Signs you do while gambling

I don't get the purpose of those signs, are they involuntary movements you make after losing? because if they are your body cannot just control itself. if it is something you do on purpose then you are the one coming up with such signs, as for me I don't really do any of that. Whenever I end up losing any game I simply move on and accept my losses without showing off any sign to anyone suggesting I lost.

I remember once I broke my LED screen over an upset moment while watching the match but apart from that I have memories of shattering the keyboards, nothing serious though.

Oh well, I don't do any kind of signs using my hands while I am gambling but my facial reactions do change.
I don't believe in crossing fingers like some people do but obviously your facial reactions change according to your bet outcome.
When I win I kinda smile and when I lose I kinda raise my eyebrows and that's all the thing I do while gambling.

Making signs or prayers before or while gambling is as a result of habit it's not something that is learnt while gambling, you will realize that such a gambler that makes signs or prays when gambling does the same thing in similar activities. If you're not a prayerful person or you don't make any religious or habitual signs you won't think about it while gambling. I don't know if prayers work in gambling, if you win it is by luck yet I believe that luck can turn around for a gambler's sake to take care of some emergency that needs urgent cash, it can happen but rarely. This is just my thought.

This is embarrassing, but here goes... It's not directly related to gambling but I also used to place bets on my favorite sports team at the same time. When I was in high school and freshman in college, I used to kiss the badge on the jersey of my team before match kick offs, thinking that would bring them luck. I am not an idiot. I obviously know that it has no affect on anything. It was just a tradition I adopted somehow and kept doing it for a long time. Laying out the scarf on my bed sometimes was also part of that tradition.

I dont consciously remember if i do these gestues you mentioned but perhaps i do other signs, i cant really remember (oh thumbs up), something when a victory enter or so i just give life a thumbs up or after a win, i just always say "GGs" which means "Good Game" just something i normally say after a good game back then, i guess some of these gestures just end up becoming part of routine we create, whether knowingly or unknowingly.
In some ways it is actually good because it motivates us ultimately although it doesnrt really affect the outcomes but it adds to just things we do to get ourselves pumped either midway or at the end against the next round

Probably not all the time, but sometimes I do the yes sign i guess, like a fist and just drop the elbow on your torso, only if it was a clutch win or a huge amount of wins.

Most of the time I dont really do any signs, more like on the face I guess, just having the look of annoyance, especially if I'm losing the bet or the game, most of the tim,e I guess, then just get energetic when I continue on winning the bet. Probably this was more like the celebrations, I mean, we all have different celebrations when we win for sure, and it is also going to be different when you're just betting alone or you are with your friends or with someone, it was just different when you want to be proud of that win. Still doesn't matter a lot since it's still a game of luck, not going to increase your chances of winning, but might make you keep your positivity.

Totally random but usually i would be having that kind of banging up the table if i do able to have those near misses hit. Most of the time i do play with luck based games like slots or dice on which these kind of situation on where it would be having that emotion that looks like a roller coaster. You wouldnt be able to do this when you are doing sports betting on which we know that the duration on knowing the result would be that too long but you would be having these kind of possible reactions is on the time that you are watching live with your sports betting and having those baskets, scores etc.. will definitely give out those kind of gesture. Speaking about sports betting scoring moments then there would be that involving some shouting like "hell yeah" but once the opponent would be able to make out some score then this is where curse comes out into your mouth. 

Actions/Sayings/Gestures would be  that might different on each person but the known ones would be that someone common on which its normal. As long you do have some fun on doing gambling then i dont see any issues with these things.

I don't usually do any signs with my hands when I gamble, however it is true I have some time caught myself crossing my fingers in order to improve my luck while playing dice.

It has only happened to me once or twice, when I was having a bad luck streak and wanted to recover some of my money. It was kind of an involuntary reflex I had at those moments. It has not happened to me again since I had decided to be more strict with myself and my gambling budget.

Perhaps it is more common for people to express themselves physically while gambling when they do so on brick-and-mortar casinos, instead of online casinos.

