The most important thing needed to start your investment in bitcoin is having a discretionary income, then other things can be learnt while already holding or accumulating, putting your time into research before investing can make you bomb into people stories which may affect you either positively or negatively, things like discipline and emotional strength which can make you turn your investment into trading or gambling which isn't the initial reason for going into bitcoin investment

How can research make person bomb into another person story huh? Is the person Osama bin laden or what? Either you are lost or I am lost on that man, because I can still remember that this a topic about investment and not literature or war films and crimes.

Imo, research is good thing , but it can be done while person is already ongoingly investing. Any person that wants to research before they start investing are also in the process slimming down their chances of them ever starting to ongoingly invest. This is because everyday person will have something new to learn and learn and research about especially is place as security, picking the right wallet etc, till days continues to pass by.  And that is why it is good to take that bold step to buy.

Person don't need to start buying in large quantities while they are still beginner. The person can start to be buying in small quantities and then learn along the way. When it is done this way, the is a huge benefit, because the person is ongoingly increasing his bitcoin stash which is an advantage and is also learning so that their knowledge can be expanded, which is another advantage.

You are Actually lost here mate, you can’t come to understand that i meant while researching, you might go into stories of some people's experience while investing, it's better to ask for explanation if you don't get /understand a context.

Although the quantity of funds needed for a beginner to start buying is solely dependant on his discretionary income, but if his discretionary income isn't much he can start with what his/she has then the right strategy while accumulating and even learning and acquiring more knowledge overtime.

It is not that someone must know everything about bitcoin investment before they start investing in bitcoin. But it is important to make some research as a beginner in other to be able to understand how bitcoin works, the risk involved before getting in. So the fact that a beginner what to make some research doesn't mean they are wrong, it is only when they feel that they must know everything about bitcoin or become an expert before they start to invest that is when I believe they are wrong. A beginner can still be buying bitcoin and continue learning more about bitcoin investment, this doesn't mean that making some research before starting is wrong.

Why it is said that we don’t need to know much about bitcoin before investing is that, sometimes newbies get to carried away about wanting to know everything, whereas all they need to know is to have a discretionary income and then stick to the DCA strategy and they are good to go. Now they just need to be consistent and as they are accumulating they can be learning more about bitcoin.

And again wanting to know much will definitely bring delay in their investment, some might even end not not even investing again. DCA have made it so easy they you don’t even need to check the market, you don’t need to start contemplating if it the right time to invest.

Not everyone has the same experience knowledge and financial situation so what is enough for one person may not be enough for another. What is more important to me is whether the money you are investing is truly your discretionary income and whether you understand your own financial limitations. Because even if you have a lot of technical knowledge about Bitcoin if you invest money that you will need next month then that knowledge will not be of much use. On the other hand if someone does not know all the technical aspects but invests regularly according to their ability is patient and avoids unnecessary risks then their approach can be much more reasonable. So I would say learning and starting  there is no need to see the two as opposites of each other. If someone wants to start with a small amount and learn more about Bitcoin at the same time. Even if someone starts out with only superficial knowledge about wallets or other topics, but plans to learn more about them soon there's no need to put off starting just because they don't know everything. Ultimately to me knowledge is not just about knowing how Bitcoin works, but also understanding your own limitations and financial situation. So it's good to do research but you shouldn't get to a point where a beginner thinks they have to be an expert in everything before they can start Bitcoin.

There is nothing wrong in predicting the future price of bitcoin, people can speculate about the price of bitcoin but doesn't mean they can get it right, you could predict that the price will go high while it even dip more or it could still go high but not the price that was predicted.
To start investing in bitcoin doesn't require going through researches to get started as this will just be a delay tactics the time one should use to invest is what that will be use for research. People should invest if they have money they can let go available and learn more along there BTC accumulation process.
Just like you said there is nothing wrong in predicting the market. The problem start   when an investor investment decision is .dependent on those predictions. For example If someone start buying and selling of bitcoin with the intention to make quick profit because they believe they can predict the market next move then investment can turn to trading.

Long term investor should know the basics, invest only discretionary income and use strategy such as the DCA to accumulate bitcoin and hold for the long term growth. At last the difference is not whether you predict the market, it is how it affects your decision or how much your investment depends on those predictions.
Nobody can consistently say they know what bitcoin will do next, even though there is nothing wrong with someone predicting how bitcoin will perform but the problem starts when the person begins making every decisions based on those predictions.

