Yeap... everyone already suspected it, but this week they had to make it very public since they no longer have money even to pay players and staff... the hole in the financial cash flow is R$ 500 million ( ~$100 million), but in the long term amounts it already to R$ 2.5 billion ($500 million)
It is a very complicated scenario!

A bank loans would not save Botafogo, maybe they will allow one more two or three months to pay salary obligations... the best way out is for them to sell a player and it seems that Alexander Barboza is already in advanced negotiations with Palmeiras.

It's true, you can't field the starting lineup in every match they play. But I don't think that's a problem for Flamengo, their reserve team is still surprisingly good.

They don't have the same quality as the starting team, but I think if they get into a rhythm and develop good teamwork, they can still fight for the top spots in the Brasileirão.

It's simply ridiculous that Flamengo let a victory slip away against their rival Vasco in this weekend's derby. The match was practically won, two goals ahead, and all they had to do was manage the rest of the game. But no, it's unbelievable how they managed to drop those points. I just hope these three points don't come back to haunt us later in the season. It’s tough... but that’s part of the game!

From what I see, the final result was a draw, a very poor ending for São Paulo fans who had to watch their team concede a second goal in the 90+7 minutes, just when the game was almost over. This also ruined your bet and many other people's bets. That's the Brazilian league for you, always very unpredictable. Bahia only had 1 win in their last 5 games, while São Paulo only had 2 wins in their last 5 games. Both teams are close in their last 5 games, and perhaps betting on them is like buying a lottery ticket and hoping to win something.

While I was writing my post, I saw a news report on Globo Esporte saying that Neymar tripped and slapped Robinho Jr. because Robinho had dribbled past him. I don't know to what extent this is true. But if it turns out to be true, then it's a terrible action by Neymar and he will be destroying what little good image he still has left in football.

The team might not have a strong enough roster to compete for the title, but they’ve already improved a lot

Opponent is in 13th place and before the game against Flamengo, they had played 4 consecutive games in which they only managed to score more than 1 goal in 1 game. Flamengo, before that game, had played 9 consecutive games without conceding more than 1 goal. So it was a game where at least one could imagine a Flamengo victory in which they would only concede 1 goal.

And the most unbelievable thing is that Flamengo was winning 2-0 and conceded 2 goals.  It seemed to me that the second goal Flamengo conceded was offside, I may have seen it wrong.

This proves that nowadays any championship is difficult; the technical level has evolved so much that the amount of money involved is no longer a differentiating factor that can give one team more physical conditioning or strategy than another... very different from the past when there was still much to discover and evolve.

Nowadays, results are decided by details, and predicting a match is not easy at all.

At the beginning of the championship, just look at the teams and you can hardly say for sure which 2 or 3 teams will be champions, there are always at least 6 teams that have a chance of winning

I did a search here and 17 different teams have already been Brazilian champions
It's very easy to see a big team struggling against a very small team here

That's why the teams that are evolving rapidly are those that are investing in technology. In Brazil, we have Mirassol, which used to be a practically amateur team, and today it's a great team that improves more each year. Whoever leaked this information was trying to tarnish Neymar's image somehow. This happened during a completely private Santos training session, where only youth team players and players who didn't play against Palmeiras were present.

From what I understand, Robinho Jr. joked and crossed the line with a first team player, and after that, Neymar was pressured to teach Robinho a lesson, since he's his "father figure" within the club. However, he was very harsh with the boy, and later apologized in the locker room. Nobody connected to Neymar or Robinho Jr. leaked the information, suggesting they resolved their differences.
