The myths and reality about tipsters

As always, I open a topic when I'm fed up with thousands of nonsensical posts about a subject

So let's go down one by one:
1) There are no legit tipsters! False!

As I said multiple times here, there are people doing this with tracked records for decades, for the Racing Post,  Tom Segal for Attheraces Hugh Tyler obviously those are from horse racing as that's my betting field but the sme thing happens eveywhere, NFL, NBA anything, plenty of sites that track those records, you don't have to believe the guy you have to beleive hard numbers!

2) It's impossible for such a tipster to exist, you can't beat the odds long-term ! False!

Proven by records on every tipster website!But this serves to bust another myth!

You see, odds when released are made by people, it doesn't matter what algorithm you have, the data for it is made and inserted by human beings, there is no godlike creature of universal knowledge creating those bets, all you have to do /s is just be better than those who make the odd and take advantage of the odds!

Unlike a casino game where you have no control over the randomness of dice or slots, with sports betting, you have a chance if you're smarter than the bookies. I am actually a bit angry this is so hard to comprehend on a crypto-oriented board where we also talk about trading, it's no different, you just have to beat the other guys!

3) Track record doesn't mean future accuracy! True!
You can have a guy that was profitable for 20 years, you don't know if tommorow or 2 months from now he won't go fully retard and sprout only non-sense!

4) There are no 100% accurate tipsters! True!
Real tipsters are losing bets too, it's the 5-10% difference between what you lose and what you make that differentiates between a good tipster and a bad one!

Tipsters exist for those who believe in quick success. Those perceived gamblers that are too lazy to focus on understanding how the game works and instead rely on tipsters to bet.
One thing tipsters promise is a sure win and this is what drags greedy and ignorant gamblers to their doom.
Tipsters are good at selling hope and as a wise gambler, to do your personal research should include you checking out their history post Incase they deleted some after major failures. It is also good to take proper notice of how they market themselves and the promise of 100% return that most offer as a lure. If they insist on a specific sportsbook to use also, it could be a red flag that such a tipster is fraud and a scam and they have nothing to gain really if you lose all your funds because of greed.

If they were to be posting in a third party platform it would be more reliable but still in many platforms people can make multiple posts and only show the ones they like later. This is possible in telegram, Facebook etc.

Yeah man, the Reptilian Overlods Mafia of Tipsters is manipulating the records and nobody has yet to find a clear case of that...
The guy I mentioned above is doing this since 2009 but yeah, they are not only manipulating the records but also eliminating everyone who sees the manipualtion then brainwashing eveyone that knew the person who was eliminated! Check the back of your head, and if you feel a bone under the skin, for sure it's an alien implant, remove it as fast as you can!

Either this, or you have a problem admitting someone is just better than you at gambling!

This is true. I had this concern too when I first read the OP.  It's no longer news that things like records can be easily manipulated. However, i  second the fact that there are legit tipster and a tiny amount is profitable in the long run because as much as we want wins, losses are inevitable and anyone who masters the art of beating the odds in the long term.

A tipster who makes promises of 100% accuracy in the selected game is a liar. No odds are 100% accurate, they are one way or another bound to luck.
Laziness is not enough reason to rely on tipsters. Yeah, many folks are too lazy to know how odds work, but most people do this, so they do not get addicted to gambling; they would rather take games from a tipster than predict the games themselves.

Most tipsters dont share hope, they only share what has been working for them with those who are interested. After all, everyone has the right to make their choices, and also to make changes to the games they feel are not sitting well with them.

That’s certainly not far from the truth as there are several tools today that could easy get you a fake of whatever you want. In order to stay relevant in business and make the most off the trade, there is no limit to what tricks tipsters can use to convince you to play with them.

I always wonder why they can’t go 100% on their tips and make the most of it. In the end, you would be putting out your lot for what some tipster doesn’t absolutely believes in.

Some tipsters are not even that good with giving prediction tips, most of them just have fan pages and they are being overhyped for no reason, saying this because I have followed a good number if punters on x. Most of them have one thing common called vip, this is what most bettors spend on that isn't really worth it to me. Anytime you come across such things on telegram just know that its going to be a waste of time. it is better to trust your predictions than to rely on tipsters. 80 percent of them online are false and they don't understand betting as much as they claim.

