Of course, with my example, I tried to show someone who might end up putting a lot of priority in buying bitcoin every two weeks with his ₦50,000-ish that he believes that he can reasonably accomplish every two weeks.

And, for sure, normal people are going to frequently have various challenges in regards to their income and/or their expenses, yet they can still try to prioritize bitcoin investing within what they are doing within means that they believe to be reasonably accomplishable.

Another reason that I stick with an example of ₦50,000 per 2 weeks is that it is easier to calculate as compared with changes that might end up taking place in regards to a guy's life and his ongoing income/expenses, so for simplicity in the example, we can try to average it out and then just work with a presumption of an average amount, even though we know that in reality the average is going to likely vary, even when a guy might even be ongoingly striving to maintain his average bitcoin buy amounts.

Also related to the ease of bitcoin, as compared with other investments.  There are ways that we can set up direct relationships to get the coins and then maybe every few months we transfer parts of our accumulated coins to our private wallets so that we do not end up losing our coins due to some third party risks.  As you and others reiterated, other investments might have challenges in terms of being able to accumulate enough funds to be eligible to invest and sometimes there will be needs to get special connections in order to be able to invest, yet bitcoin is available to everyone and anyone and even for relatively low amounts each time, even though we might have goals to invest higher amounts, there may be periods in which we are ONLY able to invest small amounts while we are figuring out ways to increase our income and/or decrease our expenses.
Well I think that the #50,000 example that you gave serves its purpose coz it very well gives most investors something practical to work with instead of you just leaving your explanation purely theoretical.. With a bit of research, I have observed that the reason why majority of folks delay in kickstarting their accumulation journey is coz they haven't gotten that huge or consistent income that they have always longed for.. Truth be told Bitcoin is for everyone regardless of your career, financial status, income level, Race/Nationality and whatnot... This means that I can be an average Nigerian guy who is still trying to make both ends meet, but still able to invest in bitcoin either in a consistent or inconsistent manner, depending on the availability of my Discretionary income... But then most keep missing out he point. Coz they still operate with that mindset of them comparing their financial life with Investor A and Investor B, and that comparison has been a blockage to them actually starting...
In a way your explanation has broken down the concept of Bitcoin's divisibility... And because Bitcoin is divisible(into 100 million Satoshi's), it very well means that folks can start accumulating with whatsoever amount of discretionary income that feels comfortable for them... Instead of them remaining stuck with the mindset that Bitcoin is only for the rich folks or those with a consistent income...
There are people that has not started investing in bitcoin because they feel that they need to have a huge amount of money before starting. There are also those that feels that bitcoin is rather too expensive for them to invest in it. However, the true is that no matter how small our discretionary income is , we can always start with the smaller amounts. As you have mentioned that some folks like comparing there bitcoin investment to that of others. It is wrong for an investor to be comparing there bitcoin investment with that of others investor. Because their financial situation isn't the same and such comparisons may make them to invest more than their discretionary income in bitcoin making it unhealthy for long term holding of bitcoin.

Lol do you know what is gambling and what is Investing. You're with this since 2023 still lacking fundamental of the crypto. In gambling if you lost no chance of getting back but in btc there's a chance.

Gambling and Investment is a different things. However, if you lost your money in investement I don't really see the chance of getting it back, unless if you invest again and wait for the right time to withdraw then maybe you will get profit from it.  Although, I understand that gambling and investment is not even close to each other, but one thing is for sure Bitcoin investment is not prediction like gambling you must be knowledgeable about what you are trying to put your money into. While gambling is all about peediction.
Gambling and investing can never be the same. Because the nature of these two is different, where one creates possibilities in the long run through skill, research, and proper management, and on the other hand gambling, which is completely dependent on luck.
When you invest in a place, you have to research all the things there, what is the risk, what is the possibility, as well as whether you have the financial ability and mental capacity to manage the investment properly, all these things are very important. An investment cannot make you successful for sure, there are risks involved, so before managing or starting an investment, you must research these risk factors and then start. Then your investment will have a higher chance of success.
But none of these are in gambling, you have nothing to do there, and this is what makes gambling and investing completely different.

It now clearer to me, the goal is not to be a perfect investor but to be consistent with what you are investing, base on your time space. It could be a week, 2 weeks or even a month, but remain consistent with the accumulation. So even when things get a bit hard for you, instead of choosing to abandon your accumulation, you can just cut down what you are investing. Let say in a case when you invest #50,000 and you begin to face some difficulties you can just cut it down to #30,000 until you get your financial stability then you move it back to #50,000

Bitcoin investment also remains the most affordable investment you can get into, it low entry point have made it very easy for even a common man to invest in. It also gives you that total control of your assets. Bitcoin will always be that tool that allows even an common person to build wealth over time.
Nice point, what we should know is that discretionary income isn't fixed per the amount you figured out first. It can be flexible or change depending on the condition of your cash flow. There might be a time where a guy receive extra bonuses to his salary or additional income or overtime pay , and if he chooses ,  he can increase his discretionary amount for sometimes as long as it doesn't affect his other finances or lifestyle. Just like where it can be reduced for some period of time (temporary ) especially when cash flow isn't in a good condition.  The goal is to make sure that our investment plan adapts to the changes in our income. That way an investor can maintain his consistent accumulation, without having to the thought of stopping because of sudden change in cash flow.

