I know that there is so much panic in the market due to the fact that the price of bitcoin fell from the ATH of $126k to where it is now (below $70k) but a real bitcoin investor sees this DIP as a time to buy bitcoin at lower price unlike when the price was extremely high above $100k. If you bought bitcoin when the price was $100K and you still buy the DIP now that the price is below $70k, it means that when the price starts to increase again and reaches that price that you first buy, you must have gotten some profits from the DIPs you bought so there is really no need to sell at lost.

Well, thanks for the advice still, but for me, this isn't the bottom for Bitcoin. It can still go to as low as $50,000 or even lower to up to $30,000. I'm not saying that it will happen this time, but it might happen in the future. Because of this, I have no plans of accumulating Bitcoin back when it was still at the $90,000 and even at the $100,000 because I believed that we might enter the bear market this year, and it did - way earlier than I expected.

I wonder though how those investors who bought at the peak or near the peak are reacting right now? Are they disappointed with their decisions? Are they regretting that they bought at the top because some random people online told them to do so? Are they panicking because their portfolio is down double-digit currently? I just hope that they're okay, and it's Bitcoin at the end of the day so if you will ask me, it's better to just hold it until the next bull run year happens which might happen in... 2029.

All those short position open interest must be very juicy to liquidate for the market to have a dead cat bounce. After all current OI is 1:10 for long against short position.

If Bitcoin reaches the lowest price earlier this year, it might be quite good for the end of the year or next year. Although the market will need a strong push to change the market trend, I guess it will definitely require a fairly long market accumulation to recover to the previous price. If we reach the bottom price immediately, we might need a longer time to recover. The market could move sideways for quite a while. We may not have reached the lowest price yet, Bitcoin could rise again and then have a deeper decline.

To me, these moments represent the test of conviction, when everything is going up, it's easy to be confident, however, it is when the price drops that will determine if you actually know what you purchased or if you were simply purchasing because of the hype surrounding an asset. It's not really a surprise while the bull has been showing sign of weakness for quite a long time. It can't breakthrough and just stuck with the resistance meaning there is a big supply zone at $120k. When that happens, people tend to sell at lower because their sell wall isn't being hit.

Well, let's look at it this way. If you bought around $90-100k, the paper losses will be realized ONCE you sell it. So technically, you don't have losses but only in USD form ^{(if that is what matters to you)}

I get the mindset that you can sell now and wait a little bit more, but it would be hard to time the market. Imagine waiting so long and then realizing you have been in a better position all along. It goes both ways, and it would really be hard to predict.

The lesson ^IMO here is that if you believe in BTC's long-term, it should be okay. It's better to HODL and avoid realized losses, but if you need the money, you should use it accordingly. Everyone can say all the things they want, like

I just checked the market Bitcoin is currently as $68,000 this means the market is still falling and nobody knows how long the market will keep on falling. If you bought Bitcoin when Bitcoin was at $100k or $90k what is the point selling it right now when you have already lost about 20k dollars or more, You'll be at disadvantage selling so why not just keep on holding for this next two to three years until we get to another bull market after the halving has being completed, Bitcoin never fails it's investors, the market will continue to increase it does not matter how long it takes therefore all you need is patience. Just continue holding since you are already late to selling unless it is a money that you want to use for something very urgent but if you use the money you are supposed to use for something very urgent to invest in Bitcoin you have already done a wrong investment.
