Let me start by saying ; leadership is a big task and it not something that should be handled with less care rather it is something you handle with the whole of your heart . Because leadership itself requires sacrifice .
A lot of people in Nigeria have this mindset that a young guy is to young to
Handle the affairs of the country . Why is it so ? Is it a must that you must be old before you can become a president of Nigeria.
Pls if you have your own views you can drop them below .

I believe that is what we all think in this country, we have young people who want the best for the country, but what should we do? Look at the man we chose as our president, I don’t even believe that was his real age, how could a man who has fallen down on his own be 73 years old? We have seen many people at his age who are not falling down like him. You can see that all of these politicians wants their children, who did not study in this country, to rule us one day.

I believe we are the only country with that attitudes, if you are not old enough, you cannot become president, look at other African countries, their presidents are very young, and when you have young leadership, they will understand what the youths are going through, but all of these people will never understand what is going on, all they can say is that the youth are very lazy and do not want to work.

If all things been equal is there any reason to think twice the capabilities of a 40years of age to be a president of a country, even in the world globally 40 years is never under age to be considered not qualified except such country constitution did not create room of feature such age mean while no country constitution can limit such age in occupying any position of any kind because it's an age of creativity and full productivity, it only seem impossible in Nigeria even when the constitution support the age due to lack of functionality of the law and constitution been bias and people on seat creating policy's that don't allow the youths to strive or survive even when they managed to succeed will be eliminated by the same people through all means using judicial system and otherwise, most time will even short up the youth using the arm force never to contest for those kind of position apart from such 18 years can be a president provided he have what to offer and qualify in his party and can be supported by the masses.

What is 40 years? Hmmmm let me start by saying "age is just a number" just as my people used to say. We are looking for compatibility, as long as the person is compatible, we will accept him regardless of age. We need a person that will match our standards and can meet our requirements. We need someone who is knowledgeable, skillful, strong, healthy, loyal, kind, generous and innovative. Someone that will derive us to the land of promise, turn our dreams into reality. We are not looking for a person that will feel superior and make his citizens inferior.

We need leaders that will collaborate with the citizens in order to make our country a joyful home, other countries dream, and the home of peace and harmony and we will be living in unity as one big family.

Constitutionally, if you are 18 years of age you are entitled to rule this country if you have the opportunity. Leadership is not about age , and maturity is in the heart and the ability to do things in the right way. We are being ruled in Nigeria by old men and some are even older than the country but yet, their is no wisdom in their rulership.
There is an adage that says, the wisdom of king Solomon has no relationship with the old age of Methuselah, which means good leadership is about leading with wisdom rather than age.

A man of 40 years is not a child and people of this age is filled strength and bravity, if opportunity is given to them I believe they will do better these old men.

If you trace history, during the military era, most of the military president were young men and even some were less than 40 years of age when they ruled this country Nigeria, and honestly they ruled better than these old presidents.

Leadership is not by age rather, it is the maturity of the mind and the ability to make informed decision and carry out leadership obligations effectively. Historically, we have seen people who became leaders of their country at their younger age and they did very well.
In Nigeria, this democratic rule is being dominated by old leaders, it is not a constitutional right, but I call it a trend, and the trend can change any moment.
Nigeria has vibrant young people who can pilot the affairs of this country very well if the opportunity is being given to them. Naturally, as you grow old, your sense of reasoning , mental alertness, and physical activeness tends to slow dow, and I believe the young people within the age of 40 years will do better if the opportunity is given to them.

For someone to be qualified to become a leader isn’t by age but by the qualities the person possess. If the person possesses all the qualities of a good leader, then his good to go to lead. But in our country today, they want only the old people to lead because they feel they are more experienced, one can be old and still not have good quality of a leader, emphasis on good qualities.
Age 40 is a very perfect age for any body to rule a nation in as much as you possess good qualities to lead and also much better you’re young because you’re still strong and active.

Your current President does he posses the quality of a good leader? The quality of a good leader no longer imply in Nigeria. If you want to be a leader in Nigeria, have the wealth and influence to gain supporters. Bribe them and each and everyone will support you even if you are the worst person on earth. No one care if you are selfless, humble, loyal and God fearing. What the people wants is someone that will fill their pickets with peanuts. Wealth and influence is the quality of a good leader now not age and good characteristics.

Don’t quote me wrong, I gave that response base on the topic which says can a guy of 40 years become a president. My answer was base on that fact and not what it takes to become a president in Nigeria. We all know in Nigeria you just need to have money and influence to buy support from people and you are good to go.