I agree with you. Every person is different. It is better to increase your financial capacity without comparing yourself with someone else's financial capacity. Comparing yourself with others or following them will be a wrong decision. If your capacity is $5, then start with $5 because most successful people started from a very small size and worked their way up to this level.

Most of the investment threads on this forum emphasize on not going over the limit. Most investors make this mistake because they use the entire amount of funds they have in the hope of making more profit and later regret it.

You have made a very good point here, as an investor it’s good to invest within your means, you don’t have to look at what someone else is doing and you want to do that as well, everyone have there financial capacity, let me assume that your financial capacity is to invest $50 on a weekly or monthly basis you have to stick with that, so you don’t over invest and get yourself into problems that will warrant you to sell off your bitcoin assets, JJG would always advise us to invest within our means, is better to invest within your means on a little by little investment considering your cashflow and availability of discretionary income, however you can always look for other means of increasing your cashflow that would also help in increasing your amount of investment.

I totally agree with you, chasing a quick profit in bitcoin will lead to loss your investment in the total. If you want to invest and don’t want to regret investing in bitcoin you have to make it true by investing for a long time because that when you will see your profits. True investors will not say that investment is gambling but it will still determine how you are trying to invest.

Newbies to Bitcoin investing can start with just Bitcoin and cash and then work their way up. For example, if they invest 10% of their income in Bitcoin for 10 years, they will have invested about 1 year of their income in Bitcoin at that time. And they should definitely study Bitcoin in 10 years, so that they understand whether they need to change their strategy. Investors should try to find ways in which they can invest in Bitcoin as aggressively as possible without going overboard. And when newbies are interested in investing, they are not in a good position to invest aggressively, so they usually need to gradually gain skills in things like buying Bitcoin and managing cash flow before they can increase their level of aggression. Of course, if they are already experienced in investing and managing cash flow, they will be at an advantage compared to complete beginners in Bitcoin investing. The common sense of beginners starting to buy Bitcoin will help them determine a reasonable initial investment amount based on their financial, emotional, and other life circumstances at the time.

Bitcoin investment is not a competition so every investor should put money into Bitcoin according to their discretionary funds, the goal isn't concerning who gets the biggest reward or who more into their portfolio but who manage their investment properly till overaccumulation is reached, which should be every investors target.

Therefore you're right that investing within ones means is good. Anyone who follows the advice of JJG would probably have a successful investment if the person doesn't deviate on the long run, I'm proud to say I've learnt alot from him and still open to learn more including being corrected when i saying misleading things here.

it is when an investor doesn't have any plans or investment goals that they will be competing with others investor. An investor that has a planned won't be comparing themselves with other investors or approach their bitcoin investment the same way other investors are doing. Because they already has planned on they intend to go about their bitcoin investment and the plan is based on their financial situation. There are investors that can be able to used a large sum amount to buy bitcoin, it will be wrong for investors with smaller amounts to compare themselves with this big investors before they will make mistakes they will later regret. It is wrong for someone to invest with the mindset of competing with others investor.

You are not getting the point. What it means by if someone lost money in Bitcoin is not that someone’s Bitcoin will be lost. What it is trying to say is that if someone invested in Bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin is down, maybe someone got Bitcoin at a price of $65k and the Bitcoin price now drops to, like, $30k. That means that Bitcoin has just lost value, and someone has lost some money not that their Bitcoin that is lost.At some point, if the Bitcoin price increases, they will definitely get back their money lose when the price was down .That is why it is said that there is always a chances of someone getting back their lost money in a Bitcoin investment. And that is what really makes it different from gambling, because in gambling, once someone loses money, the money is gone forever because it is an asset.

This is why you should plan a long-term investment with reality instead of thinking about making quick profits. Those who invest in Bitcoin thinking about making quick profits can never survive in the field of investment. Rather, whenever they face market instability, they end their investment by making wrong decisions in panic. At that time, they also have to face huge losses, but even after that they sell their investment, this is the only reason why they do not have the realistic credibility to hold the investment for the long term. Here, along with risk management, you must be patient, you should not dream of getting rich overnight, because if you follow this path that getting rich overnight, it will lead you to destruction, because it is never possible to make a profit through such short-term buying and selling.

If a person were able to invest ₦50,000 every two weeks, then after 40 weeks he would have had invested ₦1 million, and sure maybe it could take even a year to get the investment up to ₦1 million by investing ₦50,000 every two weeks.

