is it happening on direct internet connection on wifi or cellular? are you using VPN? we have not been able to replicate ....
I use wifi at home in Georgia (a country in Asia, not a U.S. state ) I have tried two devices. Both with VPN and without it. I tried a few times yesterday and today. Self test always failed. But at some point, access to the server must have returned. I noticed an unfamiliar transaction in my history that supposedly wiped out my entire Arkade balance. I got scared and reached out to the Arkade community. They advised me to import my seed phrase into a different wallet. I did that, and the wallet showed my balance and transaction history, but the last transaction displayed in Layerz is missing there.

That was scary. It would be wise to consolidate the entire balance to another wallet with a new seed phrase just to be safe. Then it's up to you to decide to return to Layerz once they figured out the issue. By the way, you can export your app.log via that " Share log file" below the self test window, that might help them figure it out. ( Email it to yourself if you have no other option to save it locally) But only do that once you cleared your entire balance from it first. -edit-typo-

Yes, just in case, I withdrew everything that was in all protocols (after all, in Layerz, the same seed phrase grants access to funds in all L2s and L1 as well).
But I think there are no real reasons to worry. It is unlikely that my seed phrase was compromised, otherwise, on-chain funds would have been withdrawn first. And nothing of the sort happened here. That strange transaction from July 1st, which allegedly withdrew everything I had in Arkade, actually didn't withdraw anything. I was easily able to transfer the entire amount (220,142 SAT) via another wallet. Most likely, the history entry claiming that my funds were spent on July 1st is the result of some connection issues with the Electrum server, which, by the way, still persist.

In my view, you just fell for Layer's claim of being a wallet of wallets for all protocols. Such a wallet has an enormous codebase which is hard to check line by line, which may hide doors through which your funds may be withdrawn without your consent. In my view, it's always a better option to have separate wallets, each of which serves one protocol, than trying to use universal wallets for all possible layers.

That was fast. ( great job on this part) How about the server issue? Self test is still failing in v1.4.0~v1.5.4 with " Electrum not connected" error. I've sent my latest test error in-app just in case you need it. ( I'm based in Asia as well, BTW)

Self test is still failing in v1.4.0~v1.5.4 with "Electrum not connected" error.
How did you manage to get version 1.5.4? I see that the latest version currently available on both Play Market and GitHub is 1.4.0. I would also like to try out version 1.5.4. LayerzWallet keeps posting about some new features here, but at the same time, nothing has been updated since January in the sources I know.

Thanks. I must have been looking in the wrong place when I thought the latest version in the Play Market was 1.4.0. Yes, version 1.5.4 is indeed available there. I installed it, and the Self Test was successful. However, my Arkade history is now empty. It appeared on the screen for just a split second and then disappeared. Is this the exact Ark issue that will be fixed in the upcoming version? Or does that problem manifest differently?

Is the source just not being kept in sync with what's shipped, or is there something else going on? What is the real story behind such a discrepancy?

Okay, self test is now successful with " Test Passed" result. BTW, before this workaround, the error was consistent even in multiple consecutive attempts. What is the real story behind such a discrepancy? the github code is up-to-date and the development is done in the open on gituhb, nothing hidden, can be verified. The release process in github is manual so we don't updated it that often as there isn't many requests for it. But we can and will improve on this area.
