All, luckily unmarried at their early 20s got to know about bitcoin many years ago. They said they competed savings amongst themselves in bitcoin not minding their status of hunger, low life, bad cloths for 13 years and hardly sold any until 2024 and 2025.

Why all of a sudden they decide to spend their bitcoins? They thought this is the bitcoin price would never reach the high or they thought they made enough.

I am not disagreeing with whatever you said, who we keep in our company and say we are friends says a lot about our character.

Stories like this only make me miss the time I was still in the university, I wouldn't have missed the opportunities I missed in Bitcoin if I were still in the midst of my friends as a student. There's nothing  newly coming out globally then that we did not know and share, and it doesn't matter whether they would work or not, we still tried them. I would have amassed my stash of Bitcoin then as well, but after graduation, everyone has had different focuses, which hurts me whenever I think about it. Bitcoin was created a few years after our graduation.

You also reminded me of my University days. Knowledge was never a thing we hoarded to ourselves. We always share, even then, I knew about Bitcoin, which led me to the bitcointalk forum, but too bad, when Bitcoin came out, I was still taking basic education.

This is the type of friend that we all need. Friends that help you grow, not friends that bring you down. Nothing I hate more than a friend who kicks against every idea but never has an idea to contribute.

That's good for them. They have endured all of the pain in the market for several years before they've finally made a decision to sell and enjoy their profits.

And they're also good people that they're not bragging it and allowed people to get curious what happened to them and how they're able to afford that.

We should be surrounded with the type of people that inspire and motivate us to be better, not the ones that keep us to our old habits of self destruction. It might not be a big deal to you now but you will realize that your friends affect your lifestyle so much more than you realize.

I personally keep away from friends who talk badly of bitcoin because I don’t want my energy drained by them.

It's all about keeping the right friends because not all friends we can have are the good ones because there might be some friends who are only good on the surface but have bad intentions on you. Having a friend with the same mindset as you may bring good fortune like the story that op shared about competing on who will remain and believe in bitcoin until they did achieve their goal. It's also good that they are not bragging at all when they earn profit and instead they support each other and as op said that they now have houses and good rides.

Is friendship all about money?  Not because people got rich means they are really a good friend.  I know people who got rich but do not even pay attention to people who help them when they are down.  It is indeed a wise move for them to ride the Bitcoin wagon early and able to hodl and sell at the right time.  But I do not think that those action can determine whether they are the right friends or not.

Friends can push you up, or pull you down. But the story you have shared is quite inspiring because they have shared common goals for bitcoin, and believe on it that its the key to the best future. This is a realization that there's no impossible with bitcoin if faith and patience both work together to achieve the target goal.

However, the risk is always there, that's why we don't have to focus only on bitcoin and rely everything to it. Its a good thing if we have a stable job to count and make bitcoin as additional source of investment, an aid for our future retirement.

It's great to hear such an inspiring story. Not many friends have the same mindset as your friend.. Most focus only on momentary pleasures, enjoying their youth with all its entertainment, without realising that life is too short for such things.

Well, I can see myself in them. I can say I had enough Bitcoin bought during the early days when I introduced, and sold some at highs. But Bitcoin really taught me a lot of things, not only the early investment I did. Because during this phase, I became valuable to my money, I became responsible for my finances too, the way I save money also changed compared before when I still don't know about Bitcoin.

Secret to these seven friends was being equally strong willed, they tried to save for 13 years and did not sell even when they were hungry and this made them low paid workers but now they are bosses who offer jobs to others. So I think it was their right time since 2024 Halving and huge interest of big companies in 2025 was giving prizes to those with most time in market. I agree with fact that our future is decided by friends that we hang out with since had these men listened to words of mean people that judged their cheap clothes, they would have been forced to sell at young age and fail to get their current wealth. I recommend to focus on your own groups of Friends of Destiny who would tell you to be patient and wait to have better tomorrow.

Make it make sense, it can only be bitcoin. I can count 7 people in my community that are friends and were either petty traders or low salary earning sales reps, but they are presently employers of labors. Not only that, they ride good cars, have good houses and live good lives. Do you know the secret? It's Bitcoin. I never knew this until recently, I thought they were into fraud, the wealth was sudden.

