The universe as we may know it, is said to be wild, big and even have so many branches of timelines which I'm science, most people believe to be multiversal branches. According to scientists especially physicists, these timelines all have lives and we practically may even have people like us in them called doppelgangers. Initially I have never believed this theory because I have only seen it in movies and fictional books but recently I came across a theory called Quantum Immortality Theory. These theory states that a person's consciousness never experiences death. When facing a fatal event, the universe splits into branches where the individual dies and others where they survive and it is really disturbing.  However, the theory remains speculative, with no empirical evidence to support the idea that consciousness can transfer between parallel universes. You can read this article for more details

I thought it true but since I am not purely a science student even if I find it interesting, I still do not relate to the contexts of this theory. I believe the forum is a society made up of scholars in different fields of study so I can be properly enlightened. My question here is;

1. If really the whole concept about QUANTUM PHYSICS AND QUANTUM IMMORTALITY is true, then how come we do not feel it when our consciousness is moved into a whole new dimension or timeline.

2. What triggered the thought and why was it made a theory because there isn't much practical work that shows it is true.

Like you asked, it might be a lie. If it is, it's us lying to ourselves. Why would we lie to ourselves? Because we want to know the truth, but maybe the truth is more difficult than we can understand.

I believe in 'multiversal branches'. But I believe that they are simply other universes that exist right next to ours, but vibrate at a different universe frequency than ours. There is a lot of space in an atom compared to the sizes of the components of the atom... electrons, protons, neutrons. And these seem to be made up of smaller 'particles' that have a lot of empty space in them, as well. But all of that is simply science description because scientists, if they know it any different, can't explain it any other way, and yet have it make sense to the layman.

Search on "parallel universes."

I believe that the particles (subatomic particals) of our universe are more clearly understood to think of them as 'junctures' where 2 or more of the parallel universes touch each other... to become particles of our universe. Remember that when you get that small, particles and waves become very similar.

A far as the soul goes, the soul is a complexity of wave interactions that survive no matter how small they become, and without a body to contain them.

God made the universe in 6 days... or at least made it as it is now. Consider how great God must be. And if He uses cause and effect as is found throughout the universe, think of how great His science must be.

I could throw a garage together in 6 days. But a universe???

Mankind doesn't really have a clue.

These theory states that a person's consciousness never experiences death. When facing a fatal event, the universe splits into branches where the individual dies and others where they survive and it is really disturbing.

Each decision you make (hold my breath as I jump over this puddle) spawns an alternate universe where you made a different choice, and those universes continue on without you.  Consider it theory or reality, depending on your enlightenment.   Some quantum theories even claim each individual "quantum leap" creates a new reality, an infinite amount every where at all times.

We're just learning to crawl in the universe.  Rather than take an idea and reject it as stupid, keeping all these possibilities open allows us to imagine.

Consider a reality where it is billions of years in the future, yet you are still conscious, because aliens kept you alive.  As unrealistic and improbable as that is, there exists a quantum path in which you can live forever.

If really the whole concept about QUANTUM PHYSICS AND QUANTUM IMMORTALITY is true, then how come we do not feel it when our consciousness is moved into a whole new dimension or timeline.

Tell us what we should feel and people will work that in to the theories.
