This question kept on passing through the pages of my heart , I know a lot of people will be curious about what I have to say . Bitcoin as been existing for a long period of time and have gain ground to some extent that fading away will be very hard . Bitcoin cannot be compare to other platforms that started but at the end was later capsize. I assure you that you can keep investing , your BTC are safe . Do not allow any individual to deceive you that Bitcoin is about to end .
What your view on this ;
Will Bitcoin fade way .
That's a good way of thinking. People who continue to corner Bitcoin with their arguments will only harm themselves, and if you accept that way of thinking, you will also become one of those who will regret it. It's just like the devil tempting you to continue doing evil so that you will become his friend in hell.

Bitcoin was not created to force people to own it, but Bitcoin was created for people with a sound mind and awareness of financial freedom.
When people are pessimistic and lose faith in the existing financial system, Bitcoin is there to strengthen their confidence. Only people with good awareness know this from past historical experiences.

Bitcoin will not disappear but will become stronger. Moreover, the way Bitcoin is gaining popularity among people, it seems that Bitcoin will never disappear because different countries are now accepting Bitcoin, not only different countries, but also Bitcoin is getting a place in the strategic reserves of banks of different countries. Moreover, large investment institutions and large companies are accepting Bitcoin and have started Bitcoin transactions with their companies. Seeing and hearing all this, do you think Bitcoin will disappear? I think there will come a time when people will be able to buy fractions of Bitcoin but will not be able to buy a whole Bitcoin.

For bitcoin to disappear, it seems to me that electricity itself would have to disappear, because without it, people simply wouldn’t be able to use bitcoin. And given that this scenario looks practically impossible, bitcoin should be just fine as well. I also don’t really believe that governments of different countries will start banning it, since it can be a convenient way for them to hide illegally earned or stolen money. It is not beneficial for them to act this way.

Bitcoin fades away? That’s like asking if coca-cola will ever disappear. Someone will always drink it, even if Pepsi invents a better formula  Grin

Bitcoin fading away would require either the network stopping, miners leaving en masse or users abandoning it. None of those trends are visible. What does happen is cyclical loss of interest during bear markets, which often gets confused with “failure”. Historically, that has been temporary.

Anyone who says Bitcoin will fade away is undoubtedly out of their mind. Why would Bitcoin fade away? A drop in price doesn't mean Bitcoin will fade away, and government bans don't mean it will. Bitcoin has long since surpassed that stage.

Bitcoin could only fade away in one scenario: the collapse of human civilization due to a devastating nuclear world war or a cataclysmic event that destroys civilization, because Bitcoin has become intrinsically linked to human civilization.

Bitcoin can't fading away, Bitcoin is here to stay and to stay for ever. Have you ever wondered the things Bitcoin passed through in the hand's of the government years back? Over the years government did everything within their power to ensure that Bitcoin was ban, but all there plans failed. Without Bitcoin there will be no cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin paved way for other cryptocurrencies that are existing till today. So anyone who is thinking that Bitcoin will fade away one day that person most be dreaming. And I will gladly advise the person to wake from his/her dream and face reality.

What is the purpose of this thread? Are you making an enquiry or reassuring us that bitcoin is never going to fade because it's clear you've already picked a side, what other validation do you need? Something to make you change your mind about Bitcoin?

well in as much as life is concerned nothing is permanent in this planet earth, and for that reason bitcoin is not exempted one day bitcoin may fade away if there if a new tech that beat the existent of bitcoin, that is if any will ever exist. but as for now currently nothing can make bitcoin fade away, because the program was established on a blockchain with highly coded program and its decentralize nature makes it unique and exceptional from other form of money. when you think of bitcoin fading away think of gold, diamond, silver and many other asset that have lasted for decades. if those asset have lasted without fading away then bitcoin can never fade away because it value and nature has beating all asset and will always stand out as the best. but though like said with the test of time, future will tell how far it will go since we are bound to changes.

You contradict yourself in this post. First you say nothing is permanent and that Bitcoin may fade if a technology better than Bitcoin comes up. Secondly, you compare Bitcoin to gold, silver and diamond, stating how they've been in existence for decades, therefore Bitcoin is never going to fade.

Aside comparing Bitcoin to any of these commodities, Bitcoin is decentralized, mined and controlled by people all over the world. No entity can shut down a network running on thousands of independent nodes all over the world. Bitcoin also has a fixed supply, so the possibility of it losing its value is ruled out. I wonder what a technology that will replace bitcoin will look like.

In this present day, this should not be announced to people; at least records and evidence are there to show what Bitcoin is. It was when Bitcoin was new that people didn't have a good understanding of it, and then one just had to convince them why they needed to invest in Bitcoin.

I see no reason why people should be deceived into not investing in Bitcoin. Bitcoin has a good record; at least history is there to give people a better understanding of Bitcoin and more reasons to invest in it.

For Bitcoin to fade away, there would have to be an extraordinary event, whether it be a major technical failure that causes a massive loss of public trust or the emergence of a new technology that replaces Bitcoin. However, neither of these things has happened so far, and people still have a lot of faith in Bitcoin. So for now, and probably for decades to come, I am sure that Bitcoin will not fade away as some people say it will.

Bitcoin is part of our society now, it's been invested on by so many individuals and big time firms, it's being used as a currency, and also for payments because of it's speed, security and privacy.
And also because the world is going digital as days go by.

Bitcoin will not fade, it will be even me relevant than it is now in years to come

I was an early adopter but I think at this point I'm with Warren Buffett - it has no underlying value and is just a speculative trading instrument. Hasn't found any useful purpose that can't be satisfied by fiat or metals.

