Rare earths arent rare so its a confusing topic.  What is required is cheap labor and ability to mine in gigantic amounts easily and that might not be true of many countries.
   China has focused on this pivotal area for decades through many prior leaders to this one so its a long term standing policy for them to use it as leverage in global trade and other sectors.   Its messy as I understand it and USA is not likely to mine quite as cheaply even if similar reserves were located in a clear open space.

The importance of rare earth minerals is extremely overrated. I'm not saying that rare earth minerals aren't important, but their importance has been overrated by the media and some "analysts". It's weird how everyone on the mainstream media started talking about rare earth minerals in the last 3 years. Nobody cared about rare earth minerals before 2022. Iran doesn't have a big amount of rare earth minerals. Just don't get into any conspiracy theory. The Iranian regime must be dethroned mostly because of geopolitical reasons, not because of resources or economical reasons.

Did you actually say the USA should attack Iran and take it over? The USA needed oil, and they attacked Venezuela, and I think you know it very well. Trump started threatening other countries as if he would take over most of the world. If they need something from another country and that country is not strong with weapons, the USA will attack that country and loot everything. The USA is not attacking China because it knows the strength of China. Attacking China will backfire. They are not doing it against Russia as well for the same reason.

It is strange to hear comments that the US didn't invade Venezuela for its economic benefits. There might be other reasons for the toppling of Nicolás Maduro, but the country's oil reserve is one of the cardinal reasons. Yes, the US wants to whittle down Russia and China's influence in the Western Hemisphere, yet the US would benefit largely from Venezuela's resources.

I doubt if the US is targeting any resources in Iran. The US wants Israel to become a superpower in the Middle East, and Iran is a threat to that ambition. Removing the Islamic governemnt in Iran will give the US full control over that region.

Not really, if you visit most African countries you will find out that they are really suffering compared to a wide range of countries in the western world meanwhile they own the raw materials, some countries have signed contracts with nations not to use their own resources,

Iran is similar to many religious countries that use it to suppress the population or make them conform to government demands while their rulers live the life of luxury. The people have been trampled on for decades now and unfortunately the government have built an apparatus to strangle the average person who might disagree with their leadership. Many other governments that think they can quell uprisings have been overthrown in recent history, it just takes a few sparks or the right people to tumble before it all falls apart. Currently the religious gangs are killing many innocent people and they will eventually be held accountable, communication is difficult because the internet and phone networks are cut off - it is effective at censoring the riots or stopping gatherings, but it also destroys any remnants of the economy in the process - making the situation even more likely to implode.

Probably you are right. Even though they are the largest producer of oil, that does not mean they do not need oil. As Trump already said, they will sell the oil and take back what they have invested before. They will make more money selling the oils that they will seize from Venezuela. Also, the reason you mentioned make some sense. USA do not want their enemy countries to have anything at a cheap price.

Also, I have heard that Greenland has rare earth minerals which is not reported officially. Most of the Greenlands land is intact and they do have explosive ureniums as well. So, this is one of the reason Trump want to takeover Greenland.

Doesn't matter if it's Venezuela, Greenland, Iran or wherever else that they want to invade next. There will come a time, where USA will not have any place they can abuse anymore and when that happens, the excessive spending that they have will make them run out of options.
