I believe that gambling can kill a person silently. Gambling addiction can take a very terrible form in a person's life. Gambling addiction can easily destroy everything we have arranged in an instant. Gambling addiction destroys not only the gambler but also a beautifully arranged family. Very few people who have fallen prey to gambling addiction have been able to completely free themselves from the addiction. It is very important to be aware while gambling, as a result we can save our lives from terrible destruction. Gambling is only good for entertainment, choosing gambling to earn money is very risky.
Yeah for real, gambling addiction is one of those things that people dont use to take serious until it is already deep.. It use to start small, just like vibes trying your luck, then before you know it, it will start affecting money, mindset, and sometimes even relationships.. True, once it turns from entertainment to i need to win, then there is a problem, that is were the problem starts.. Not everyone gets out of it easily too, so being aware from the start matters…

Gambling can't kill people silently, it's the people that enable the killing. As a person that is gambling, you know that you are not winning, when you are suppose be quit and stop gambling, they don't instead they try to force the gambling. By the time they have wasted all their time and effort on gambling and it doesn't work, that's when they start to look for a way to get back some money they have loss and the get addicted to gambling, they don't make money and don't know no to quit. Some of them goes into bet gambling, some borrow money from short term loan intro thinking that if they make the money later, they can pay the money but instead they don't make anything and all the debt comes their own. It's because of this debts that result into taking their life. A student from one university once killed himself because he used money for school fee and accommodation to bet and after losing the money, he committed suicide because he can't stand his parent.

The problem that gamblers sometimes face is when they don't admit that they are addicted and try to come up with a lot of excuses so that they are considered an ordinary player and not an addict. Addiction is something that is quite dangerous but on the one hand, self-awareness when we gamble is something that must be considered here because most of us don't even want to be considered an addict because of the stigma of gambling which is always seen as bad so that when we admit that we are gambling addicts, we will be seen as much worse by some people maybe even the closest people. This is why we have to be really ready with the mentality we have because one wrong move and we are in the wrong place. We also underestimate and think gambling is not a problem and that's why there are so many gamblers who are trapped just because they underestimate gambling when if they want to be aware from the start the worst possibilities such as addiction can be avoided.

Yes, gambling addiction could be a silent killer if the addicted person chose to keep it secret from everyone, then they might start making impulsive decision and since there's no one to help them out from those evil thought they might just decide to do it without even considering the disadvantage. Personally i like discussing my gambling experiment with people around me so that if there's anything I need to know they will tell me, because when you're doing something within yourself you can easily make the wrong decision that might result something negative.

It is usually said that a problem shared is a problem solved, that’s why it isn’t good to keep most vital things to yourself that if not well addressed may cause problems. Most people have been battling in silence with their gambling addiction, refusing to voice out their pains.Anyways I wouldn’t blame anyone that have refused to voice out despite the pain they’re feeling because literally everyone is battling with their own demon.Whichever way I!m on the opinion of venting your pain/challenge because a solution might from it.

It's like a slowly growing tumor or some other malignant disease. But we mustn't forget that this silent killer is the person themselves. They condemn themselves to suffering and financial loss. And at the root of it all are ideas that are insane, yet hold a significant place in their worldview. One such idea, for example, is the desire to get rich through casinos. They believe it's possible and slowly spiral toward financial disaster.
I totally agreed with you, due to the kind of mindset they have towards gambling has done more of harm than good in their lives, and yet, some of them doesn't want to learn from their errors, which they believed that they will surely get rich through gambling and this has given the that misconceptions to see gambling in a view that just matters to them but that will also slowly kill them and before they will realize their mistakes, its already late. That is why people are to prevent it as early as possible Gambling addiction is indeed a silent killer in the sense that it does not ruin a man or woman in a single day, it just gradually chews him/her up in terms of finances, psychological well-being, and relationships. I concur that attitude is critical. Once a person is convinced that gambling can be a sure means to become rich, they overlook the losses and pursue unrealistic goals. This misconception continues to put them in a circle of hopes and disappointments. Worse still is the unwillingness to learn out of the mistakes. This is to be brought to mind at a tender age when they are still in control or else it might be too late before they know it.

Yeah, addiction really kills and if one is not careful or mindful, it will totally destroy their lives even harm their finances. But they can prevent this from happening, if they're willing to do the necessary adjustments to help and guide to the right path, which will protect them from facing the consequences of recklessly gambling, but will keep them to sustain to the proper way of gambling, which has been their goal from the onset.

People react to gambling addiction differently, and when someone is addicted up to the point where they will get depressed, it shows that they have a clue to what's really going on in their life, not like other addicts who have yet to accept it, and if that has happened, it's something of a personal decision to decide how to deal with it, and if the addict feels it's okay to do it alone, they should be strong enough to deal with it. In cases of addicts committing crimes which have nothing to do with gambling, it's always either influenced by them and the fact of being in major debt or the shame of facing the world after losing everything they might have built because of gambling, but any decision taken has to do with the person deciding, and suicide has never been seen as a solution anywhere. Why people even think about it is what I don't know.

You like discussing your gambling activities and experiments with people simply because you are not an addicted gambler, and maybe also because you live in a place where gamblers are not stigmatized and seen or treated as irresponsible set of people.. In a society where gamblers are seen and treated as irresponsible people, gamblers in that society will always keep every of gambling actions and activities to their self alone, and this is not actually dangerous if the gambler is not addicted to gambling but just playing casually. But issue begins if that gambler is addicted to gambling, this can lead to alot of negative things in the life of the gambler especially when he refuses to damn the consequences and speak up. Many have ended up committing suicide as a result of not being able to speak up about what they are going through and how they need help.