The only wealth I know of that is always sudden is lottery or gambling wins, Bitcoin wealth isn't sudden, to rob a bank isn't even sudden as well, it comes with lots of preparation and determination, challenges and obstacles stands strong in the way too, it is a very bumpy road with Bitcoin, let's not make it sound easy, nothing good comes easy.

If I happen to know people who have made it with Bitcoin I will congrat them for their bravery, because that's the toughest part of getting involved with Bitcoin, many people knew Bitcoin and they got involved only to surrender on the half way because they can't cope with it, many people are not mentally prepared for the long term journey, so bravery are those who made it through Bitcoin.

OP, what have women done to you that you're so deeply hurt and so dismissive of marriage? To me, this is a sign that you are not succeeding in your relationships with women. And how can this possibly be related to success? You know, sometimes women really change their men's lives by being loyal friends and colleagues in building a business, and family becomes their only support in good and bad times. Friends? Friends are always plentiful where there is money, but as soon as you stumble and fall, you will immediately see how "many real" friends you once had. Sometimes they become few, if any, or disappear altogether. So change your mindset; perhaps in the future it will dawn on you, and you will realize your mistakes.

I'm also very grateful to my friends who introduced me to cryptocurrency many years ago. Although I didn't fully grasp what a magnificent technological breakthrough it was at first (I'm talking about blockchain now), I later understood the charm of Bitcoin and became fascinated with it long before it was worth more than $5,000.
But I'm in no hurry to share information about the world of cryptocurrency with colleagues and acquaintances, because they won't be grateful. This has been discussed here a thousand times, and I believe there's no need to take responsibility for other people's investments. It's a personal matter now. But with my true friends, I always discuss cryptocurrency.

I have my set of friends that are bitcoiners. I was introduced to bitcoin by one of them but didn't take it serious until I became a member of this forum. When you have friends with similar goals and work towards it together, it becomes a motivation to all and everyone will be committed to it.

I have introduced bitcoin to my younger brother and he's also accumulating whenever, he has spare cash. There's a say that 'show me your friend and I'll tell you who you are' knowing about bitcoin was the best thing that has happened in my life.

That's true, I also have a circle of friends who have been crypto for ten years, we have known each other for ten years, and each of them has also become a member here on the forum. Not all of them have stayed, but at least they are still updated on online earnings in crypto, even though they are no longer here on the forum. The only sad thing is that some of them have passed away in life, but I am happy that I met them, and some of them shared ideas that can help me here or in real life.

If I had known about Bitcoin 10 years ago and started investing on it, I would have been among the fortunate people that bought back then and held till now.

In fact, even if you knew Bitcoin early, you can't say that you still have some that you've been hiding until now. You can't avoid spending it sometimes, especially knowing that you have money set aside. Most people actually sell it, except for those who have earned too much and have some that they don't need to use anymore. A circle of friends can help, but it's still your decision how you hide it or grow it.

I wish I had the same group of friends, but alas, at the time of Bitcoin conception, we were busy sticking our faces in computer monitors playing video games, still a competition, but not really productive. 

Oh, that's serious. Good and productive friends are like a gem, you are lucky if you have one. But we don't think towards that angle as we grow until we are fully mature and are accountable.

Doing many other fun activities of life are not bad, but we need to moderate them, anything taking our time too much without adding gains to us should be avoided or regulated. Yours is even fine, mine is worse in this reflection. Most of my friends would always talk about social trends, drink alcohol and discuss about women. This could happen for several hours to see how poor my choice is.

Even before learning about these guys I posted, I'd started limiting the circle to reasonable ones. Good company is nonnegotiable for a quality lifestyle and growth.

Well we are all expecting great things but we have to put in effort if we are truly looking for financial success in our Bitcoin journey. That said I like to believe that as crypto enthusiasts, yes who we trust and spend our time with truly matters a lot especially when you all have a common goal Like basically, there will be competition, there will be consistency,because nobody wants to be left behind, there will be cooperation between themselves based on their self interest and common goal to be successful.well it's actually rare to find such friends you can trust. That's why for me I might not have friends who I can talk to about crypto related stuff / bitcoin .but I do have friends which we are all striving for financial success....


Overall easy to say the long term is all about patience and consistency because wealth isn't built overnight but over time. That's just it we should always choose the friends that we are close to, because most of them might have impact to you and some of them are just there to distract or discourage you in your journey....
