As a gambler you need to know your limits in gambling to avoid being so addicted to what you can't come from it but once you stake responsible it means that you know and understand when you have gotten to the limit of not continuing to stake and if you find yourself that you stop once you you the limit, it means that you are betting responsibly and staking with the amount you can be able to afford, is what every gamblers should advise themselves because once you stake with what you can't afford to lose and you finally lose the bet, the way will handle your loss can result to something else with your emotions within that person, so if you are type that their blood always goes high anytime you lose, i will advise stop staking with amount that you can handle if lose your bet.

If you know how gambling works or the advantage of the house, you would expect that every time you gamble, it's against you. You cannot really win, and in the long term, you will lose more than you win. That's statistics, and I think it should already be a guide for you.

I may not completely or perfectly understand every thing that you have said in this initial post, but let me say that if you must practise what is known as responsible gambling, then you must adhere to the advice that you should only stake what or an amount of money you know you can afford to lose on the games you play/bet on.

Gambling/sports betting is an activity that comes with quite a good level of risk and it's important we engage in it with care and consciousness of all our actions to avoid making any mistakes we may live to every regret.
So regardless of who you are, it's important to gamble responsibly, even your winnings won't benefit you in any way if you are not a responsible gambler.

The saying otherwise is explaining that one should gamble responsibly with discipline inorder not to run-over loses, it shouldn't seem like a discouragement because most early gamblers ignore this advise and regret later on basically due to the positive results they get while they stake and win. Yes the excitement of the wins and jackpots would always warrant you to keep up the process so it's always advised to stake responsibly.

The truth is that if a gambler is with you while you are gambling they will want to give their own opinion about the game but it is up to you not to listen to what they are saying and continue with your game. If you think you are not very convinced with your game then you can go with what the person is coming up with. But every gambler have a responsibility to choose how they want to play their game.

Then, I have this my friend that is very good at booking games and sharing at anyone he knows. At end his statement will be, IF YOU WIN SHOW ME LOVE OOO. One more thing they can bring draws games.

Of course if eventually you won by using what he predicted,  the ideal thing is to show some love , just a amount that you can afford because if you had played your own game, you may not have won. So I dont really see this as a problem.

I guess you still don't understand the concept of stake what you can afford, it is being responsible with your spending. Imagine you made $1000 and use that entirely to bet but you lost it completely then what is your source for the month to survive? Do not forget that everybody can not be like you and because you can control your emotions and gamble with leftovers, it is better you know that some gamblers are opportunistic when they are gambling and they are always looking for way to outshine the casino they are using to make fast profits if its possible for them.  Gambling would not be profitable if they are not getting entertained and having the expectation of making money from gambling very quickly and things are not working as planned.

I'm familiar with what you are saying and I have come across them. If you are from Nigeria, before gambling became mainstream, there used to be betting shop back then but now online apps has revolutionize how gambling is played. When you visit those shops, you will see plenty of gamblers with ideas of games to choose and how to win but like you said, they don't have money to stake, it's not like they don't have money per say but have exhausted their money on same bet ideas they want to share with you without winning any money.

Fun fact about those boys, some of them even sleep in those casino shops everyday. Bunch of jobless boys just looking for a way they can take some money from your bet in case you win some money. Some will even beg for you for some money so they can bet on some game. The best thing you can do, just ignore them and play your bet or do your thing at home, this even better.

Correct, it’s to protect their business in general.

They want players to be consistent playing in the casino which means their ideal customer are those responsible gambler that will keep coming back by just losing what they can afford to lose.

Addicted gambler usually spend all their bankroll for short term while they quit long term once they already addressed the gambling addiction problem.

Responsible gambler provides consistent and long term profit over problematic gambler.

I'm answering based on the title. You are to stake with the amount of money that you can afford to lose in order for you to be able to control your emotions and let go after losing your bet because gambling is done for fun and not for profit since it's a game of luck. You can only win when you're lucky. If you gamble with money for your up keep, it will make you uncomfortable.

Anybody that goes on to gamble more than they're able to comfortably lose is just shooting themselves on the foot because at the end of the day, you will need mental clarity and more chips on the table than what you've staked because if anything, remaining chips on the table simply means that there's a fighting chance even if the current bet is lost. Personally, I'm a confronted with situations daily that prompts me to use all of my bankroll to bet due to my conviction but I don't do it because in the past, it was a recipe for disaster to me.

In this context though, what you can afford to lose might even be your emotional control and discipline and it is more dangerous than losing money which can be replaced, but mental health would likely cost more money to treat.

OP is right that there are days that we are winners but, that's it. There are bad days as well and that's why we still need to gamble responsibly and only bet with the games that we know of. Because there are gamblers that keeps on gambling with the games that they like and think of winning it but, they're not doing it responsibly. So with all that they have makes them look to gamble at those games without an idea of how much they'd stake because they have no plan in the beginning. And that's what they are forgetting to set before gambling.
