Looking at the statistics of both teams, there's a good chance this will end in a draw. Even more so after Corinthians drew with Cascavel in a friendly. That really surprised me, how they managed to draw that. They were practically two amateur teams.

Sorry guys, I'm angry because I do not have anything good to say, my team (Internacional) lost to 2x1 to Cruzeiro yesterday, and they are currently going through their worst spell. Since 2003, they have not "managed" to earn so few points in the first half of the season.

Anyway... this year they have a good chance of being relegated if they ca not recover, which I think will be difficult because, if we look at previous seasons, you can see that the trend has really been one of decline.

How about your teams? How are they doing?

Corinthians seems to be back in full force. 3-0 against Remo, and it even earned me some extra money. I hope it continues like this. I've never been much of a sports bettor; I started recently. I still have a lot to learn, but today's bet paid off.

Palmeiras continues its winning streak. After securing 3 points with 3 goals in their away match against Coritiba, Palmeiras managed to raise its total to 44 points. Leading 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Mauricio, Palmeiras conceded a goal just one minute after extending its lead to 3, and the match ended 3-1.
Flamengo secured an easy victory on the road against Chapecoense. Leading 2-0 at halftime, Flamengo scored two more goals in the second half to secure a 4-0 victory. With this win, Flamengo, which continues to trail Palmeiras, raised its point total to 37.

I would have hesitated as well on the both teams to score on Santos,because Chapecoense is dead last and was able to score twice in this game and that wasnt expected at all,they even got a draw against Santos in this match. Santos is gambling with their points again and will fight again this season for survival. If it wasnt for Neymar this season they would have been in the relegation zone and probobly be relegated,they should be thankfull they have him.

I never follow the Brasileiro league, but yesterday my newsfeed was full of videos of Neymar's goals, which is why I paid attention to this league and the match.
Santos should have won the match, they were fighting against the bottom team of the points table and were leading at the beginning, after leading 1-0 in the first half, they fell behind 1-2 in the second half. In the end, the match was tied, but the expected victory was not achieved.

The answer to your main question is, if Neymar Jr. plays even half of the next matches, Santos might be free from relegation by the end of the season. They have only played 20 matches out of 38, they might be in relegation for a while, but I think they will bounce back very soon. Even if they don't secure a very good position, they might end the season in the top 12.

When I analyzed the game, my prediction was that both teams would score; I was very convinced of that. But I felt too lazy to bet at the time, I hesitated, because I intended to first see the official lineups of both teams. Due to the time difference between my country and Brazil, I couldn't see the lineups; I only saw that the game had already started and there wouldn't be enough time to deposit money into the betting site and place a bet. So I preferred to just watch the game. Chapecoense beat Santos this year, with a 4-2 result, so even though they are in last place, they are a strong team for Santos.

Personally, I'm rooting for Palmeiras to crash and burn. Every year it's the same old story, Palmeiras standing in the way of the biggest club in Brazil winning the Brazilian league title again. I hope they lose to Vitória-BA, haha. My team Flamengo is playing away against Internacional, which is going to be a tough match even though Inter is struggling and basically in the relegation zone.
