lmfao  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Just informed the create of BITOK via private message that if he does not return funds to investors I will report him to the SEC. No response- Then the SEC is coming for him and soon he’ll get locked up.

Wow, I haven't been here in a while and.... what a dumpster fire this is now! I'm sorry, guys. You've been rug-pulled.

What a sad thing. I was actually super excited about this project. It had a ton of potential. It just shows how amateur these guys were. They could've really made this into something and made a shitload of money. But they gladly threw away the baby with the bathwater for peanuts. Maybe $10k is a lot of money for them.

I abandoned the project when I realized Elvis and Tongpu were the same person. You just had to do some very superficial digging to figure this out. The timing, the Harry Potter references.... man, dead give away. May this be a lesson for the ones who got scammed: DYOR.

Also, if you installed their wallet or miner, I would suggest you to make sure there were no backdoors installed in your computer. I wouldn't trust any of this code. Throw this away.

yeah haha ive watching all this drama unfold for the past week, it's not fun watching the rest of them argue

they keep saying they want to restart the project but im still waiting for them to do so. instead of arguing with each other lets rebuild the project from last block when the seed nodes went offline or either from block 0

and keeping the atom part of it alive also, because, i don't know, maybe there is a hidden secret to this project, rather than it being just a scam attempt, maybe there is something to this

hazzardev and bitoktycoon has offered to restart the project, so i hope you can get this rebooted within the week or atleast within this month.

We should rename the project 'bitokoin' (:

we must push forward. this was the last satoshi's, the last bitcoin protocol version. we must continue to unlock it's secrets

there should be nothing holding us back from creating the new community forked version of bitokoin

the old bitcoin, the 2010 is the original

and the one that got a away with everything that is the false blockchain which now we know as btc bitcoin

those who attack the project here are meaningless

if we continue, we continue

don't let them fool us about and call us nasty names

there's no time for arguments

what fits best shall continue

and what is the truth, display those evidence here of any foul play then we fix them

I’m working on my fork right now. What commit are we going back to? Is this going to be pre ATOM?

i think maybe we should keep the atom alive, elvis probably left some codes hidden away, and the atom was probably some sort of a hint of the next development step for bitok

im not quite to sure on how to read codes, but it's entirely upto you to decide wheter it is a good idea to keep the atom or not. if you could look at the whole bitok code, analyze it and get an understanding of it, maybe then you'll get a sense of an idea if its a problem to keep it or not

but my guess is to keep it intact maybe because there could be some secrets hidden within the code

and thank you for leading the way forwards to continue the fork and the future developments of bitok

i appreciate it

(:

Yeah no problem. You can follow my work here: https://github.com/TycoonCoder/bitok-reborn (By the way I’m looking to someone else to make a new website) The only actual change I’ve made is from my pull request to the original it adds miner compatibility for ARM Linux devices like the raspberry pi. Also I need a few people willing to provide seed nodes.

would i be able to provide seed node with a full node wallet? or is it more complicated than that?

and thanks ill keep an eye on youre work

So here’s where things get tricky. As this project is intended to stay true to the original vision of bitcoin, it uses a singular IRC server for initial peer discovery instead of seed nodes. This makes it slightly more centralized, and if the IRC server goes down, no new nodes can join until it goes back online. The chain would still function with the already existing peers, but new ones would not be able to join. So we as a community now need to make a decision. Do we want to stay with IRC servers (less safe, but closer to the original), or do we want to move to seed nodes (much safer, but now how original bitcoin worked). Please share your thoughts.

im not an expert on this but

i think keeping everything original as bitcoin as possible is the best bet, maybe there will be more solution to these current issues in the future to fix and decentralize bitok further

but lets see what other people say about keeping the original or getting rid of the original

That's great, I'm happy to have someone develop this. I think that's the spirit of the community, and you should be encouraged to do more.

It needs to move away from IRC but that involves deep understanding of how the p2p protocol in bitcoin core works and it is a fundamental upgrade. I think the reason satoshi never implimented p2p logic was because he was still prototyping before leaving but he had proven the hard part: Consensus.

Stop outsourcing your brain to AI tools, lol.

Bitcoin deprecated IRC peer discovery ages ago, and Bitok has it disabled by default too.
It uses DNS seeds now. So all you need to do is add your own seeds, or just use addnode when you start it.

Hi! Life's good, mostly because I stopped feeding $200/month into a bitok mining pool servers, haha