I can’t predict the future accurately, but I strongly believe that bitcoin has come to stay.Bitcoin may or may not fade out in the future, but even if it happens in the future,it’s still not going to be forgotten so easily.Bitcoin is building an incredible performance in the monetary policy,to be precise(digitally).I make my own personal decisions and I don’t rely on lies on the internet and in reality,a lot of stories have been told about the crash of bitcoin, but still bitcoin has never failed to come up with a new all time high after a long price decline.I encourage every enthusiast not to get panicked by false news rather they should keep building a decent portfolio for the future.

Bitcoin as been existing for a long period of time and have gain ground to some extent that fading away will be very hard [...]
Will Bitcoin fade way .
I see one realistic reason that Bitcoin fades away: when it fails to get real adoption and remains a speculative asset.

This is what I lined out in this thread some years ago.

It is a possible long term problem, it will not materialize this year nor in the next 5 years probably. But the logic is the following one:

- Bitcoin's volatility to the upside diminishes, the bull markets are weaker every cycle. For example, the next ATH could be still 30% up from the October high of 126,000 (near 180-200,000), but then the one after that, only perhaps reaches 220,000, and so on.
- FOMO is cooling down, while panics are still as present as ever.
- ATHs will get rarer, while crashes still lose so much (50% or more) that they scare away many investors.
- So there is less and less demand each cycle. And eventually, the price will tend down in the long term.

But there's an antidote: Adoption! If people actually use their Bitcoins and intensify the network effect, then that scary scenario will (likely) not happen.

It doesn't mean only spending. Demand can also be boosted if it's adopted as a saving asset, as long as it's mostly HODLed and not sold. But spending is never wrong Smiley

Well if I may say you have already answered your own question and to me the answer remains the same. Bitcoin has gradually grown since 2009 and throughout those years it has faced much criticism insults and many more still it has survived. And now Bitcoin stands as the most valuable asset. So if you ask whether Bitcoin will fade, to me it's very obvious that it wouldn't Like basically something becomes stronger the longer it lasts and at the same time becomes valuable and trustworthy bitcoin has proven both .

Overall Bitcoin is the most valuable asset in this crypto space and with its limited scarcity and an unlimited potential indeed it's easy to say Bitcoin is a revolutionary technology that is here to stay no matter what. So yeah that's all for me...

Bitcoin fading away would require either the network stopping, miners leaving en masse or users abandoning it. None of those trends are visible. What does happen is cyclical loss of interest during bear markets, which often gets confused with “failure”. Historically, that has been temporary.
And it's even said that the potentiality of 51% attack could stop it. But that's an expensive one to do and no one has that in their heads anymore.

So, it's true that none of those possibilities are visible as of now. It's not going to fade away.

I guess that questions like this irritates some people of the community. Obviously not me but I understand where they're coming from especially if they're new, and they're asking the sentiment of the people who's been here for how many years.

The fading away of Bitcoin looks unlikely. For More than a decade, it has survived hacks, crashes, bans, and nonstop criticism.weak hands are been Shaked out of the cycle, still the network keeps running. It's decentralization with fixed supply and global adoption tends to give it staying power which many failed project never had. Everyday users, and Government institutions now interact with it in different form, which makes it totally hard to collapse. Bitcoin they say is not a risk free. Price volatility with regulation and competition will always exist.while ending and going through ups and downs are very different things. Bitcoin may slow down, or face tough times, but backing off entirely is highly unlikely.

The truth is that bitcoin is here to stay , so no need to even have the time to imagine bitcoin fading away or anything , bitcoin is the heart of the crypto space so if bitcoin crash all other coins are going down too. That’s why I kept advising folk to get use to how the crypto world works because it is the  future because if you don’t adapt or learn how it works you’ll be left behind .

I have seen many crypto winter starting from 2014. I should admit, the first time has been really shocking (and initially the change in prices have been literally violent).

Nowadays, bitcoin has not yet gained the "official" space he deserve on international markets to become "the supreme asset".
I am just not surprised. It is impossible that a product could enter a market in a such distruptive way.
For sure it needs time to gain space but moreover... there is an exchange of coins from weak hands to rich investors.

When the price crashes, there is one guy that sell and another that buy. I think in this historic moment they guys that are buying are just professionals in banks, economic industries and so on. It's just matter of months maybe a couple years after the crypto winter, to see another historic ATH...

Mate, the points that you mentioned in your post are no doubt good. But according to my point of view, with the passage of time, manipulating the bitcoin market is becoming easier day by day. Especially after the time frame of 2023, because after that time, a lot of companies and big hands bought Bitcoin too heavily, and sometimes their bullshit statements on social media are enough to create a panic condition in the market. Many companies that are currently holding billions of dollar investment in bitcoin.

Other than this, Bitcoin is taking another turn, which can be another reason to be manipulated easily in the future, in my point of view. And that is counties have started to add bitcoin to their national strategic reserve, just like El Salvador and America. And seeing this, many other countries are getting influenced, just like Pakistan, which also showed its interest in adding Bitcoin to its national strategic reserve. I know it is best to appreciate the price of Bitcoin, but I think this can also bring more manipulation to its market. This is my point of view. CMIIW!

The title is a bit misleading because it gives the impression that you are the one who is confused and want to ask that question, but in the thread, you are saying it yourself that it wouldn't fade away.

Anyway, as it has been said by others already, Bitcoin has proven itself throughout this time, and I don't think anyone that knows and has knowledge about the history of Bitcoin would have any doubts about it, but if some people do, then I think they don't belong to this market or this industry, and they should probably stick to traditional means of making investments or use centralized payment systems only.

Bitcoin is not centralized like altcoins, it's not like there is a team behind it and they can close the project at any time and run away. It's decentralized, miners help the blockchain run, and everything is recorded in the blockchain that can't be filtered or anything. So, Bitcoin is here to stay, it's not fading away.
