Considering the poverty in Bangladesh, I consider any job there as godsend and most of the rich people there are living in other countries making money and sending it back home.

Of course skills will matter in making money but if the people you are selling your skills to are as bad any other person, then you will never be able to grow beyond a certain point.

Capital helps, and having capital cannot be downplayed with skills, it will be the skills that multiply the capital.

In my country, many people leave for better nations and work there and send money back to our home country too. Many of my friends left and went to work in Europe and earning enough to send 500 euro per month back to their family, and 500 euro may not be huge for Europeans, but it is insane for where I live, not enough to live just on 500 euro, but as a "side" help? That is very good, if I received 500 euro per month extra on top of my work? I would literally be crying from joy. So, it is very common in poorer nations to do this.

If you think about it, people in ancient times did not have money on their minds the way we do today. They lived by hunting animals and birds in forests and jungles, and they focused on survival and reproduction. Their lives were limited to that simple system.
But if you look at the modern world today, the main requirement for survival is money. In this era, almost everything can be bought with money, and many problems can be solved through it. From this, we can understand that in today’s world, to live a good life, money has become the real asset.
Otherwise, people today would still be living the same way ancient humans did.

In my own view the most important factor you should always put first even above your skills and your big capital is a hard work mentality. You have to have the mentality of working hard against all challenges and odds, you must have the habit of staying consistent with the work you do because without this factor, even your skills and capital can become useless.

If you are in the business industry you will already understand that the world is full of challenges and tough moments and anyone who really wants to succeed in his business must be ready to work very hard to stay relevant and consistent in the market and if you want to be successful, then you must also be ready to face the worst at times.

A hard work ethic is important, but I do not think it is the most important factor. Because to succeed in business, many factors need to be combined. We cannot succeed solely through hard work, or have capital without experience or diligence. How can your hard work help your business survive or thrive if you do not have enough capital to maintain and expand it? Therefore, what we should do is combine and balance these factors, rather than prioritizing one over another or ignoring the rest.

That is why business has never been easy and is not for everyone.

However, if I had to choose, which factor is the most important in business? I still believe that capital is the most important factor. Because we can accumulate experience and skills over time, that won't be easy with capital.

hard work is important no one can make shortcuts to success but there is also a difference between working hard and working smart and sometimes certain situations ask for the latter

Different times certainly have differences in how they live. In the past, there was no electricity, internet, or vehicles that require fuel. So, their simple lifestyle in the jungle was sufficient for them because they (ancient humans) did not live in cities like most people today, who constantly need money to sustain their lives. This cannot be ignored because every person who needs money does not only use it to fill their stomachs, but also to fulfill other things such as paying electricity bills, internet and also other things such as water and cleaning bills.

I agree that success can begin with skills. But I disagree with your first statement, which states that success can't begin with large capital. Someone with substantial capital at the start of a business has the privilege of learning business firsthand because they can start on a large scale. And they aren't afraid of losses because if they fail, they can learn from the experience and still have the money to start again. Unlike someone with skills but no capital, they have to start from home or their garage, gathering money and connections, and building their business to scale. But if you're a person with an average salary, you need skills first to start your business. Once you've mastered the skills and have a target market, you can use a bank loan or your savings to start expanding your business.

No, I never believe it. Because if a person is hardworking and has no idea about any kind of work. Then he will never achieve success. We all know that a skilled and hardworking person moves towards success the fastest. So if we have a lot of money and skills and work less we can get success. So you can never say for sure. Yes, if we work hard, any task becomes much easier. But to get success in any business, you have to create a perfect and planned pattern and work accordingly.

Some of my relatives work as chefs in 2 or 3 star hotel, and others are barbers. They all admitted to me that they occasionally watch youtube to learn or expand their knowledge. But they insisted that it was impossible to become a barber or a chef simply by watching those purely theoretical video 

Those are just a few of the professions I've listed, there are hundreds more that you'll never be able to master just by learning online. This is especially true for high paying jobs such as doctor, engineer, banker, and those working in the oil and gas industry.

More importantly, I want to ask you: have you actually taught yourself a skill online and become proficient in that field, or is this just your imagination?

I am not saying one can become just by watching video alone but need practice that they can do from things they have learned from the youtube alone, maybe they won't find a job in a star hotel but I am sure it will be enough make a dish that is worth eating and can start a small business with that skill so being a business owner is possible with self taught knowledge.

I didn't have that need to become a professional but if I want then I definitely can become one, let's just take bitcoin itself who taught everyone to become an expert how satoshi came up and even if he had that dream and executed how others learned about bitcoin and it's technical side and 99% of the stuff are just from online forums alone.

I would rather invest that money into something that actually bring me return like bitcoin or stocks rather than investing on me because if there is something we need to learn then we can always get that for free now, this is internet era and every information is available over the websites, in different formats so we don't necessarily need to spend like 50K or 500K to make us better in something.

Well, there are some people who don't have the ability to learn by themselves or online; instead, they would prefer to go to training where they can get a better foundation of understanding.

A valuable skill can build huge capital from nothing. A big capital is only an advantage Which doesn't guarantee success in most cases. I personally prefer building from scratch with little or no capital in most cases because it helps uncovers what works and what doesn't. Sometimes big capitals brings distractions and overconfidence which leads to unexpected disasters.

OP,For me success doesn’t really start with having a lot of money, most of us dont have that anyway. It starts with skills, experience and making mistake a few times. You learn by failing and fixing it then try again. Now when you actually know how to solve problems, you can start with almost nothing. Money helps later, but without skills it just helps you make bigger mistakes faster.

You do not become a head chef in a Michelin restaurant by making a gourmet French meal on your first try, no, you start by making an egg meal, like omelette or something, and then perfecting that. Same with trading too, if you want to make money, then you do not start with getting a million dollars worth of some small token and hope you turn it into 10+ million instead.

I haven't said one can start a business by self-teaching and zero capital, even though it is possible in some cases but in general, one can learn how to cook and start a roadside cart or something like that and from there their journey towards achieving big things will begin.

A valuable skill with no capital will not be visible to those who are willing to support the skill to make it become will establish so it's important you have good still and the capital to make the skill visible to attract more important people they will make the skill become a reality. Capital without hood skill will gradually burn down the capital without achieving the amount invested but when you mix up the valuable skill you have with the capital that gives your skill visibility you will expand your brand and make it become a global brand due to the progress you made using your capital to push your skills to reach your wife audience.
