars in gambling.

Yes, I would do it myself, especially since I don't think quitting gambling is a bad thing. I do gambling sometimes for the money, but if there is a choice that I will get money or a new job that can make me have a very stable income but I have to stop gambling, the most appropriate choice is to stop gambling. It's ridiculous that someone would still choose to gamble and give up an option that I think is better than gambling, the problem is I won't find anyone who gives me that option.

I totally agree that it is actually easy to stop gambling, you just need to be busy with other things that will make you happier or that will help you improve your life. When you're too busy with things, you don't realize that you're gradually helping yourself to stop the gambling habit. So if there's an opportunity that will give you a better and more peaceful life, many people will choose it. If you already have the things you need, you won't chase the money you can get from gambling. It will just become a hobby for others, and they will rarely play.

Since I am gambling for fun and to make profits, I will give uo gambling to live a god life. After all, we weren't born with gambling and if you don't have money in this life you will not be able to take care of your family needs. If I hit the jackpot, I will not gamble for a long time till I have invested the money.

You are definitely right, which is why people should not take gambling to heart because it will do them more harm than good in their lives, that is to say instead of gambling helping their lives in a way they will imagine, it will still destroy their lives, making them to feel very uncomfortable or leading them into being frustrated and depressed, which are cause by irresponsible behavior in gambling.
Which is important for people to gamble responsibly despite the little benefits they might be getting from it, which is not even guaranteed to be for everyday because in gambling, the chances of losing is more higher than winning, which is better for people to gamble within their budget and always be in charge of their emotions for the benefit of their mental wellness.

Gambling for me is a good entertainment and I don't think I would quit it even if all that you mentioned were given to me. I don't gamble to earn money that I could be living a luxury life, I gamble because I enjoy the process. That's been said, if someone told me: "I give you a million USD on the condition that you will never gamble again", I think I would agree because I think with a million dollars I'd find many other things to do to entertain myself. Your question proves nothing than the actual fact to why people turns into gamblers in the first place, some want to turn gambling into jobs but the system won't let them since it's wired against them, some want their successful life dream to happen through gambling, isn't this the truth?

New Job isn't enough for so many people to quit gambling because many gamblers already have good jobs, yet they can't do without gambling, the reasons to this could be...

They are greedy, they want a very big amount of money and their salary isn't enough.
They love to gamble, it's already in the blood before they start earning and having responsibilities.

Money and luxury could be enough for many, but that's if the money and luxury can keep bringing in more massive amounts every now and then, some gamblers will still prefer to waste thee money away through gambling and start afresh again.
