The Biggest mistake I have made with Bitcoin is that i bought late and I sold it early, I thought bitcoin works better on short-term trade instead of long-term trade, when I started trading with Bitcoin, I was so impatience which made me, never to gain any good reward, but ever since I stop trying to be smarter than How Bitcoin market operates and I did more research about Bitcoin, How it’s works and How Bitcoin transactions operate my strategy has really change. I know everyone of us must have come across mistakes while using Bitcoin, you can share your experience and how you overcome your mistake.

I haven't experienced any losses yet, so I haven't caught any mistakes yet. Although I would consider it more of a regret than a mistake, when I started learning about Bitcoin and gaining basic knowledge, the value of Bitcoin was very low. I failed to start investing at that time due to lack of basic knowledge and lack of prudent money. Since I was not a qualified person to invest due to lack of prudent money, I don't consider it a mistake. But I definitely regret this matter now. You mean long term investment? To hodl. You can also have very small amount that you can be investing on bitcoin every week which you will not sell at all, bitcoin price will continue to increase if you do not let the bear market fool you.

The biggest mistake in Bitcoin is not buying Bitcoin when I first heard about it. I had someone who was very interested in Bitcoin and was buying Bitcoin and holding, but for me, because of the serious criticism and ignorance I had then, I had no interest in buying Bitcoin. My big mistake then was not doing research to know better.

Ignorance is a big mistake, and it is the major problem people have with Bitcoin, even those who are investing in Bitcoin, because many think it is just about buying Bitcoin, and this is why they end up making costly mistakes in Bitcoin.

Biggest mistake, but not really something I regret in life.

I think that was during the ICO hype. Putting money into ETH tokens made me rich pretty fast at first, but in the end it turned out to be the wrong move. I was greedy back then, and looking back, I should’ve just used that money to buy Bitcoin. I’d still be enjoying it now with BTC already going over $100k, that alone would’ve been huge money.

I remember Bitcoin dumping after hitting $20k, I was down around $3k if I recall correctly, but at least it recovered. Those shitcoins I bought during the ICO days though, they’re still sleeping until now, or maybe they’re just dead.

I think in the period 2020-2021, Bitcoin suffered a DIP and was at $3800 which as at that time I had legit mining games which gave me real Bitcoin. These games were so legit that I regret it till this day that I didn't grab the opportunity I had to mine a good figure of Bitcoin out of it.

All four games paying or should I say mining legit and depositing to Coinbase wallet when coins are withdrawn. Most times I keep on wondering how come I was so bent on my job then that I couldn't even hold on properly and strongly to the one in a lifetime opportunity that could have turned so many things around because during that time, the rewards per game round was huge due to the DIP unlike now that the rewards are little. It hurts so much to look at these apps now because it feels like they are always saying "BRO YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY."

Except in the very beginning when you could literally mine BTC with a personal computer, you definitely couldn't do that in 2015, let alone 2020. I don't know what exactly it is about, but even today you have various faucets/games that give very small amounts in Bitcoin asking users to click on an advertisement or solve a short link. The problem is that you'd rather pick up a virus/malware than earn something you can withdraw to your wallet.

Let's change this year by treating Bitcoin as an asset that is securely stored in a wallet. Trade with coins other than Bitcoin. For me, Bitcoin is an asset that needs to be held without trading it, even though trading it can generate profits and add to my Bitcoin holdings.

I just found out that there are games like Candy Crush that can generate bitcoins at that time, and I guess by then free bitcoins are no longer available... how much BTC did you earn in those 4 games?

No need to regret it, because you get bitcoin from this game, the results are immediately enjoyed, right at that time? You can now start again, bitcoin is a long-term prospect so let's ignore the past or just make memories.

Well said, we should let go of the past, not dwell on it, instead, focus on the present, on our accumulation of Bitcoin, that's what counts and matters. Not your past mistake, people don't ask or really care about that. What they care about is how successful your Bitcoin journey has been since you started investing in Bitcoin. Are you really a long term holder of Bitcoin or a short term holder. That's what they will care to know not your past mistake

If you get your profit, that's not a big mistake.
Sometimes we feel regret because of our greediness.  
That's why I prefer to hold my Bitcoin and never check the market price, and not aim for quick profits by selling and trying to buy back when the price of Bitcoin goes down.

The biggest mistake IMO is that when you lose your Bitcoin, it's considered a costly mistake.

I've long time ago stopped looking at myself as someone that came into the bitcoin space a bit late even though relative to when it all started, it might look like I'm a bit late but then, what can I actually do about it rather than move on and plan for the future?

At anytime I actually sold my bitcoin even though I rarely do so, it's always burned out of an unavoidable neccesity and for such, I have no regret doing so because to an extent, the purpose of owning bitcoin is also that in times of need, you get something you can also use to bail yourself out of it. As long as I'm still invested and have no plans of opting our anytime soon, I will rather be more concerned about the future rather than looking at the past that's gone and gone for good.
