If you pick Debian, I would recommend following an upgrade guide to get it to Debian 13.

Do you think Debian or Ubuntu is better? Technically speaking, they're the same thing, it makes little difference, but maybe your advice can help me make the best choice.

I, personally, prefer Debian for servers, Ubuntu for actual computers.

I don't think offering a service for free is for granted, so putting a donation address where people that use your service support it cannot be like begging.
I have supported services I used in the past, just because as a user, seems fair to help the maintainer to continue offering the service.

Now you are being too humble mate! Just think of it like this, "The money is for the tool, so that you can continue this project, improve it polish it, we aren't giving the money to you but towards your project".

So just do as fillippone says, cause he is right. Put up a donation address for gods sake! And do me a favor and send me your BTC address please! I mean it, I'm being serious..

You are right my friends, maybe it is because of what my parents taught me that I think differently, My father always told me that money should be earned, not asked for. That's why I think so! But I'll do as you suggested, I'll put a donation address on the site, and in the meantime I'm getting ready to get a VPS.

That's totally fine. I do understand where this is coming from..so I feel you my friend. I have similar belief, I don't like owing anyone. It feels as if I have a stone on my chest, a big burden, that's why whenever I took any loans (both offline or online), I don't wait for the repayment date to come. As soon as I manage money, I send them right away.

Anyway, in the meantime, add a donation address to the OP also. Remember BTT is filled with generous, supportive users. Someone might gift you one years' worth of VPS, you never know!

Okay, my friend, I'll take your advice and set up a Bitcoin address for donations. I saw how close-knit this community was, but I didn't expect it to be so generous.
I'll do it soon anyway and put it on the site and in the initial post too. You know I'm a little ashamed to take this step

Btw, since every other dev is also implementing it, why not add a dedicated section for signature banned users?  
This can either be added into the quick menu (the one that shows by clicking the star), or the main website!
You already have a lot of stats on your tool, and adding this would be a nice addition imo. Shouldn't be hard, I presume.

It’s not quite like bpip, but let’s say it comes very close.
Obviously, bpip is much more comprehensive and stable.

May I ask which AI can do this sort of work in a couple of hours? Just for my own information.

I like to use AI with my IDE (anthropic + vscode, or antigravity ide), so i can see the code and accept/reject it. But even in the chat it can generate the  code for a working product if you can specify everything you need properly.

I do confirm.
For some serious project I use IDE+AI, for some simpler one, I get everything done in the AI app (Claude code, or codex).
These tools are really powerful. Creativity is your only limit. And token, of course.
