‎This is true and is how I landed my current job, it all mainly lead back to knowing the right person who was able to connect me into the job that was needed at the time. Having a wide group of friends, even just making those little bits of effort to stay connected with people who have a common mindset or interest can really pay off massively. You have to also return the favor where you can because others may end up relying on you. There is a danger though that you must only refer people into jobs when you truly know their character. If you are just an acquaintance or a friend of a friend, sometimes that can get abused if you refer the person to a job and they turn out to be useless or don't work very well.

It is important in our local employment when you have a network. You know that backer system is strong and tolerated in our country and that's why even with job applications, they'd ask you if you have a network inside their company and if someone has helped you to get into knowing the job opening. I agree that having connections can help, but I don't think that the majority of successful people got their success because of one of their connections. When you have connections, you tend to have the possibility of getting most of your problems solved quicker than someone who doesn't have any connections, and I have seen this in real life where people who are not very rich but have connections tend to have the privilege of getting all their works done in no time, they always have someone to reach out to when they have some work, even if it's a government work or something.