I believe there’s a legit tipster too since I do subscribe on them before and get a good result.

They are just not 100% accurate therefore some of the bets loses while as a subscriber there are time that you might ride on losing tips while missed the winning tips since we are not active most of the time to follow all the tips.

Scam tipster just the dominate now that’s why it’s frequently being generalized that all tipster are scam.

Fwiw pretty much every tipster on telegram posts a dozen private messages and then only reveals the valid ones after the matches are over. It is a very common trick.

I would expect similar from tipsters who have their own website. It's very easy to go back in a post and edit it or just edit the dates to newer posts if you're the admin of a website.

If any tipster cared to post in a verifiable way I'd be more interested.

Best tipster I can remember was an ex player, not at the highest level but good enough to be far from the average crowd.
  Understood the real differences in the teams and levels of quality each could command (with varying consistency) and operate in their tactical advantage when playing, which made a real difference in the odds and value to betting.

Sure. The trading and gambling are practical alike of several risks which all still requires you to be a champion in the event before you can make it successful.
Both casino's and sport games are faced with equal risk in different dimensions which is why non is predictable or reliable when predicting.

I gave you the link to two tipsters that have been in the business for 10 years with a proven record, and your rebuttal is that...well, nothing!
I have a feeling it's exactly how I said it first, this complete denial is just jealousy that someone can do it while others can't!
It can't be legit since I'm unable to do this kind of stuff!

Here in the forum I have seen just few legit people able to provide solid odds and predictions.
Mostly just try to steal your funds. I can understand the point "the previous record doesn't provide data for the performance of the future"
In any case, there is a "consistency" on their bets. its really hard they had a negative year. In general a good tipster could easily earn 10% of total wagered.

In simple terms, they can increase the chances of winning, but they can't guarantee you the win that is the difference.

One can be a successful long term sports bettor but not everyone can imitate the same that is why I keep insiting that even with all the knowledge you still need that luck when we are talking about 'win'.

Thanks for this topic @op and the information there in, in a forum like this, it's shouldn't be a surprise when you read some users say all sort of things they have no clue about and even claim mastery in the field, we all know for what purpose many of us do this but it's unfortunate many of us don't care to give ourselves to knowledge afterwards so as to help us correct past errors and misconceptions about topics like this.

Personally, I've always believed that there are professionals in the field of sports betting, those mostly self acclaimed, but they are mostly the ones who move on to become tipsters either through knowledge from years of experience or through connections giving them access to fixed matches or both maybe, but my opinion on this subject matter has always been that the fake version of this tipsters are way more saturated that finding a true and genuine tipster is mostly hard, except there is a platform like a website dedicated where this genuine tipsters are listed in ranks based on track records which I do not know about, then I would happily want to learn about that platform.

I feel like anyone can get on a hot streak now n then, but eventually get cocky n can't hit water if they fell out of a boat. So if you're following a tipster, don't start betting with them until their hot streak comes IMO. Hard to judge right? Well wait til they hit 3 or 4 in a row and follow for games 5 n 6 to see how you do.

There's so many tipsters out there is another issue, then there's the paid tipsters. I think those are the worst because as the OP said, "you don't know if tommorow or 2 months from now he won't go fully retard and sprout only non-sense".

Apart from the points you mention, even if you are able to find a legitimate tipster, there are two problems that can prevent you from achieving good results. You have mentioned one of them, which is that any tipster also has periods of bad luck. The other is this:

Here's the thing. To get the same results as him, you would have to bet exactly the same way he does, which nobody does. It's true that if the tipster is good, legitimate, and you don't catch him on a bad streak, the trend will be to make a profit, but if a professional bettor and tipster makes 200 bets a week and you make 20 basing on his tips, your results may be very different from what he achieves.

These tipsters are also rely with data came from the statistics and standings of the team seems I can them an enthusiast if they really have a good call about the game, but if you are type of gambler who understand too the game you dont need them because at the first at your self you can see the potential of the winnings with the teams. But sometimes they are good at all such as they having a good win streak, records and betslips to propose to you ive seen in different social media that they have group calls they are telling but if you are seeking for the knowledge and information well nothing bad because at the end of the day you are the one who put the bet.