I do shake my head sideways from left to right and back showing that I got it wrong. Apart from that I don't make any signs. You were doing that to cross finger gesture to give you hope of winning your next bet. If I have lost three consecutive games, I use to be careful of not falling into the trap of chasing losses.

I guess this sign is commonly used by everyone including non gamblers, it expresses total or absolute disappointment in something. But I don't really like showing off signs when gambling because it might give people around you an idea of what is going on and there's no point in putting them on such idea or information. And if any gambler gets to this point it means he is gambling irresponsibly.

I believe making signs like in OP is just superstition and I dont think it can influence game in any way.

I dont make any signs (at least consciously), maybe subconsciously I make some tic thst Im unaware of...

Why are people misunderstanding the post? He never said these gestures have any effect on the outcome of the game.

Most of these gestures are done unconsciously. Mine is that I unknowingly cross my toes when I am under tension. Maybe when I am expecting an outcome in a game, I would have to take a posture or gesture that helps me to withstand the pressure. I celebrate my wins by smiling and raising my two hands up in victory.

I do the sign of the Cross like catholics do and hey! I am not a Catholic. I just learnt that from friends when I was a child to do that sign to escape from any form of misfortune. I don't know if that actually works, but sometimes, I escape from trouble and sometimes I still meet trouble. I guess it is just a coincidence, it doesn't really work.

For gambling, I do that unconsciously and whatever wants to happen still happens. It doesn't really change anything.

I'm literally not the type who believes that signs have a unique role to play in affecting the outcome of either a casino or sport games, as I rarely give meaning to that, despite the fact that I might make certain signs that I'm not aware of subconsciously due to joy and happiness when I win a bet or when my favorite club scores a goal during a live match. So when it comes to the "fist bump" sign, that's equally a sign most people make when they either score a goal or win a bet. But on a general scale, apart from signs gamblers make while chasing loses and when winning is the mood of the gambler too, because in both scenarios, both sad and happy modes is what you can actually easily notice when I'm losing and when I'm recovering.

for signs, I am more inclined to nodding my head and biting my lips. If I'm loosing more than expected, I'm biting my lower lip and when I've had it up to my neck I nod continuously sideways in disapproval and cease to continue gambling for the session.

When I'm on a winning streak I nod vertically in celebration and leave out a bit of a smile. The only times I experience your second gesture is when I win a substantial money from my bet slip and I'm like "Eureka" and I always do so with both hands .

I think it's more like an expression, not a sign. But if you are asking about what I do while gambling, it depends on the result. If I win, I dance and sometimes do some push-ups, but usually I dance and clap.

If I lose, it's just nothing, or my expression looks frustrated. I don't know, but I think that's a normal human thing to do when they lose. I do the finger cross only on sports betting and lottery.

i never take cognisance of what I do or what gesture I do when I'm gambling but I'm sure I don't make may gesture basically I think what gesture you make is solely based on how you do make gestures unconsciously so it's not the gambling but am unconscious behaviour which you have cultivated over the years, just like someone usually using the word YO" and when something happens or maybe they are playing an online game and the opponents does something against them "YO" will automatically be the reaction hence you have a habit already of making gesture not because you are gambling.

What I can tell from what I've seen from many gamblers in my locality are insults and not gestures. They would rain insults when the team they bet on failed to deliver their bets. They would insult the players for missing goal-scoring opportunities or for picking a red card that eventually made them lose the match and the bet. I know it hurts, especially when money is involved, but abusing the players or giving gestures is just pointless.

Gesture + Body movements are just my thing though not all the times I just wished I could have recorded those moments where I screamed untop of my voice or did the first bump anytime I win ... Just last week I was so excited after some wins I made even though it was not all that huge. But then I was still so happy coz prior to that win, I was just hitting series of losses, and those losses really saddened me, both physically and mentally...But when lady luck finally found me and got me a win, Omoor my joy knew no bound, I didn't even know when I ran my fist through the wall and got an injury in the process, but all I saw is as was an injury of joy..

I do the fist bump very often, most especially when I am waiting for a last-minute goal, and they actually scored the goal for me to win the bet.
I dont think of anyother sign, except for the sounds and screams made when I either win or lose a game. That's all I think.
