Your application for self exclusion was still in progress but you went ahead to deposit money into your account, if you were serious concerning the self exclusion you shouldn't have deposited money knowing fully were that you're trying to wuot for a while. So it's your fault afterall, moreover I don't think you'll consider suing them or querried them for allowing you deposit to your wallet while you applied for self exclusion.

Lol, you are blaming the OP, what if he was just testing to see whether the self exclusion actually worked or not. I can understand his enthusiasm to see that what he applied for actually worked or not. You said the casino was still processing his request before he made another deposit, how about he try it again and see if they have finally concluded in approving the request. He should give us feedback if he tries it again.

I don’t know for sure how laws will cover this but if you willingly went there to gamble then it’s still your responsibility even if you’ll say you previously requested for a self-exclusion. I know self-exclusion works for this kind of things but I doubt if this is something they can get sued for.

You cannot. They have not yet confirmed the self-exclusion, so you are not going to win the case or even just get the money back.

There must be proof that they accepted the self-exclusion that was requested by you, and you are not able to access their gambling site anymore. You fell into a trap, and you bit it. All that's to blame is just you. It may sound harsh, but that is the truth. It's obvious when they offered you a VIP rank, it means they want you to play again so that you will lose more or they are trying to feed your gambling problem so that you will cancel the request for self-exclusion.
