Signs you do while gambling

Why are you phrasing the question like it's some kind of a norm to make hand signs or gestures when losing in order to turn your luck around and win instead? I've never seen or heard about anything like that, if it's something you do then don't make it look like some general stuff everybody does, I don't do it and I certainly do not know anyone who does, it's a bet not some superstitious event where hand signs get me the win when I make them.

I don't even know why someone would have to show a hand guesture to show people that they are either winning or losing.
This is rare and it could happen seldomly to people that are having mental issues and need to stay away from gambling.
People only complain when they are not getting a very good result from gambling or they could either rejoice for winning or stay calm.

Exactly. That's why I don't remember what signs I do, but what I know is that it's always unintentional and has no impact on the game whatsoever. I don't have a specific way of reacting to every win or loss, as I can act very randomly. However, the most common style I use in reacting is when the OP shows a winning position. I sometimes use that style, but for defeats, I don't even have a specific reaction, because the two's facial expressions clearly convey that without me reacting at all.

I'm very curious about having a special reaction like the OP's picture, whether they consistently have that style or not.

The gestures I did when gambling were tapping the table with my finger while waiting for the spin result.  Aside from that, I also tap the table as if I am drumming to sync with the beat of the music I am listening to.

If I get a big win, I clench my fist with excitement and a thought of saying yes! And when my spin gives a bad result, I shake my head as a sign of disappointment.

That's good, buddy. I talked to my friend, he is a doctor, and I asked about it, whether it is good or bad for the body. He said it's completely fine and healthy for your body. It acts like a self hug, which can help you control and tackle your feelings in a good way. However, it can be bad when you hold that crossed finger gesture for hours, as staying in a stressed mood can be detrimental to your heart and will cause obstacles in sleeping. So, take care of yourself and try not to stay in stress mode for a long time. Get something that can change your mind.

I like the idea, but realistically, no one who gambles would want someone else supervising them, simply because this is a game for adults, and none of us need anyone telling us what to do and what not to do, unless you have a partner and you agree to let that person set limits. It's a bit strange, but it's an option. The best thing to do is to control yourself , and not have someone else supervise you , because that would be a bit Awkward.

Never really did physical gestures. I don't think it works and doesn't affect anything in the game. It's most likely to be a "self" thing. To make you feel better, or to make you feel like it's affecting something. It's all superstitious gestures and a lucky charm thing. I don't think it's affecting something. If it works for you, then congratulations.

I think it's high time people realize that there is nothing they can do to actually control gambling outcomes no matter how hard they try. physical gestures might not really be superstition to some people maybe they just do it as a way of responding to losses but one reason why I don't really like such is because you might be giving people a clue to what's going on unknowing to you, whether you like it or not people watch you.

Gestures to reduce perceived tension do seem reasonable. It seems to be a habit that someone actually does unconsciously in any situation, not just in gambling. I also observe my friends when gambling; some tap the table with their fingers, and some bite their nails. Maybe that's their way of relieving tension during the game, or a way to stay focused.

Any way based on the individuals and their beliefs, if you have a particular sign that you do and works for you then it's ok, bit for me, I don't have any sign i do, I just gamble and believe it that my luck will work for me with my strategy, all I do is just being angry with myself if my game is not going as planned.

I have known gamble to be a thing of predictions and luck, even my predictions alone can not guaranteed my winning when I gamble, I don't also believe in spirituality or whatever because I know that gamble has nothing to do with spirituality or some sort of. However if you are doing those things and you are winning, you should continue doing them but don't truth the process because nothing last forever you only have to enjoy it while it last. Stake what you can afford to lose and don't chase your losses believing that when you do those signs you might be able to recover.

One gesture that's very popular to all losers and that's stomping the desk where they're sitting. It's an anger management issue when we do that. Whether it's with sports betting, poker, dice or any other games. We tend to stomp the desk when we're losing and that's a common reaction for most people when they are disappointed with the results because it's real money that we're betting here. And if you can't stop from doing that, just put your fingers across each other before the results come out or while you're watching your favorite basketball or football games.

You were doing that to cross finger gesture to give you hope of winning your next bet. If I have lost three consecutive games, I use to be careful of not falling into the trap of chasing losses.

I just sigh, a lot and move to other things knowing well that the game is gone and there's nothing I can do about it to change the results but just to wait for another time and try my predictions again and see how it goes. I do have an understanding that these gestures doesn't do anything to the situation and I don't wait to have many losses to have the conviction that it's a sign I have to stop as results ain't going in my favour.

The fact that your subconscious mind has been put to force stop itself whenever you are chasing losses is the most important habit you could get, it distracts you from becoming more vulnerable to gambling addiction and keep you on the pedestal of your gambling life.

This is the the best thing you could do to yourself, stopping when the energy is off, not forcing oneself to stay safe.

Those signs actually don't work like the op have also confirmed them on the part of the message which he edited. They are just some random signs which he has found himself very familiar with. Anyone could have different signs, but that does not mean they have an effect or contribution to whether the player will win or not.

Even if we try to look at how we leave our daily life, we are going to discover that there are some things we often do without even paying attention that we do them, such could come in such a way that we easily observe the expression we made while doing them, and it can be that we don't even put more attention to this signs we give in doing things, because we already think about them as a normal way of life and in making expression of ourselves each time we are found doing something.

You know, I'd never noticed. I know I have a habit of lightly biting my cheek, on the inside of my mouth, whenever I get anxious about an important game of the team I support, and sometimes I also tap my fingers continuously on the keyboard, as if I were typing.
