Good (I mean... bad) because Internacional started the championship losing to Athletico-PR yesterday.
On one hand, it is sad to see my beloved team start the championship this way, on the other hand, it is happy to see another team from my region starting well.
Anyway, I think this early start to the championship will significantly affect the dynamics of the first games because the clubs that planned early and finalized their reinforcements will start better, while those that are still negotiating may suffer more in the first rounds with injuries and less cohesion between the players... an early championship generates this extra pressure on clubs that have a well-organized management.
And about favorites?? Difficult.... I really wanted to bet on something other than Flamengo, Palmeiras, and Atlético-MG, but I still do not have a formed opinion.
I am sounding out some teams that could be a "surprise" in the championship, just like Mirassol was in 2025... I doubt many imagined they would do so well.
I think monitoring Chapecoense would be a good idea. Yesterday they beat Santos 4-2. In my view, they started on the right foot, which is enough to monitor them at this early stage, but in Santos' case, the big stars haven't played yet.
