You have just spoken my mind. Calling unusual nicknames can cause problem between people and that can lead to a serious fight or quarrel. So if you call once and the people reject it you have to leave them. But it is better to abbreviate the full name of the gambler as Nickname instead of the game name.

If anyone is going to address a fellow gambler by any of the nicknames mentioned so far, or any others they come up with themselves, they should first make sure that there is a close and understanding relationship between them and the other gambler. They may be friends, partners, or have any other relationship that brings them close. There should be mutual understanding and a sense of humour to spice everything up. From the countenance and body language of every gambler you address by a nickname, you can tell whether they love being called that or not. If they do not like it, you should drop the nickname immediately for peace to reign.

I agree. Be natural, don't force nicknames. Some nicknames may be funny and harmless among close friends. But others may be hurtful to others. Depending on the community in the gambling industry. If they look uncomfortable or they want you to stop then it's best if you respect their wishes right away. It's much more important to maintain respect than to have a nifty nickname.

Today you will discover people gambling with all manner of things both living and nonliving things can be used for gambling as long as they are going to stake their money on the outcome for that particular thing, even though using animals like pets in gambling is somewhat ridiculous, people can choose to stylishly call them different kinds of names including the gamblers who consider playing these games in gambling.

As long as their actions are not being disrespectful to any community ot group of people, then it is fine and also they should keep the discussion or the argument within themselves not to go on public because even the words we use on personal maynot be appropriate in public places.

I don't understand much about it, but maybe it's useful for remembering where you are registered even if some of my intelligent and internet expert friends told me that it's not very secure (and i don't understand why)

Here's my quick idea for this.
Slot players = Crankers (cranking that slot machine)
Roulette players = Spinners ('cause well, some of those things spin)
Blackjack players = Jackets (for no specific reason?)
Dice players = 6 siders ('cause a dice has 6 sides?) or Rollers (roll the dice)
Pokers = Yeah, Pokes is a good choice for this one.
Sports Bettors = Managers?
E-Sports Bettors = Keyboards 

You've got some good ideas here. For dice players, I would prefer Rollers because the name sounds fancy   

Jack or jackers sound more appropriate for blackjack players. I can't stop thinking about my old school jacket, I never like putting it on. Maybe that's why I am not comfortable with that idea.

I think it depends on the place where you are telling your joke. We are discussing nicknames that can be used he on bitcointalk, as far as understand, and I can't imagine any poker player offended by being called "a poke" or a slot player because he was "a slotter". Of course if you use those nicknames in some country with unknown(to you) culture, you might get in trouble. But we are talking about it, we are talking about only this forum.

I don't think their is any need for all of this, even though many will still find it necessary but I really don't see any need for that. The normal names for each and every one of them is just ok by me. However, what's should be more mportant to us as gamblers is just for us to gamble responsible, we shouldn't cross banderies no matter what,  maybe focusing more on a responsible gambling life style should be what we should be more concerned of because that's the most important thing.

Nickname had caused problem in my community so we should know whom to call the nickname because some people will not take it likely with you. Though if it is here, you can use the game the person is playing frequently to call the person since we are all anonymous. Even at that, try to observe the reaction of the person and if the respond is not bad, it is okay but if is it not leave him or her.

Yes, that's the point, discussing this problem I was reminded of an incident experienced by someone in my neighborhood, he was a gambler and when we gathered in a place where in the group there were only two gamblers, namely me and that person, the rest were people (old people) who had never known gambling at all, then someone came (my friend who also likes to gamble) and suddenly he threw a word to my friend who was next to me like this "hey real gambler" loudly and with a little smile, suddenly my friend's expression changed, I'm sure he was embarrassed because the people there also heard it clearly, I understand that it was just a joke but joking in the wrong situation can trigger problems.
