Smoking in front of your children, right or wrong?

Parents are the first role model to their children, most of the things children do they learnt it from their parents, so smoking in front of your kids  is a bad habit because they will grow up with the belief that is a normal thing, and I know some kids will even start practicing from small like buying those stuff , hide in their bathroom and start smoking to see how it work and before you know it they become professional in it, and they start blaming society and think the system failed the children not knowing parents are big contributing factors to all this misconduct.

It’s crazy to admit that I had to quite a lot of habits and even cursing because of my growing child. My son will be 2 in a couple of days and he’s learning almost everything he comes across with, so I choose to be very careful with the things I expose him to, especially from us at home, I know there’ll come a time when he may go out and maybe learn a few things, but as long as I’ve not introduced that to him, I have every right to make him let go of such things and he’ll most likely listen to me, but if I’m actively involved in that thing and asking him not to do it would only make it even more difficult or impossible to let go of that thing.

Values really starts at home and what the kids see from their parents. We notice how their reactions are and that's based on how we've taken care of them. That's why if parents smoke and the kids see it, the chances of them to do it when they grow older is very high. But I know kids that have grown with those kind of parents but they have never adopted the vices that they've seen from them. I guess it's two way around, depending on the family and as well as to the kids if they behave when they grow up. Still, there's an affection of how they're taught by their parents.

Almost like saying it’s easier and more honest to have sex with your wife in their presence than behind them. Maybe it may not actually be wrong, but they’re just kids and can easily get the wrong idea about certain things you (their parent) expose them to, so hiding certain stuffs from them or not having to do it in front of the kids isn’t dishonesty but rather protecting their young naive minds from getting the wrong idea those stuffs, except of course you’re the kinda father that doesn’t care whether or not your kids get the wrong idea or perception about certain things and you’re okay with them having to figure shit out on their one.

If you want to avoid doing things you don't want your kids to emulate is not better you don't do it at all instead of trying to hide for them not to see you, if you really want to stop a bad habit kindly stop it not because of anyone but because it's not good for your health. Smoking is not good for your health if you can avoid it then do it but if you can't avoid smoking then be proud to smoke in front of your kids so that they will be happy to start smoking before 18 years  don't you want to share your smoke with them ?  Sex is what you should nut do in front of them but hey will grow to understand everything even when you don't explain to them.

I am not judging no one because I am not perfect but as you know anything that is worth doing is worth doing well let's stop pretending and tell ourselves the truth. Yes I do not smoke and I do not hate smokers but if you smoke then be proud to smoke in front of your kids so they can also learn to do whet you enjoy is that a bad idea?  Because I am married to my wife I can make out with her in our living room my kids won't be watching us because they will be in your rooms, but that doesn't stop me from giving them the education they need because if they learn about it outside them it's a problem for me.

Why should you even smoke in front of your children. Smoking in front of your children is a bad parenting stuff even though you see it as normal. This are your children for God sake, how can you correct them when you do this stuff. When you smoke and maybe later in the year they start smoking who will you blame. Is totally bad to smoke in front of your children.

I was chilling with my siblings at the rooftop bar section of a hotel when I noticed this man who came on a date with his family and was smoking cannabis freely in front of his wife and two beautiful children of as not more than 5 and 7. It was unpleasant to me because children see their parents as role models and are very fast to copying what they see their parents do. Exposing them to such experience at a tender age reinforces the desire to smoke in them and may even see them start smoking before they are adults, with or without the knowledge and permission of their parents.

Furthermore, there are health implication of inhaling cannabis in their tender body systems. Children can suffer seizures and even breathing problems from cannabis poisoning, it can also cause asthma attacks, unnecessary agitation and even decreased coordination in children. Temporal effects on children can last from 24-36 hours.

I don't condemn smoking as an adult, but it is a better practice not to expose these very tender ones to the harsh physical, health and psychological effects of smoking.

But man is the best creature of all creations on earth only because of his conscience and responsibility. Some of these responsibilities are family, social and moral responsibility. Smoking undoubtedly disregards all these responsibilities. Then there would be no difference between animals and humans only because animals have no conscience as well as no responsibilities.
We know that children are imitators. They learn everything from us, that is, from the family. We human develop our behavior in two ways, number one is - genetically, that is from the characteristics of our parents and number two is - from the environment. So we must be responsible.

Smoking is harmful to everyone, because it pollutes the air. And children are more affected by smoking than adults. Because their lungs and disease control ability are much less and immature than adults. So we certainly hope we don't put our generations at risk.

Personally, I see it as negative practice. I've got friends with kids who smoke but they do this away from the kids. If they're  home, they do it in the backyard or something like that. Smoking around them also ntroduces them to second hand smoking which could increase risk of respiratory problems in the long run or worse so definitely a bad practice. I'm a smoker myself but would never do it around not just kids but people who don't like being around it. Common sense.
