Edit feature for correction of username wrongly typed

Hy, BTT users I don’t know if there is an edit feature for correction of username as you can see i my username was supposed to be livinglegend but mistakenly spelts as livingleged I don’t know how I can correct that or there is no way I just have to handle the situation and continue using it that way?

There is no such feature from users' end that allows you to edit the username, unless what you can do is contact admin and convince them to help you do it and if they do, what will only change is the display name. The same error-spelled username, will still be the same name used to access your account on the login page.

You can't edit your username yourself only the admins can edit it for you. You'll have to PM them but you'll likely only get a reply if you have a decent rank here which shows you've contributed to the forum in some ways else it's of no use. Considering your rank the chances you'll get a reply is very thin.

If you see the name too bad you can create another account with the new name you want the one without the mistakes

1. You should have created a new account back then on realizing you made an error. I don't think you would feel any “loss”.

2. The Livinglegend username is already taken up. There is another account with the same username ( livinglegend) so let's say the admin even accepted your request, it's still impossible for you to get the same username.

Perhaps you should just let it be.

You really just have to give up that account and create a new one. Editing an account isn’t a good idea since your account name is already your identity here, especially if you’ve done trades or transactions on the forum. It would be too risky for the people you deal with if they suddenly don’t know you changed names.

This kind of feature is also something scammers would easily take advantage of, which is probably why it doesn’t exist in the first place.

You can not change your account username by yourself if you are not a forum VIP member that requires 50 BTC donation. In addition, the forum no longer needs bitcoin donations.

It is a typo when you registered your account and you only realized it after that. Your account is useless now by new age, no contribution, no high rank and together with almost impossible to change the username, it's best and easiest to abandon this account, then create a new account with your wanted username Livinglegend.

Usernames are not case-sensitive.
Therefore, since someone has already created the username "livinglegend", there is no way to create a new account with the username of Livinglegend, LivingLegend or other variations.

That would encourage rampant impersonation and fraud, so it's not possible. If you want to prove this, just get a throwaway email and try to create a new account with the same username as yours but in lowercase – "seriouslygiveaway".

There's no such feature for users to personally edit their forum username by themselves.
You must make request to the Theymos the forums bitcointalk community admin on his Pm and he'll have to prove it because you proceed but this process isn't usually granted.
I'll advice that you don't get distracted of your ambition here because of inappropriate registratered username.
Many users had experienced such but moved on with their interest in the forum but if you feel uncertified to be here because of the mistake in your username, then you should just hope to create a new one and abandone this one because you'd neither not have the access to delete the acocunt.

Forum is full of principles and sensitive. Just be careful with other activities as long you're here.

There’s no option for that the only way is for you to PM the admin his the only person to change it for you, some persons in this forum has changed their username here in this forum before and one of the reasons why they succeeded was because their account was a very reputable account that has built trust in the forum over the years but your account is still new and you are not a reputable member and you have not also contributed meaningfully to this forum so if I should be very honest with you the admin will not listen to your pleading so I will advise you create another account as it is not against the forum rules or you can just use your account the way it is, I see nothing wrong with it.

If that’s been the case, it will be best to lock the thread to avoid it being flooded with either repeated replies or suggestion that you might not need..

I don’t see anything wrong with the name spelling it’s just a little omission which anyone who look at the name might still clearly see what you try to write there.