Very few people who have fallen prey to gambling addiction have been able to completely free themselves from the addiction.
I’m not sure if there are reliable stats on the percentage of gamblers who have successfully overcome their addiction, but in general, the number is quite low. If a gambler is overly emotional and unable to control themselves, it becomes very difficult not only to overcome the addiction but even to recognize and admit that they have one. Being in denial is the worst thing that any gambling addict would put himself in because they would not be able to recover from their addiction. Admitting first of all and recognizing the fact that you are addicted is the first step to start making a change. You are right about the percentage of those that recover from gambling addiction, it is a small amount because most addicted gamblers think that it is impossible to recover from gambling addiction, this mindset doesn't make them put in effort Good point, when you submit yourself admitting that you are already addicted and you are willing to make a change it will helps a lot in driving yourself to achieved such goals, though if the level of addction was too deep a needed aid from someone who truly cares will help boosting your intension to change up, more on accepting the problem and finding ways to help yourself to avoid more actions that will put you to a much deeper addictions.

It’s hard to realize that one’s gambling behavior has been wrong from the start even when people are aware of this few take immediate action to correct it, because most gamblers will keep doing it until they find themselves at the worst possible point. The shift from starting out as a form of entertainment and eventually becoming a pursuit of winning is no longer unusual, given that the allure of gambling is so strong it can alter the perspective of those who gamble.

I understand you and from where you are coming from, but consider cases where the gambler doesn't even know that he/or she is addicted....In such a case, that individual may may have some residual funds to use without having to obtain loans from others... And since he is addicted without realizing it, that addiction could be silently eating up the person finances, time and whatnot...In such a situation the world may not even know what is happening to that gambler especially if the gambler happen to be a very private individual who only engages in online gambling...

Actually, gambling itself may not be a silent killer, the real problem begins when people lose control. At first many people come to play for fun or small profits but gradually it gets to a point where they can’t stop. When they lose they play again to recover and when they win, they think they will win more this cycle slowly kills people. So in my opinion the mental state where people run after hope without looking at reality is more dangerous than gambling.
Gambling can be entertaining but when you start getting addicted that is when it's going to kill you slowly because you will not know that you are losing and also losing your mental health which will be killing you slowly but since you are enjoying what you're doing you will continue gambling you don't know what is happening to your finance. Being emotionally intelligent means you have to know when the bet you are playing are no longer profiting you but killing your finance, you cannot say you are gambling for entertainment and then when you lose you start getting angry if you continue doing this then you might end up not enjoying the game that you're playing and also not benefiting from the game that you are trying to get some profit from.

Exactly, exercising this habit, is the safest way to escape addiction and maintain the fun intact, instead of trying to outsmart the system, which is not that easy and can affect their relationships negatively and can also cause them financial trouble. So, gamblers are to ensure they keep or stay stick to their budget and their plans towards gambling, which will totally be of help and support to guide them and keep their emotions in check.

I believe gambling addiction is a silent killer. There are no symptoms; you may see a healthy person, but deep within, they are suffering from depression and physical disabilities. They may look happy outside, but deep inside, they are lonely and helpless.
What makes it a silent killer they starts unnoticed until it's accumulated over the years, and all the symptoms appear after so many years of concealing it.
I have read reports of physically healthy people, but once they start gambling, no one notices the changes in their appearance until they suffer from a heart attack and manic depression.
What are the other symptoms that you can think of that will make gambling addiction a silent killer? Let's explore this so we can inform.
Gambling addiction is a silent killer and it doesn't necessarily mean you will get sick before you will know that you are dying inside of you, people go through alot from gambling addiction and some people take loans to gamble and when they don't win they have heart attacks and slump as the case may be, they will have to think of how they are going to repay the loans and it leads to depression sometimes. It's advisable not to borrow money to gamble, gamblers should be able to bet with what they have and what they can afford to loose and stop chasing looses too as it open doors to more losses. I don't really think there are visible symptoms that one can notice from someone who is an addict, they just die inside of them emotionally and sometimes dis- associates themselves from their peer group due to depression.

Yes, gambling addiction could be a silent killer if the addicted person chose to keep it secret from everyone, then they might start making impulsive decision and since there's no one to help them out from those evil thought they might just decide to do it without even considering the disadvantage. Personally i like discussing my gambling experiment with people around me so that if there's anything I need to know they will tell me, because when you're doing something within yourself you can easily make the wrong decision that might result something negative.
it’s good to be open about your gambling to others as it holds you accountable. the moment you feel secretive about your gambling habits, it might be a sign that there’s something wrong already

Gambling addiction makes life hell, addiction forces the gambler to do various bad things, once gambling becomes an addiction it is very difficult to get out of it. Because an addicted person has no control over himself, so they cannot manage gambling in an orderly manner by following the right rules, due to which the gambler faces mental and financial losses. I think gambling is mainly for entertainment, choosing gambling to earn money is not at all right, as a result the amount of losses increases.

The evolution of addiction to gambling is a real silent killer that may develop in loneliness. I do concur that secrecy exacerbates the situation as it enables uncontrolled actions to be made and bad habits to be reinforced. By concealing his or her problems. a person misses the opportunity to get counselling, sobering-up. or sympathy of other people. Talking about your gambling life in such an open manner is a healthy way of doing it. as it introduces accountability and point of view. Finally. awareness. discipline and communication are important elements in ensuring that gambling does not become a bad habit.

The trick about gambling addiction is that you'll never know what you're getting your self into. Even people who have been identified smart still fall for this trick because they feel like they're under control until their emotions starts demanding for revenge that's when they say "fuck it I'm getting everything thing back" but this is where it actually gets worse and make them more addicted with irresponsible gambling decisions. And before anyone realizes themselves at this stage they've already made a very bad mistake which have caused them huge tragic results.
