You are right, the issue of chasing losses is no longer something new to all gamblers but still gamblers still choose to continue doing same mistakes even as they keep getting the same results which is more losses, there is nothing bad if a gambler decides to try a different person to apply his own strategy after losing but the process of continuing a particular mistake you don't expect to get a different result of not what you had before.

Actually, it has more to do with gamblers not being able to accept their losses and trying to repair their mistakes by doubling down on what caused them in the first place, which is gambling betting their initial budget.
I doubt there is dopamine involved in the chase of losses, because most gamblers do not actually enjoy chasing losses, it is actually a painful and stressing process in most of the occasions they have found themselves doing so. You know...

I once warned my addicted friend to control himself more, because he told me that his money turnover on the casino site had reached 50,000$, another time he once told me also that his car was the result of gambling he said.

Not sure losing while chasing losses is something new but something that has been in existence for as long as gambling as existed and the results has never been different instead it's a cycle that is repeated but however greed is humans varies and it's quite one reason anyone who has a higher percentage of greed will keep trying to get everything back than developing something new and different. So even when I see threads warning same people I'm not always in agreement with it because sure they already knew what they are doing.

Because that is their business, if there are no more gamblers then there won't be any revenue from them.

So, it's a service based business and anyone who's get to hooked into gambling gives the benefit to the casino.

They want us to gamble more because they need to profit more. And those gamblers that are struggling with regret, it's their personal problem.

The casinos have never forced us to gamble and we did it out of our free will. I think it's wrong to blame that to the casinos.
