What differentiate a quality post from a quack one ?

Hi am new to Bitcointalk, I just started posting threads, and any board and enter to post I try reading the rules first, and what I see first is mostly  "only quality post are allowed here ", but as a beginner I can't differentiate between a quality post and a quack or non quality pos, so what are the things that differentiate a quality post from a quack post ?

Quality post means a post where others will get new information or benefit from your post. And when you discuss a topic, there will only be topics related to that topic. Do not make any comments there that are not related to that topic.

If you want an example, I would say that where there is a discussion about mangoes, discuss mangoes. When you discuss apples there, it will be off-topic and that will be spamming. And you will definitely understand the rest of the issues when you review other people's posts.

Know this first critics is inevitable, as a newbie you are going to make mistakes even after reading the rules ( but is normal ) and reading the rules will help you reduce the mistakes you will make with time , first thing that will help you in becoming a quality poster is the ability to research and learn from it too , the knowledge is already at there is left for you to go and find it , and having the knowledge will help you in your becoming a quality poster journey .

Another thing is that no matter how lengthy your post how , either short or long always make sure is impactful one way or the other and those that go through would be impacted also, all you have to do now is be active go through some quality post ( post that’s impactful and had received good amount of merits too) .

Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn. Maybe MarrywithBTC came back after spending one year of learning silently and now he can teach us and other newbies about how to write well or he just realized that now it is easily to get merit than 1 year ago.

About one week since the topic creation, no merit so it is like the topic is not interested with many readers.

You measure what is quality by the number of merits the post got? And, writing I believe is a skill. There are good writers who know what they are doing when it comes to writing, they don't need to be in this forum for years to know how to arrange their ideas to make it easy to understand. We should encourage people who give value to the forum as long as the post isn't misleading, it is not always about merit hunting.

I think that the number of shared merits is not the best criterion for evaluating the quality of a post.
Some forum sections have fewer active members, and accordingly fewer shared merits, but this does not mean that the posts are of lower quality.
Yes, writing is a skill, but it also requires some knowledge of the subject.

Lolz, sure you couldn't differentiate between a quality post and a non quality one but you didn't bother to ask if it was necessary to start your posting by applying for a review campaign. I mean if you knew what went down in review campaigns, I'm sure you could tell apart a quality post form the other, right?

A quality post should be one that is centered on the topic and discussion of the thread, but most individuals now most especially newbies aren’t guided and I struggle to understand if they really goes to beginners and help to understand and read things about the forum because that is the right place they should get started, and going to their various local board communities and get this information.

Quality post should be be one that have a meaning to the discussion of a particular thread, and mostly now I see some post and I’m shocked by the level of writing, sometimes you don’t even understand the statement they’re making or their choice of words, people should learn most especially newbies, sometimes I read some post I don’t understand anything it seems like my brain is being formatted, some post are just way too off topic.

And I don’t think we can classify any post that is merited as a quality post because not every post that is merited this days are quality post.

Hence why many say it has some level of objectivity.

A quality post must contain 43% vowels and  59% consonants, phrases must be above 9 words of a minimum 5 letters and at least 7 words if above 7 letters, you need to have at least 46 words in your post and one image is equal to 2.5Pi3 words for every 100 square pixels.

This is the basis, once you have the structure, you need to go and read what you have written so far.....oh shit.....

Thanks for providing such helpful link , funny how I have not came across that post since my years of being in this forum . I have actually learnt something today , which nice ( lol so what’s a thread with quality Replies called ) .

A lot of newbies even old members can learn from this thread , this is one of the most common question asked here in this forum (how can one be a quality poster ) . Even asked myself same question during my newbie ear but I didn’t post it here though .

One of thing that will also help being a quality poster is the zeal to keep researching, and acquiring more information that will help you grow more .

Quality as they said concerns to how helpful a post could be.
A post most not have to be written long or even filled with graphics and a images as those images may not fully demonstrate what people may understand. Even a simple words as "Yes" or "Good" can be seen as quality if they are being used or expressed at the right place. I wonder why people kills themselves generating all manners of post just to please people that are talking about quality post. Being plains and simple in your post can actually defines how quality it is than having a wall of text.

Forum allows as many accounts as they want and people use some of their throwaway accounts to post threads and wrote the reply beforehand and post it as first reply that increases the chance of getting merits or whatever reason. People who operate many will often lose the track of their stories with respective accounts.

great question to be fair a quality post is basically something that adds value. like you are sharing real info asking a clear question or giving an opinion with reasons which is great. not just spamming nice post or random one liners.think of it like this if someone reads your post and actually learns something or can reply properly you are doing it right. just take your time stay on topic and dont just post for the sake of posting. You will be great

Are you always like this, ruining just everything you touch or is made known to you. This was a trade secret for ranked users and you just let the cat out the bag. You wouldn’t do well in a secret cult!
Because of you, everyone now knows the formula for a quality posts and should they apply it just right in the proportion you’ve given, we might have to fine reasons to raise the stakes and that wouldn’t be very appealing to old timers you know, a lot of work to be done in crafting another formula.

basically dont post rubbish add post that and informative and help people use the form on different issues or even experience that can help. post information about subject that allow people to learn or share their own opinions. quality means some thing different to everyone what you find a quality post some one might thins isnt so just post what you need to but make the post as best as you can to support others
