--snip--
The people who have been using bitcoin will continue to use it. Because of censorship resistance, the government cannot stop the use of bitcoin. Only in case of a complete internet or electricity shutdown can bitcoin be logically stopped, but if that happens a lot of other more vital stuff will also get stopped and lead to worldwide anarchy which will not be like that for long.

Now because of these rare situations happening rarely, we can safely continue using and stacking bitcoin.

It can be only halted on the adoption road its going, true.

And those that do it just stop themselves from unleashing its potential.

Let me make a few corrections. Bitcoin is not a platform of any sort. Bitcoin is a digital currency that solves the problem for those looking for financial freedom.
Well actually Bitcoin was initially created for those looking for financial sovereignty, privacy and max security, direct peer to peer payments, and then it evolved into a lot of things, a form of investment, a tool for international payment, a store of value and many others.

And honestly, there’s no guarantee that bitcoin is gonna be around forever, but at the same time, we don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon, so yeah bitcoin is probably gonna stick around for quite a long time but there’s not tell of just how long that’ll be.

Nothing comes close to the ideals of BTC.

That's why it won't be gone or become unrelevant Grin

This question kept on passing through the pages of my heart , I know a lot of people will be curious about what I have to say . Bitcoin as been existing for a long period of time and have gain ground to some extent that fading away will be very hard . Bitcoin cannot be compare to other platforms that started but at the end was later capsize. I assure you that you can keep investing , your BTC are safe . Do not allow any individual to deceive you that Bitcoin is about to end .
What your view on this ;
Will Bitcoin fade way .
Bitcoin will not disappear, but it is still possible to replace it for some of the most serious reasons (currency failure). So far, the popularity of Bitcoin is no longer in doubt, but when you plan to invest in Bitcoin, you must not forget any risks. Bitcoin is a risky investment asset, especially when you entrust your assets to be stored on a third-party platform without you controlling the keys. Price volatility is the most obvious risk you must accept immediately after you decide to invest, and you must also consider that regulations can change at any time.

In essence, I agree that Bitcoin will not disappear, but there are many things you should pay attention to when you invest in it. If you advise someone to invest, then remember that bitcoin also contains some risks that can make you lose money even though it is usually due to user error.

Bitcoin fades away? That’s like asking if coca-cola will ever disappear. Someone will always drink it, even if Pepsi invents a better formula  Grin

If not for forcefully and rebranding of Coca-Cola, do you think they will still stand in the market. Unlike Bitcoin, it has never been rebrand, no test was change and last I check Soda company hide things from people, those drinks are not healthy for the body but Bitcoin isn't like that, there is no single place on Bitcoin that is unhealthy except if you are the type that doesn't know what Bitcoin is about and how Bitcoin actually works, the type that doesn't take eye from money.

Bitcoin will not fade, that's the least thing I will expect from Bitcoin. We may see slow growth of price but I don't want to assume that Bitcoin will fade away. Even if we had it in short period of time, I expect the fade to disappear as soon as Bitcoin bull run return. Some people don't like Bitcoin but when they see the hype is back, traders from different market comes back to Bitcoin to make money. That fade will never work in Bitcoin as long as bull run remains.

Yeah, I think we’re basically saying the same thing, just from different angles Wink
The Coca Cola thing wasn’t about rebranding or hiding stuff, it’s more about how people just stick with something. You get used to it, it becomes normal, and even if something else pops up, it doesn’t just vanish.
Bitcoin’s kinda like that. No CEO, no marketing team, no constant changes, but it’s still the one everyone measures everything else against. Makes the idea of it “fading away” pretty unlikely.
Price will go up and down, people will come and go, a lot only show up during bull runs. Doesn’t mean Bitcoin is disappearing, it just means the hype is louder than the actual use sometimes.
So yeah, I’d say it’s safe. Bitcoin doesn’t need everyone to care, it just needs to keep doing its thing.

That's the wrong way to describe Bitcoin, linking it to Coca-Cola. Bitcoin might not fade away, even if, in the coming years, something tries to replace it. We will address it for what it is and not bitcoin. We can’t say bitcoin cash is Bitcoin because it forked out from bitcoin nor can we say Eth is another bitcoin because its developer got the idea after bitcoin creation was successful and popular.

I get what you’re saying, I didn’t mean the Coca Cola thing literally. It’s not about copying or forks, it’s more about how some stuff just sticks. People get used to it, trust it, and even when other options pop up, it doesn’t just vanish.
Bitcoin feels like that. No one runs it, no marketing push, no constant changes, but it’s still the one everyone checks against. When I said “fades away,” I just meant losing attention or relevance, not being replaced by forks or other coins Smiley

If the internet were to disappear completely from the world as it once did, then concerns about this would only arise. The loss that would occur would be the amount still available from the total of 21 million. If that happened, the scarcity of Bitcoin would make a difference to Bitcoin. People would need and continue to search for Bitcoin, but the price might not be the same as it is today. That is when people would become more aware of why they need Bitcoin as an investment asset if it cannot be used as a currency.

Bitcoin will always be safe if the owner can protect and safeguard it properly, as the responsibility lies not with others but with the Bitcoin owner.
Elon Musk prepared for that digital catastrophe by developing Starlink that works well and has proven its capacity massively since the war of Russia against Ukraine in 2022 as well as in latest severe Internet shutdown by Republic of Iran since January 2026. It's Satellite Internet, so if your saying does not include Satellite Internet, there is solution for such time already.

Six years ago, during the pandemic and lockdown, there was a topic [Total privacy Bitcoin]: off grid Transactions LoRaWan/goTenna with solutions for Bitcoin off-grid transactions.

The future you mentioned possibly is more severe than that with something occur from the Solar, the universe, not simply from governments but let's agree with each other that in such times, will Internet and Bitcoin still be important with us.

And when all these concerns arise, it is possible that other options will be created as solutions so that Bitcoin can continue to move forward.
I agree with Elon Musk and his Starlink, which has become a solution when a country shuts down all internet access, as in Iran, even though some people are steering the opinion towards politics regarding Iran's strategy to detect something they want.
I think that's too far removed from what we're discussing here about the future of Bitcoin.

It's not too good to rely on Starlink too much as well..

Because if he wants to - Starlink will just be turned off because of the reasons that we won't know - due to the whims of those that control it Grin

Will Bitcoin fade way .

I don’t think Bitcoin will fade away. Just like stocks, which have existed for hundreds of years and many people still widely traded it today, Bitcoin is still in its early phase in my opinion. Many people still don’t know much about Bitcoin even people around me. They only know about stocks and trading gold if Bitcoin were to fade away, I’m pretty sure it would still be honored by many people, perhaps even with museums dedicated to it.

The answer is no, Bitcoin will not fade away. The only problem is that the trust on it may quickly change if it continues the way it does. The bear season is expected by bitcoiners who are not self-deceivers, it has been like this every 4 years. I am not surprised that it is falling so fast, it should have started in 2025 if Bitcoin's community is not strong. That is Bitcoin for you, it will run its course, it doesn't care about influeners and speculators, it's determined.

Those people who are fully aware about this happening could be having their buy at the start of the bull run and sell when they detect a dump. The dump happens 1 year after halving and could be more than 18 months after the halving. The sell duration will last for another 1 year + some months before Bitcoin is safe to buy again. The bull and bear time understanding will not make Bitcoin fade, but those who do not know about it or are too afraid may quit. The world is still learning the bitcoin.
