SENT just reminded me why people still farm airdrops in 2026

it’s really up to you if you’ll participate in these events just bear in mind that this instance doesn’t happen very often and it only happens when you’re lucky and you might just get tired of farming airdrops for it to not bear anything

It’s just kind of difficult to get an airdrop that’s going to pay well right now, most of the airdrops which you will see now do end up to be rubbish. I have participated in different airdrops in the past, but the amount that I was making doesn’t even worth the stress, sometimes you will participate in airdrops and they will turn out to be scam. I don’t always encourage people to participate in airdrops now, the time that you going to waste in doing that, just get something useful doing.

A lot of Web3 folks got the SENT airdrop yesterday. When I woke up, Twitter was full of people celebrating the Sentient drop. I even saw a newbie saying she got into Web3 with $0 and is now over $500 richer thanks to the airdrop.

Honestly, I’d stopped participating in airdrops, but this one changed my mind. As an OG, I felt a bit left out for not qualifying. Anyway, seeing the post-TGE activity on exchanges calmed my nerves. I still have a chance to farm some rewards, and I’ll be doing just that.

One successful airdrop doesn't mean that the airdrop field is always successful. It's a trend that has started and ended but still few folks are making the benefit from the old fashioned trend.

Near in the future there was Dogs airdrop celebrations because it was successful at some extent.

Most airdrops now turns out to be a scam. We have passed the era when people were still making some reasonable amount of money from airdrops, but right now if you participating in airdrops, it’s just like you wasting your time, because you will find it so difficult to make any reasonable amount of money. If you participating in airdrops now, most of those airdrops will turn out to be scam, and the ones that decide to pay, people will make just little amount of money from it, the amount that sometimes you won’t even be able to sell.

The only reason they turn to scam is greed. Everyone who participates in these airdrops plans to make a quick profit from these projects and doesn't care much about the project's development or future. Therefore, the developers of these projects do the same, deceiving investors by promising huge profits, and if these profits materialize, they will receive a share of them. 

Very true, airdrop farmers couldn't give a damn about the project itself, all they want is to earn their tokens, wait til the value goes up then sell them quickly.

Receiving an airdrop and celebrating it are all okay but have you encashed it, I mean have you converted your airdrop coins to ETH or BTC or USDT? Moreover, that coin/token is already listed? On conversion, what you get would be the exact success for participants. I just checked on coinmarketcap and I managed to find a token namely 'sent' but not sure that is this is the token you are referring here because these days coinmarketcap and coingecko are showing up different coins for a same name.

When people were fed up against airdrops due to hundreds of fake and scammy coins and tokens, one profitable airdrop may stir up entire industry and millions of crypto followers. I smell same here. Honestly I will not change my mind to check airdrops anymore, I am not ready to get deceived by another well planned scam any more.