And, if we are really investing rather than trading, then our investment timeline should become 4-10 years or longer, so if we figure that we are able to put ₦1 million per year into bitcoin, then after 10 years, we would have had put in ₦10 million, and at the same time, we might question whether bitcoin is going to end up going up, down or sideways in the next 10 years.  We cannot guarantee which way bitcoin will go, yet a lot of us who are in bitcoin and who have been in bitcoin consider bitcoin to be a good place to put time, energy and value because we consider that there are good odds that bitcoin's prices are going to continue to go up more than the value of dollars or of any other fiat.

So, the most that any of us can lose is the amount that we put into bitcoin, yet we also have decently good chances that the value of our Naira will go up more if we put that into bitcoin rather than keeping it in naira or putting it into any other investment.. and at the same time, there are not very many investments that allow a person to put such a small amount of value in on a regular basis, since so many investments have a lot of barriers that make it harder to invest in them regularly, consistently, persistently, ongoingly and even for relatively small amounts of value.

This is a very good strategy for investors to use when investing in Bitcoin, every investment needs a good and strategic planning as these and should be strictly adhered to or followed to be a success.

Investing ₦50,000 every two weeks and accumulating to ₦1 million in 40 weeks and within 1 year for 10 years is a very good plan of investment.

Planning and strictly following the plan before and when investing in Bitcoin is one of the major or important attributes a good investor must have. If an investment is being done on a proper grounds and following the rules of investment, that investment is likely to succeed and grow, but if otherwise, that is the starting of the failure of that investment.

That willingness to accept that anything can happen with your investment is what separates an investor from someone who's just chasing after profit, an investor understands that things might not work out the way they want it to but someone who's chasing profit will never consider the possibility of them losing their money and that makes them not very conscious about what they should invest with to the point that they don't keep their investment within what their discretionary income can handle but instead burn through their bills to buy bitcoin, ironically their profit mindedness is what ultimately leads to their loss.

Exactly the biggest difference is risk awareness and discipline. An investor understands that profit is never guaranteed and only commits money they can afford to leave in a situation there is a downturn.
The moment someone starts using essential funds or chasing losses because they expect quick returns, the strategy becomes dangerous.

Aggressive buying can work for some people depending on their financial situation, but it should be a personal choice, and not something beginners is expected to grow into. Because you’re making it sound like a compulsory requirement for long term Bitcoin investment.
Beginner can start with any amount he can comfortably sustain, and continue learning while accumulating Bitcoin. And there’s no such thing like “gain skills to increase level of aggression”. A simple and solid long term plan is what folks need to help them stay discipline and focused.

Also if a person invest in Bitcoin as said above, the person should or will be aware or informed that, the funds invested is likely to be loss as much as profit been expected.

Dude, did to even understand what Mr. Jay was saying? He didn't say that person must strictly follow exactly the strategy of investing with #50,000 every two weeks. Mr. Jay is just given a guideline that can guide any manner you want to invest. If you are Nigeria, you should know that it is not every person that can even have #50,000 as discretionary income. Some lots still struggle to #10,000 as discretionary income because of how hard the economy can be. And some sometime don't even see discretionary income after they have do all their expenses.

Imo, even with small discretionary income, person can still invest ongoingly by starting from somewhere and along the way they can figure out way to increase their discretionary income so they can increase their investments money. Even if a time comes when person don't have discretionary income, then the person can still  invest whenever they have discretionary income, that is how flexible investment works.

A person can be bullish about Bitcoin, believing that there is a lot of potential for long-term appreciation, but at the same time he has to accept that the outcome may not be as expected. That is why keeping money in Bitcoin with the mindset that I will get this money back is not the right framework. And in this case, those who are investing in Bitcoin in the hope of quick profit are basically in the wrong concept. As you said, I agree with you in this case. However, a serious investor also expects profit. The problem starts when someone assumes his expected profit in such a way that the price of Bitcoin is forced to follow his personal financial plan. He may think that this money will be needed for bills after three months, but in the meantime Bitcoin will definitely go up by 30% and trades in Bitcoin. But he understands that seeking profit according to his expectations in these 3 months will force him to chase profit when the price of Bitcoin does not increase at that time but continues to decrease. Therefore, in any case, investing in Bitcoin should be done according to your own financial situation.

And one other thing that many people failed to understand is that Thier Bitcoin portfolio must not be the same as that of Thier friends own or someone out there, I have seen a lot of investors who forced themselves to be aggressive in their bitcoin investment just because they saw other investors out their who are buying aggressively forgetting that his financial capacity isn't enough or can not be compared to those who are buying aggressively. There is nothing wrong if a person decide to set  a competition with friends especially in terms of investment like this but before that you have to consider your financial situation to see if you can do it and it won't affect your finance, because it seems that most people don't consider Thier financial status before responding to some certain situations.
