Consistency and strategies which one owns the key of gambling?

Today their was a heavy argument over a match being watch today ,due to how the argument is so serious I decided to bring the argument here for interested and intelligent bettors and those that watch footballs to help
To me consistency is the key to gambling, though you have to strategies in many ways but to me I told them that consistency owns the key to gambling,what someone is doing Everytime you are being consistent in it ,and it will make more wave to win , though strategies is inside consistency,now this is the argument looking at it this are two different words with different meaning.

Consistency without strategy will result to numerous losses and in gambling we should use the word consistency as that is not advisable I mean how would someone said they are consistent in gambling to me it sound's crazy because there is higher probability of turning an addict and why been consistent on something that winning is not certain?  As much as I believe having strategy is good in anything we do I will also inform you that strategy and consistency put together without luck is nothing in gambling.

In the case of betting, consistency and strategy cannot bring win but both convey positive importance for winning in betting. If there is consistency, the gambler will definitely win, if not today but tomorrow. Some gamblers take a break from gambling when they lose, but naturally if they can be consistent in betting, then they will win. Again, we cannot ignore strategy because if there is no strategy, the chances of losing will also increase. Both are necessary in betting, but I give more priority to luck in gambling. If there is no luck, then I will never win.

And at the same time, consistency can equally be the downfall of a gambler. Wins are never assured, and there’s no guarantee that if you keep going you’ll definitely win. And one thing about being consistent isn’t just about winning, but winning a sizeable amount that’ll be enough to either recover the losses or make up for the losses, so most time consistency after repeated losses is more like chasing losses and this isn’t a good path to tread on. Even if you manage to win after several trials, that’ll still be nothing compared to what you’ve spent chasing that win, and then this is point where some gamblers still use their wins to chase a much bigger win and we all know where this is most likely to end.

I don't think OP should encourage anyone to be consistent in other to win in gambling, it's a wrong advice and we should desist from it if you're being consistent in gambling. It will ruin your life instead of bettering yourself with other things that are profitable.

Some gamblers gamble for money, others for fun. You can't blame either one just because you don't agree, but honestly there is no gambler who doesn't aim for a win. If the focus of gambling is for money, then a gambler will try everything including finding strategies and building the best approach to win, but basically getting rich from gambling is almost impossible for average gambler.

The main purpose of the gambling industry is to be a place of entertainment for anyone who needs it, but most gamblers become greedy just because of the illusion of big wins even though the odds are very low. Even a gambler who does it for fun also aims to win, but they know the limits so that they will not harm their finances beyond the limits.

Thank goodness I read your entire post, I read the first line and I was like “oh! Someone finally agrees that consistency helps” and I was intrigued to read more and see how that worked but discovered that you’re just of the same opinion as us.

In gambling if you keep pouring money into gambling thinking it will increase your chance of winning, you’ll only end up losing more, gambling winning isn’t guaranteed and that alone is enough to tell you that consistency won’t help you here, you’ll only just be consistent in losing your money and that’s all.

This is where the argument started,but with all due respect did you know that consistency is the key of anything,the more you are being consistent in all your endeavors that's how you are being familiar in what to do, someone who play football tens years ago and someone who has been playing from that ten years another person gave up,how do you compare and contrast them,you will see a big difference in their move in the field ,this is exactly what happened when I was watching match,this is just the argument.
I think and I believe that being consistent matters a lot in gambling or football.

I think we should know where and when to draw the line. Because being consistent in something makes you better doesn’t mean it will always work for everything you do. In gambling the results are not certain and even an expert in football can still experience losing streaks so for something like gambling that isn’t guaranteed or doesn’t have a pattern that needs to be learned, being consistent there wouldn’t do you too good.

Yes, you’ll be good at the sport, you’ll have decent knowledge of the sport but when it comes to translation into winning that’s where the problem comes.

Personally, I’m of the opinion that there really isn’t any true strategy when it comes to betting because betting is inherently unpredictable and no matter how much someone studies or plans, there is no way to guarantee a win. People talk about strategies and patterns but at the end of the day outcomes are largely based on chance, luck, and factors beyond anyone’s control but i will argue consistency in how you approach it matters and the discipline in managing your bankroll and knowing your limits also.

I think betting itself is less about outsmarting the game and more about managing risk and making responsible choices, anyone who thinks they can fully control the outcome through strategy is setting themselves up for huge disappointment, i have l always felt the best approach is understanding the unpredictability, staying disciplined and treating betting as entertainment rather than a guaranteed source of profit because it is certainly not.

Also strategies can be good to new gamblers but the strategies can fail them and they will lose more than what they think they can not lose.

I prefer to gamble in a way that I am not consistent with it but also much strategies are not needed for me. If it is football, I only make my analyses. If it is casinos, I just play the games without any strategy.

Good points, some people won't really agree to the fact that consistency can be very dangerous when it comes to gambling, they think that when they don't give up and keep trying over and over again they will end up getting a good result from it but gambling doesn't actually work that way. The thing is, developing a strategy on your own is extremely difficult, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. In fact, that's exactly what I've been doing in gambling for the past few years. I try to maximize certain aspects of the game; for example, I've started choosing the best odds from those offered on a particular match I've analyzed. Careful analysis and seeing what most players don't see are also key to the success of our strategy. I try to see and find subtle nuances in matches and players. If I find something, the likelihood of betting on it increases. These are just some of the things I can use in my strategy, and of course, I'm constantly improving it, although no one can guarantee my success.

However, if you try to keep consistency in all bets or in casino games, then the chances of you losing are very high. Consistency will lead you to deep losses. Perhaps luck will come to you if you bet consistently. But you also need to consider your approach in placing bets; analysis will surely improve if you engage in learning that enhances your knowledge about certain sports. To be consistent, you need to have confidence every time you place a bet. And to be confident, you must have ability. You cannot consistently bet if you lack ability, unless you have money that is endless to gamble with.

I only think consistency can be the key of gambling if you understand by that sticking to your preset limits and strategy. I mean, not changing your initial idea on the fly, improvising, because that often leads to bad decisions. If you mean consistency in learning is key when we talk about games based on skills, like poker, then you can be right too, because casual gamblers will most likely lose to more experienced ones; but apart from these cases, consistency can be confused with stubbornness, which is the last thing you want in games where you have the odds stacked against you and few options to influence the outcome.

Consistency is one of the basic factors that leads to winning because if you're a gambling and you are not consistent in betting you can't win a substantial amount no matter how good and perfect you can be in strategies, though the only effect of being consistent is that you will loose more because in bid of gambling and trying to be consistent so you can win that's how you will be loosing money too if you are unlucky to win.

Without strategies, one can still win games due to the luck that shines on the individual though both are important because you can be consistent and without proper knowledge of odds, stats and team performances you won't win, the only added advantage been strategic has over consistency is that if you can carefully strategies a game you can win without having to play consistently and be loosing money in course of it in other to win, you can hit once and win with proper strategies, so as for me strategies is very important than being consistent.

To me, both skill and consistency are very important in gambling. Every gambler needs some kind of skill to help them win. Wins are not usually guaranteed, but if they are consistent, they may win someday. But unfortunately, consistency comes with a cost; more losses.
