We shouldn't be fearful, Developing Ai technology means it will take over the Jon's which are done better off by Ai machines with higher efficiency, this will lead to the creation of new jobs that Ai can't do. The answer is simple, be adaptive with the new tech and learn it parallel with your current skills. Most AI tools in real workflow turned out to be more annoying than useful half of the time. Then you get closer to exhaustion because the discourse just never stops and every week there's a new thing that's going to save us, or end us. I'm somewhere between being cautious and curious.

The "adapt or die", underneath it assumes human worth is basically economic. What you're worth is what you can produce. If the machine can make it cheaper then what are you even for? So it's a really impoverished way of thinking to be a person.

AI cannot eradicate human jobs just like machines in the industrialization era didn't eradicate all the human workforce so if AI has taken over your job or you can foresee that in no distant future it will take over your job what you will do is look for a job or skills that AI cannot takeover. Most of these jobs would be physical because AI intelligence cannot manually paint a house or manually do construction works, you can consider going into agriculture because AI cannot do the manual requirements.

Problem would be when robots will be created and designed to do most manual jobs that is when people can start to actually worry because AI and robots will steal all the jobs.
