Santos 2 - 1 Cruzeiro

It is incredible to see the run of good results Santos is enjoying; with this victory, they are now unbeaten in five games. Playing at home, they performed very well—I was able to watch the match highlights. They could easily have scored at least three goals. In contrast, Cruzeiro created few chances and seemed uninterested in playing. Although they created a good opportunity in the 56th minute, they squandered it, and even after scoring one goal, they couldn't turn the match around and ultimately lost.

Grêmio 1 - 2 Vasco da Gama

Grêmio has managed only one win in their last four games and is hovering near the relegation zone. Facing an opponent that—on paper—was worse off in terms of both standing and performance presented a prime opportunity for a win; instead, they lost. In every cases, they still have to maintain position to guarantee a spot of Libertadores next year. If they fall too much on the table, fans will get even more angry on them yet, as if losing to Atlético MG wasn't enough...

It's strange to see Botafogo in 13th place this season even after playing 25 games. I don't know how they've fallen so far. They haven't won in their last 5 games, while Palmeiras has only won 1 in their last 5 games. If they continue like this, they could fall in the standings quickly like Botafogo.

The few quality chances that did arise included the penalty São Paulo converted, had the teams capitalized on those few opportunities, we would have seen at least two goals. With this defeat, Internacional remains in the relegation zone. They really ought to start worrying, though there are 10 rounds left, and every loss from here on out will only make their situation worse.

Corinthians 1 - 3 Fluminense

Well, that’s another defeat for Corinthians, with this result, the team has now suffered six consecutive losses. Yes, not just two, three, or four we are talking about six straight defeats. If they lose the next match against Internacional, that will make it seven and considering they play Palmeiras after that, it could reach eight consecutive losses. I don't know what was going on with the Palmeiras players; they kept firing shots straight at the Grêmio goalkeeper and sending headers which should have been easy goals crashing against the crossbar instead and the game ended in a draw, With this draw, Palmeiras has recorded three draws in their last five games. They were dropped points, but I'm happy because this puts Flamengo at the top of the table.

Flamengo 2 - 1 Bragantino

It was a very important victory for Flamengo, who now top the table; they could have kept a clean sheet were it not for that mistake by Bruno Henrique:



Bruno Henrique came on in the 71st minute and by the 86th, he had already scored an own goal, he was supposed to come on to help Flamengo score, not assist the opponent as he did in the incident shown in the photo. I don't know why he positioned himself that way when the Bragantino player took the shot, but the fact remains that he put the ball into his own net. the most important thing is that Flamengo won and moved to the top of the table. It isn't a huge lead over Palmeiras a three point advantage isn't much so they need to maintain a consistent winning run and avoid errors like the one Bruno Henrique made.

I read that now the chance of Internacional being relegated was 70%, but if I were to bet on it, I’ would say it goes over 90%... I’ve never felt so much disgust with my team... it is sad.

But, with the Pezzolano’s departure may this change, even if he is only a part of problem, when a team goes a long time without winning, changing the manager can break the inertia, reduce a pressure, alter the team energy... this affects the psychological side, so at least the emotional issue is already resolved... as for the technical issue it totally depends of the new manager’s hability to correct flaws and explore new techniques.... maybe the relegation percentage has now dropped to around 50%!?

Clubs voted to gradually reduce the number of foreign players in matches of the Série A (Brasileirão) and Série B championships. Now, the rule is that there can be up to eight foreign players in each match. This will take effect next year and will decrease by one each year until 2030, when it will reach a limit of five players. This aims to curb the number of foreign players in the championship.

I, personally, think it's good because it encourages Brazilian players to have more opportunities. There might even be exceptions for players to change nationality. And from what I understand, coaches don't count, so we can have a more technical style of football without necessarily needing more foreign players.

I think it's a good idea, especially because foreign players who come to Brazil usually come at the end of their careers just to try to grab some money from the big clubs, thus bringing debt, expenses, and hindering more than helping. There are exceptions, of course, but that's generally what has been happening. Hopefully, this will have an effect so that more good young players emerge and get space in the club. Maybe some rule requiring a certain number of academy players to be part of the main team, I don't know, just an idea
