Can you give some real examples? - AI developed in China without using American technology? - AI developed in China that surpasses AI from OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, and Google Gemini?
Let's not forget about China's electric vehicles. And doesn't China has its own independent AI chatbot called "DeepSeek"? Not to mention, ByteDance (TikTok's parent company) launched a revolutionary AI-based video generator (called SeaDance 2.0) which "mimics" movie actors in real life (google it and see for yourself). Another Chinese "breakthrough". I'd say China is advancing at a very fast pace. While the US is struggling to solve its own domestic issues, China is strengthening alliances and increasing its technological superiority behind the scenes. Before you know it, China will take over the world with Russia at its side. We've been warned...

And just how advance China is in terms of robot and AI: I like how the US analyst put it as if they are no concern for them. Regardless though, we already know that this is the future, gonna be a battle not just for military force or actions. The new frontier has shifted to AI and robotics and I think China is a foot hold on it right now. And unless US recognized it, they are not going to be ahead in this race as obviously China is miles already and the US has a lot of catching up to do. Kung-Fu Robots? 👀 My debate was always China is NOT going to engage against the United States in a direct military conflict because if its dying/aging population. That latest development in their Robotics/AI research could solve that, AND if they could produce a very large robot army, then I'll probably change my viewpoint. Although, instead of war, Robots/AI would be better used for Deep Space Exploration/Deep Under Sea Exploration, no?

And despite the great tech advancement in China, it is still facing problems with both factors combined; Electronic chips and capital. While private ِchineese investors don't have access to big financement to compete with american companies, the problem with electronic chips won't reach an end as long Taiwan is still in disagreement with Beijing.

To be fair, China still lags behind the United States in most areas. But there is no denying that they are developing faster and more strongly than any other country. With such a growth rate, they will sooner or later catch up with the United States if the United States does not accelerate its own growth rate. In my opinion, the United States needs more solutions than just using trade wars and restricting technology exports to contain this country.

The United States used to face challenges with every way possible to break down its competitors. In addition to financement issues, China is facing challenges with the USA that are not directly related to artificial intelligences. Limiting access to micro chips and supporting Taiwan against China to influence TSMC products sold to China, are the weapon used by USA to stay at top countries in term of high tech and AI.

I guess that's why China is deeply interested in "conquering" (invading) Taiwan. So it can get the world's biggest manufacturer of microprocessors for its own convenience. Only then, China will be able to achieve true technological superiority. Either way, I have read that China is developing its own chips with Huawei. Not as powerful as US counterparts, but better something than nothing. Unlike the US, China has one of the largest reserves of rare Earth metals. It can use that as "leverage" to get what it wants. We've seen how China used this "card" previously when Trump imposed additional tariffs in "Liberation Day". China has all the cards to win. It's even helping Russia rise from the ground up. The US made this monster, and now it must learn to live with it. We'll see what happens in the future.

Only then, China will be able to achieve true technological superiority. As we are talking about China taking over the world, it's worth mentioning that China has been deeply interested to annex Taiwan (not conquering) as an extension to its lands (note that Taiwan and China are one people speacking the same language but Taiwan separated as an autonomous region after the end of the civil war 1949) for other major reasons; to rule all Chinese speakers, dismantling American alliances in the south chineese sea region since the USA entered in cooperation with Taiwan to fight the Maoism in China during cold world against URSS, expanding the range of nuclear submarines because Taiwan represent an obstacle as an ennemy (USA) ally, and finally controlling the whole semiconductor market because Taiwanese technology is not just benefecial for China to improve its productions but to control the global technology market (TSMC monopoles more than 60% of the global semiconductor market).

The way you have written is not convincing at all and you don't have to praise the US when they are lagging behind gradually. China has overtaken the United States in terms of technology and the US can not even stand a fight with China. The United States is living in the past when China is living in the future and we don't have to hate the advancement of the China technology because they have the basic raw materials to produce good chips and build technology the US architects may have not seen before. I love the both countries and we don't have to come out writing in support of the US when it is true that China is good at what they do. Elon is busy trying to build humanoid robots when China have gotten their advanced robots in place due to their advancement in technology and good experts.

The deepseek one does use openAI the opensource version and then improved on that, which means USA had something to do with it, and China didn't had to spend billions upon billions to reach that level, they had to use an opensource that was designed to help the world start at a base level instead of from nothing. It's still great that they used it because the world needs more competition, but they did not started from zero. Same goes for BYD and others, tesla had always been an open source product and all the patents were available showing the systems. Hence, China, even though they did exactly what I think they should, did not started from zero on anything they ever did.