For someone that is focused on long term, I think it is better if they understand the basics, invest only what they can leave for long time and use simple strategy like dollar cost averaging where they can be investing fixed amount of money like every week or month. If they keep buying and selling because they believe they know how to predict every move, then they are trading rather than investing.

Predicting the market is not the real problem at the end of the day, it is how you allow those predictions to control your decisions.

Except the person has supernatural powers that can take him or her to the future and back, volatility makes Bitcoin difficult to correctly predict so they just speculate and hope that their speculations are correct. Chasing wealth through speculating with Bitcoin is tough cause you'll be relying on chances.
Which is why people should hold it longer especially as Bitcoin has a historical prove of being progressive, which mean that the lomger it's being held, the more hopeful that one can make wealth through it.

If an investor predicts the price of Bitcoin, then it can definitely bring danger to them in the future. Whenever a person predicts the price and when he sees his prediction succeeding once or twice, he can become greedy and can be attracted from the investing mentality to the trading mentality and start trading. Prediction can make a person greedy and can lead a person astray.

It is not at all the right decision for an investor to make predictions and a person needs to stay away from all those activities which can attract an investor from the investing mentality to the trading mentality.

It all runs down to individual differences, there are people who can predict bitcoin and can still restrain themselves from getting into trading activities. Being a person who invest in bitcoin, there is nothing wrong in predicting bitcoin, so long you are investing with your discretionary income and you are being consistent about your investment, then it very okay.

I get your point, there are people who maybe after predicting it for several times and it works, they become addicted to that. Sometimes these kind of things can really change an investor to a trader, but then it a case of personal Intrest.

That is one way to look at it but that doesn't make it the right way, there is no guarantee that a person will move away from investing in bitcoin and become a trader simply because they were lucky enough to get their predictions right a few times, the chances of even getting the prediction right are even lower, unless you are talking about knowing what the price is today and trying to know what they price will be tomorrow, that barely qualifies as prediction.
Even the people who sometimes guess and guess right know they were just lucky, the smallest understanding of bitcoin will tell you wil tell you predicting it is impossible, you can guess and end up being right but that doesn't mean you were able to look through factors and determine the ones that will influence the price of bitcoin and then predict what that price will be in the future. Any bitcoin investor who is trying to predict the price of bitcoin should already know that it's only luck if they are able to predict right.

Someone who is mostly interested in buying bitcoin for the longest term wouldn’t really bother about the price of bitcoin, I think they would focus on having a discretionary money so they can consistently be buying on a regular basis through DCA without worrying about the price of bitcoin.

If we must be honest with ourselves, you and I cannot comfortably invest into what we don't understand or what we barely know how it operates. Before investing into bitcoin, I did my own researches about it and got some level of conviction that the project is real and valuable. I also ask anyone I bring into bitcoin to do their research and ensure they want to invest and not doing that because I asked them to.

The problem is when newbies want to know everything about it, both the markets, charts, understand fully the technical side and all that which is not feasible within a limited time. After getting the basic knowledge, you can start buying and continue learning more about bitcoin while you remain in the markets.

If we have such person maybe the problem of Nigeria would've been settled cause such person would go into the future to let us know if a bad government would win and how we can avoid it. Grin i know that off so back to the topic, soneone can say whatever to prove a point but Bitcoin is unpredictable, people just speculate the price and are either right or wrong not like they're sure of their speculation.

100% correct, long term investors only worry or focus should be on accumulation, how to generate more discretionary funds to buy more Bitcoin and keep holding for the future cause that's the only way the person can be hopeful of wealth not depending on chance by speculating prices.

People can sometimes get confused while doing research. But that doesn't mean that doing research before investing should be presented in such a way that research is the main problem. In my opinion, research is not a problem, but excessive research can often create an excuse to start. Also, the biggest problem can be making decisions without understanding your own financial situation.

As a new person, you don't need to be an expert before starting Bitcoin. But you should at least understand whether you really have any discretionary income, whether you have separate necessary expenses, and whether you are mentally prepared to hold on for a long time. If you start without these few things, you may get scared by the market fluctuations and be forced to sell.

The right thing to do is to make some research before starting to invest in bitcoin by so doing we can be able to have some knowledge that is essential before starting. This will save us from making a mistake that we can avoided .If a person doesn't have a knowledge about how bitcoin investment works, they will never have the boldness to start investing in bitcoin.
Absolutely, wanting to know everything before starting isn't a good idea because the person may not be able to start investing in bitcoin because bitcoin investment is broad . They just need to know the basics and then they can start investing in bitcoin and learn more as they continue with there investment.
