I don’t really see this as a big issue. You can easily check if a casino has live support, it’s usually visible right there on the site. From that alone, you can already decide if it’s worth continuing to play or not. Most of the casinos I use have live support anyway, so I don’t see why I’d choose one that doesn’t.

Interesting question, but isn't the quality of support more important than its availability around the clock? I've been lucky and never had to contact support, but I would assume that if it's open 24/7 and there are always available operators to answer, it's likely outsourcing to countries with cheap labor. I could be wrong, but there will be a correlation with quality.
By the way, lately it's been impossible to get a response from live support, chat bots answer you everywhere, and getting a response from a real person is apparently completely impossible (judging by one of the online games).

It's preferable to have 24/7, but it's not at the top of my list. Features, reputation, and fairness are the top preferences. If the casino has zero complaints but does not offer 24/7 support, and they are far better than other casinos at addressing complaints, then I will have no issue as long as they maintain that reputation.
It's how they address issues and how fair they are to their players that matter.

I don't think or can even remembered if I have ever gone through a serious situation that requires customers care or support team, so I don't really know. But what I can remember properly is when I restricted my account for a limited time so that I can focus on something more important, and with the casino platform which I used, the customer service was fast and reliable so I didn't have any issues with that.
But to be honest, a reputable casino need an active customer service. Nothing beats an active customer service with a a fast transaction on a casino.

As much as possible, I like to play in a casino where customer support is 24/7.  This will ensure us that the platform will entertain us with our concerns immediately.  I can play on the casino with limited-hour customer support as long as it is reputable, but if I have to choose from two with the same level of reputation, I'll take the one that offers 24/7 customer support.

I don't think any casino wants to leave a customer alone with problems, because suddenly they can't make a large deposit and will turn to competitors who have customer support and will help resolve these issues politely and quickly. Most users want to feel comfortable and be able to ask for anything they need at any time. Well, I don't actually need 24/7 active support, nobody plays for that long, but what I actually need is a responsive customer support, not any bots or automated replies or whatsoever.
One of the most frustrating things is waiting for something, and I certainly don;t like the fact that some casinos are sooooo slow when it comes to customer support. It spoils the whole fun. I would probably wait a day or two to sort out my dispute. But in some cases, I have seen users were waiting for a week for an update and still no answer. That's just frustrating as hell.
