Lol, good you know this signs don't make any difference in gameplay because many a times, I find myself doing any of this signed even while I am not gambling..

About crossed fingers, the honest truth is that the only time I find myself cross fingers is in chat, that is, when I am chatting with someone and they are up to something they don't know what the outcome will be, the let them know I am wishing them well and all the best, I send them the crossed fingers emoji.

And about the fist bump, I find myself do this as well when ever I am gambling and winning, but I also do this when ever I am watching a sports game like a football match and the team I am supporting scores a goal, I fist bump hard while screaming 😵😲 gooooaaaaaal😂

These gestures are what we see on a norms even out of gambling. Those two are just an expression of high anticipation for an outcome whether it’s going well for you or going the other way round. Maybe when next time I want to play a game, I will calm down to take note of how I do the gestures because I don’t even know how my gesture are while playing any game. Other gestures may be very different as their gestures are very catchy and funny, so I can remember them and not how I gesture while playing.

When people feel uncomfortable and they are losing money it means that they will resort to all kind of staff to make them feel better, I am not superstitious at all yet sometimes I started doing weird shit and I was saying "God help me" when hitting the spin button despite knowing that God does not permit gambling in many religions that we have in the world right now yet it made me feel really good and strange enough I have even won some money doing so. Of course overall it was a lost cause because the slot machines are programmed to drain your money and the best providers are those who never make you mad, meaning they take your money very slow as if they took it directly I and many others would get mad and directly push the self ban button in any casino. Most providers though are crazy and I have yet to know one that drains your balance slowly.

If i accidentally do something like make too high bet, or accidentally roll another round even though i should have quit, i curse out loud. It's not some mumbling but very vocal and very clear and loud. At that point i am not that self aware what rest of my body is doing, but i am not hitting my computer or anything like that. I might point at my finger to underline the mistake.

And by an accident i mean fat fingers, not changing my plan and playing more then with higher bets then planned and blaming accident over it.

I think everyone who gambles has made gestures, and I think it is a normal human reaction. Basically, humans react to events, whether verbally or non-verbally, especially in gambling. Personally, I also make non-verbal reactions (gestures) when I am experiencing good or bad luck in my gambling process. I usually clench my fists when I feel unlucky, or I clap my hands when I feel lucky. Well, maybe everyone has different gestures for each event in their gambling progress, and I think it refers more to conveying emotions about what is happening. By the way, no matter what happens in our gambling, we should be able to control our emotions. When we win, don't overdo it, especially to the point of disturbing others, as that is not good, and the same goes for winning.

When I gamble, I use different signs when I lose and when I win. For example, when I am on a bad streak, I often say fu*ked up, f*ck, these words are pronounced more with my mouth and I put my hand on the table as a sign of my loss, and when I win, in many cases the second image you gave is basically similar, in many cases yuhu comes out automatically with my mouth.
Of course, I will also say that no matter how many signs we use, we can never trust that the personal signs we use will make us win or lose.

I Tend to scratch my teeth against each other, this is what give me the most relief when I am under tension,  most of the time gambler's look for gesture that keep them at their best emotions while awaiting the outcome of their games,  regardless of which game it is their are playing at that point in time, so this is a normal thing for most gamblers and not only peculiar to few set of people but differs in experience and what we do as gambling gesture.

I do not think gestures hold any meaning for us if there is anything attached to them. Although in sports, players do make gestures to celebrate their goals, wins, or even losses, that's just an expression at the moment, and it means nothing but a mere expression of their mood at that moment.

Well, as for me, when I win games, or my team is winning, I just put up my two fingers, making a V shape sign in the air with my two hands up, facing each other, but when it is the other way round I just fold my alms and watch in silence and not say anything till the game or match is over.

May of us don't even pay attention to the kind of signs we often made when gambling except maybe a friend or someone brought our attention to it, i only know that am gambling, but the way i used to behave or react while playing bet may not be so observed by me to that extent, except that henceforth now, i may choose to be paying more attention to each time am gambling and whether a do display some signs or not.

