Do casinos lose popularity once they stop advertising here?

I think in SEO it won't lose popularity even if they are not promoting or advertising their site here.
The only impact that I know will be lost is the traffic because no one is wearing the signature; it also reduces their brand visibility.
Look, old users here still know it, but how about the newcomers?

Only those who have ran a very short campaign losses their popularity once they have stopped their campaigns. But those who have ran for so long and have other avenues to post their banners and ads, they're continuing with that another chosen path to display their ads.

The casino wouldn't be visible for old and new members to check out because out of sight is out of mind.

Honestly it's true. Since it's the biggest crypto community as you said,also gamblers are much here so promoting your brand here will be of a success, but when you post only one don't mean it end there you have to be active always. Because once casino stops to be noticed then their ANN will go back to their old pages and before you will realise it the post both old and new members won't notice that thread again and there is the saying if you're not been recognised or noticed by people that means you have been forgotten, that's how it is.

It's not a rule, but most casinos prefer to err on the side of caution because if all crypto casinos advertise here and you choose to stop, you're taking a risk and I've seen a couple of them testing it. They would start advertising, do it for a few months, then stop and check the numbers and then... most of them come back when these numbers drop
So yes most lose clients when they stop advertising but it's mostly because all their competitors do it, so when you stop people start to suspect that you don't have enough money, the business might be in trouble, so they go to casinos that can afford advertising.

I will not blame any casino gambling platform for putting their promotion on hold because there could be any form of internal challenges from within their team regarding the promotion here on the forum, but to take a look at it from the other aspect for them to have started this and gotten to an extent shows the level of result they have achieved before stopping.

This is not true, not always at least. The forum is not the only place to market a casino. Casinos market their services in various ways. There is social media and other platforms, so the fact that a casino is no more marketing here doesn't mean their exposure has stopped.
I understand that there is a lot of traffic and gamblers here, but that does not mean this is the only place to advertise their services. You can see casino or betting company ads on other websites and on TV. We even see them in sports stadiums. As long as it's a country where gambling and gambling advertisement are legally permitted, they can run Google ads too, so I don't believe it's true that the exposure of a casino drops whenever they stop advertising here. If it happens, it is due to a poor marketing or the casino is just declining.

Forums like this are more about discovery and trust-building early on. Once a casino has an established base, they can survive without constant presence here but staying visible helps signal that nothing has changed behind the scenes.

Doesn't have to be. I mean it does help to do advertisement here, because this is the biggest crypto forum and gambling on this forum is literally keeping it afloat, if gambling was removed from this forum then there would be very few things left to write here, and yet, you are not forced to.

You can still be a casino with crypto in it and can do advertisement in other places and grow, it's possible. Bitcointalk isn't a "must" for them, it's a "good to have" for them and would benefit but it is not a sure thing.

Not losing exposure, since they don't advertise on this forum anymore, their exposure looks & feels a bit off. Previously, they had a signature campaign here, besides that, they're also the main sponsor for BSFL. You should also know that they also have official advertising outside the forum & I think it's massive, as I recall they were once the main sponsor of Southampton as well.

AFAIK, the biggest crypto casino right now is Stake & even now, they advertise on this forum with their signature campaign participants which is spammy (IMO). Look at what the big fish are doing, they still think sustainable advertising is important.

Staying here does matter too. If you take your time to do a quick scan through the service board you’ll realise that there are so many casinos who came to the forum and the launched a nice campaign which got them the popularity they wanted but after they stopped their campaign, both their Ann threads and every other thing related to them disappeared too.

You can even decide not to launch a huge campaign and do it small, and you’ll be able to keep your presence here rather than just completely shutting everything and thinking you’ll still get the same attention as you did when you started.

As for me the answer is no because here (Bitcointalk.org) is just a crypto forum which means there are a lot of crypto gamblers here. But outside the forum there are still more of a crypto gamblers too. As a matter of fact I think they build their brand here gradually by running a signature campaign and some other marketing stuffs.
However, don't forget the fact that there are other platforms where they can advertise their platforms too, we have X, Instagram and other social media platforms where companies advertise their platforms/products.

It depends on the context because it is never a direct answer. If a casino stop advertising here, they may lose popularity here but they may still remain very well in business from other communities. There are some casinos doing well that are not advertising here but very active on social media, that will make them lose the players here who are many but that does not mean they lost popularity as top casinos.  I'm saying this because I know some casinos that are very big even though they don't advertise here. They are crypto casinos for those that may want to ask and are among the top rated casinos and I don't know how they built their user base off Bitcointalk.

I think this forum is a good place for casinos to advertise, especially those related to crypto, as it is closely tied to that topic. I suspect certain casinos have also seen user growth or increased activity at their casinos due to advertising here. So, I think casinos still need this forum for advertising or exposure, but it all depends on the casino policy. They might be considering funding for advertising, forcing them to temporarily suspend it. I suspect they will return to this forum once they can allocate funds for promotional expenses. Essentially, this forum clearly provides beneficial exposure for any casino, and that is why some casinos have remained here for so long, maybe because they have sufficient funds to invest in promotions.

Promotion here is also good but it doesn't give the reason for the casino to be not operational if they will stop their campaign here. Once they stopped, it means, they already achieved what they really wanted in advertising here. But of course, with continuous presence is still good as the players here are getting the notion that the site is always reachable. But do note that a lot of high rollers are not found in the forum.
For me, they can stop their promotion but they should not stop being active in the forum - meaning, if there are questions and other concerns in their respective thread, they should still answer completely. In short, their presence can still be felt in this forum.
