When I was in secondary school those days when ever is break period we will start singing, Givers never lack, Givers never lack, Givers never lack, if them lack who go give.
What the song means is that givers will never lack because if they should lack who will give, I believe this world is structured in a way that those who are always giving will never lack and even if they should lack it won’t take long for them to raise again because the world it self needs people that can give in other for the world to work properly but if you are a giver you need to give with caution because this day’s people are very wicked they just want to beg without working those set of people I will never give them, I can only give to people who are really in need who are not known as a beggar.

Have you ever given to an ingrate or an ungrateful person? Lol Mate you might even swear never to help people anymore, except you’re selflessly just involved in the act of giving and don’t really care about what others think or say about you.

I have this one friend, we’ve been friends since childhood and we did almost everything together but you know how life is, while we grew up, we chose our separate parts but this didn’t change how I felt about this dude, I literally considered him like my brother and when he was at his lowest, countless times I’ve come to his aid, I even supported his family on several occasions too, but can you believe this dude isn’t talking to me now, we are literally in the same city now and we don’t speak, even when we bump into each other, he acts like I since exist and I don’t even know the reason why. Not like I need those favours to be reciprocated by him or I need him to be indebted to me, hell no, but treating me like a total stranger is just being ungrateful IMO.

In this life, you come, and you go. No one should be held accountable because he did not turn up for you, while you did when you had the chance. The reason for giving is for you to give freely, and expect nothing in return that is giving. Giving and expecting something in return is not giving, it is loaning.

However, it is a good virtue to return help to someone generous to you. It must be come from the heart, not as if you are repaying a debt.

Nothing should be seen as small when it comes to giving though I do not support giving and expecting something back in return that's not the essence of giving in the the first place cause you don't give to people who you expect to give you back because it's no longer giving but if you must give you should give freely and expect reward from your maker. People who turn up for you in your dark moments it's good you reciprocate back in return if you are in the position to help but if you are not it should not be a problem and nobody should make it a force.

Or let me rephrase, giving genuinely from the heart believing you are helping the needy could be joyous but does not have to expect payback and don't even try to suffocate those you are helping.
some also steals the right of who they are helping in directly.
It is said that blessed is the one that gives than the ones that takes. Believing there is love in sharing, giving should be immeasurable and appreciated no matter how small it is weight.
Appreciations is also a kind gesture.

Generosity isn't a bad thing, but for me, I have limit on how I help people, this is not coming from the angle of stingy but I have been in a position were I helped someone but anytime I need help and I call same person I helped I  practically get any help from them, in this our society if people finds out that you're a giver, they bill you without thinking that you have your own responsibility to also meet, I have come across an ungrateful person after that day I regretted helping the person, helping people is a good gesture but know your boundaries.

Everything we do in this life, we are supposed to learn to have boundaries and limitations to ourselves so we don’t bite more than we can chew in the name of helping others. I used to be in this condition before when I will give up on myself just to make the next person happy because they came asking out for help. The most time I’ve done such, I have equally realized the importance of setting limitations to how you give people and it is also advisable not to give what you cannot afford because if you do so, you will end up hurting yourself to make the person happy and it does not make any sense to me honestly speaking.
