Try it, put your theory to the test! Post 1NXYoJ5xU91Jp83XfVMHwwTUyZFK64BoAD and get theymos banned!
Why did you have to do him like that?  Grin. You just called his suggestion lame without using too much words. That's harsh!

1. Buy a Jr.member account (the cheapest one).
2. Use a hero or legendary member's old legacy address in games and rounds or in some giveaway.
3. Then, wait to be reported as known alt accounts.
4. After confirmed for alt account, do a copy-paste to get perma ban. (easy as 1,2,3..)
5. After ban of Jr.member, now wait for reporting of ban evasion to ban that legendary member to accomplish a mission.
You can give it a try, but likely it won't happen with a Jr member account. You have to build or purchase at least a sr. member or above. But still, just copy-pasting the address won't help you. To ban a high-ranked account for evading a ban, moderators would have some more investigation besides the evidence you provide. If it was so easy, then we would have lost our account long ago. Because I have a lot of enemies here since I left a lot of tags.

However, it's quite impossible a Legendary member will create a new account to copy and paste from there. It doesn't make sense; use your brain. It's just a matter of common sense. If something like this were possible, then most of the DT members would be banned from the forum.

Btw, having multiple accounts allowed unless you abuse the forum system or signature campaigns. So reporting as known alt accounts doesn't make sense.

Here is the rule no: 25

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.

Now consider a scenario:

Does the ban evasion rule need to be improved or do I miss something in-between?
I'm really sorry for making me laugh and cry, but I like your theory. If it's that easy, I'll be able to ban a lot of users soon by doing this. Sir @jg_btc Moderators are not that stupid. You're overthinking it. Anyway, that's your ignorance. Because you're new here like me.

Mods don't draw conclusions based on connected addresses alone. They usually look at a combination of factors such as post patterns, writing style, frequently visited boards, time of access, and basic browser data like user-agent information and cookies (if enabled).

Except there are multiple on-chain transactions clearly linking addresses, that
makes the evidence strong enough and makes it difficult or even harder to dismiss.

To sort of back up the claims of mods acting on more information that just address posted...I probably haven't nuked anyone for ban evasion in the last couple of months. I may have found some connected accounts, just by posting habits which I nuked all at once, but not specifically ban evasion at the time, rather just the user had already posted identical content like a fake project / malware which connected them, but weren't bad from their 'main' account yet.

The reason I don't tend to nuke anyone for ban evasion, is I leave those reports to staff who have a little more access to tools which would aid in identifying alt accounts. I definitely have had ban evasion cases I've handled in the past, just not very often, unless I want to go down a rabit hole chasing connections, when it might just be easier for staff who have more access to aids specifically for ban evasion.

To be honest, from my end I rarely do see ban evasion reports also. Probably, because for the most part it does go unnoticed. So, would be interesting to know how many accounts are banned on a weekly basis based on ban evasion alone.

In other words, these tools are available to other staff, but they don't block anyone until a rule violation is reported? In this case, this really justifies the cases where we see that blocking doesn't always occur; perhaps there are other methods of detection.
Furthermore, anyone who wants to develop alternative accounts that shouldn't appear on the forum after a ban should be prepared for the possibility that one day, unexpectedly, another account may be banned, as staff may want to conduct an investigation and purge such violators.
Everything is fair; the rules must be followed. Cheesy

2. Use a hero or legendary member's old legacy address in games and rounds or in some giveaway.
Forum is interested on the transactions that took place in the forum...but transaction out side the forum, forum is not interested for it, But know that using the same wallet neither legacy or Segwit address to apply in any contest with your Hero member account and as case by be, you use same wallet to apply in a newbie account or higher account, if one is been ban, ban evasion law will act on the remaining, no matter the rank.