Mine are not signs per se. They are more like words and phrases I utter under my breath. I would sometimes catch myself saying, “please” when the slot wheels is rolling as I am begging it to hit a jackpot. Lol, it doesn’t happen like that. Other people shake nervously and it happens to the best of us whether we are playing responsibly or not. It just happens to be a human subconscious reaction.

The second gesture I do when gambling and in when I win in everything in life, even after finishing eating or having a meal that day either, I use the second gesture often, it's the best and the last and probably the smartest gesture ever, even without explaining what it means, it explains itself to the point viewers doesn't need to ask questions about what happened to your life, it can't be hidden no matter what. I love using that gesture because it speaks volume.

As for the other signs that I do, I don't know if I do such when in actuality. But that's how it goes and it is the same for me.

I will so others when playing slots like holding the mini/minor/grand and scratching it like a genie in a bottle for good luck. Or I know someone who says that he has a lucky coin that he brings in his wallet and when he plays, he put his hands inside and touch it for good luck.

Not actually a sign but more of a superstitious belief by wearing their favorite color when playing inside a casino. Or having someone like a girlfriend that they think she is lucky and so he brings her inside as his lucky charm.

These gestures appear to be the ideal conclusion of all the struggles, we have to go through to gain small or big victories in our everyday life. In fact, no one can sit still while gambling. Many people spend their time gambling in different ways. No one can sit still, especially in my case, I do not sit still while gambling, but instead I keep my head on the table or chair and swing my legs from side to side.

Mine is silence , I become extremely cooled because I got it wrong again , betting is not actually for the weak or faint heart , so the only sign I do is just been quiet and stare at my loses, when I’m extremely quiet my friends knows that  betting site has really dealt with me, but when I win I usually node  my head and smile because I feel I got it right this time around  , and I tell myself you can’t alway be unlucky , then I sleep to refresh my brain .

And people need to understand that but they will still force themselves to gamble, even when they see that they are not really getting what they want there, assuming gamblers are able to control themselves to some extent of knowing when to stop or quit, would help them to enjoy the game without having any emotional attachment to it, that is even if they loss or win, they won’t be affected by it.

I believe making signs like in OP is just superstition and I dont think it can influence game in any way.

But if you are asking about what I do while gambling, it depends on the result. If I win, I dance and sometimes do some push-ups, but usually I dance and clap.

...just like someone usually using the word YO" and when something happens or maybe they are playing an online game and the opponents does something against them "YO" will automatically be the reaction hence you have a habit already of making gesture not because you are gambling.

These are methods the body uses to release tension and thus anxiety. That anxiety comes loaded with the bet you have already placed. Eventually people started calling these signs as superstitions that bring good luck to the person who performs them.

I rarely am doing any of such signs but I end up checking the game a lot more when I have placed the bet there.

For games like dice and blackjack, the result is coming quickly, so no time for doing such things.

This post is one that I can actually relate to since it is common to find silence after a loss amongst many gamblers. When you place a bet that turns out to be wrong, you just shut up and play everything over and take the result. Gambling is not a game that one can play with a weak heart since the pressure that may come with it emotionally is more than the amount of money that gets lost. I also concur that self control is highly significant in betting. Being able to know when to quit, regardless of whether you lose or win, makes gambling an entertainer and not a stressor. Most individuals continue to make themselves engage in gambling even when the outcomes are obviously unfavorable. Separating feelings and emotions out of the betting game and learning to know the limits of gamblers can allow gamblers to have fun in the game without the losses or wins interfering with their psychology.

I can relate to this a lot. Silence is in fact a very common symptom following a bad loss - it is as though your brain is in shock following what has just transpired and is in a bid to cushion itself against further emotional response. The nod of the head, the little smile after victory is also real, not too much of it, but contentedness. The most notable thing in your post is the concept of emotional control. That is the major distinction between amateur gamers and problem gamblers. When a person is too much affected by either wins or losses then it is a cue to withdraw. Gambling is not to be an emotional torture, it is always entertainment, and when it affects your mood, then you should take a break.
