Still aiming for profit in Sports Betting despite losses?

I started betting on sports a little over a year and a half ago, so I haven't lost much money, since I don't make high-stakes bets. I continue because I like the risk, the thrill, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to call it a profitable activity. Certainly, I've lost more than I've won, but that doesn't bother me.

I read one post in which gamblers were advised that they should see gambling expenses as paying for entertainment such as for movies tickets or visiting other recreational centres. When you have such a mindset, your gambling budget will be minimal and you will hardly chase losses. You are enjoying the thrills and fun because you gamble with amounts you can afford to lose. This might not be the case when you overgamble or use more than you can afford to gamble.

It's easier to be at peace when your bankroll is in order,  when you have total control over your mind and it's not affected by losses. I dont look at gambling as a way out of financial issues but rather whatever comes when it comes, no pressure, no matter of urgency.

The way you look at gambling and the way you are gambling, it's safe to say that you are doing what every gambler should emulate if they truly don't want to be traumatized by gambling.

If you gamble with only a small amount and care less about the outcome, and you are ready to accept what ever the game result is then there is never going to be a room where you can have the thought of chasing your losses that can't come in such type of gambling practice.

It is difficult to accept but most times it looks like you are just gambling for fun because of the ratio of loses to win  

No need to chase loses because that is what makes the gambler lose more, just enjoy the low risk you take and it comes out as fun then you are fine even when you don't win. In situations like this, losing becomes fun and winning becomes bonus.

The fact and the feeling that I am not risking more than I can afford to lose is something to keep me going. I know that the gambling market is designed to be a game of trial and error and when luck finds you, you’ll get to win bigger and become better than you were in profits.

I will not say seeing it as an hobby has been what has been pushing me to cling to it despite the losses we tend to encounter along the path. The profits will come, it may not be today or tomorrow but as long as we remain disciplined to the process, it’ll pay off one day. Risk management is a must and abiding by it has kept us in this game for this long.

Because of getting used to that routine of your life when you've been a gambler, you'll always do that because that's what your system in the body and mind tells you to do.

I don't think that it will pay off in the long run. There are gamblers that are casually doing it and I am one of them. It becomes a hobby and whether there's a bit of return or none, I don't mind going on with it. Because those who have been focusing in gambling to profit, they're not the ones who are able to make it. It's hard to aim for the profit when you gamble because it plays a lot of emotions to us that leads us to losing more. And that's why if you think of being profitable in gambling, you better drop that thought and start entertaining yourself.

Entertaining yourself should be the main priority in any matter. In gambling, there is always a profit-loss calculation. But entertaining yourself should be the main objective. Those of us who like to watch sports are mainly more interested in sports betting. Many times it is seen that sports and betting have become mixed with our daily work. So, despite our reluctance, we often bet. You are right, we have no objection to making new bets whether we profit from sports betting or not. I can't remember what's that called when we're aiming for profit, the opposite of the outcome comes. And when we're just having fun and have no intention to profit and just there to get entertained then luck is coming. I have been betting in sports for years now, but not on a regular basis.  I only bet when my favorite team is playing or when i am somehow intrigue by the match up.

The thing that keeps me going on sports betting is my favorite team and the curiousness on certain match up.

Let's say, I'm not completely aiming for profits alone, but the fun and excitement hit different as well, profits already end up as a bonus. But let's be honest here, its still a good and satisfying feeling when you gamble for profits, though not consistent but at least your wins should be bigger than your losses.

If you are also a good bankroll manager, that's a helpful factor to keep you going until these days. Losses are still inevitable with sports betting, but gambling with a positive bankroll adds more drive to keep you going with gambling.

I don't think it was a disciplinary action but they still tried and couldn't let go of it and maybe it applies to what I'm feeling now.

I personally realize that not everything I do in sportsbetting goes very well because there are always unexpected events that make me lose the victory even though it is in sight. But I can't just leave sportsbetting because I have the comfort of being here.
I am a football fan and there will always be a sense of lack when I see a football match let alone a favorite club playing when there is no betting on it.
It might be considered an addiction for others but that's how I feel now because it feels incomplete when there's a club or match worth betting on but I'm not there.

Just control the losses if it's possible while having fun with the bets that we do. It doesn't give that much joy when we're losing and we're blindly recovering all of it. There's no sense anymore that we're trying to recover but obviously, we're losing more instead. So, stick to what you've thought as you gamble before and that's to have fun because not all gamblers that thinking of making a lot of money happens. The reality is even the opposite of it that more sportsbettors are losing money instead of making themselves profitable.

If you can't control your emotions and losses, you don't have any business with gambling, you need to control your emotions, if you can do this then know that you have solved half of your problems with gambling. You will be able to handle anything that comes your way with gambling, you will be making bet and be making money and wouldn't care about anything because you have pass that level where you know it's about money and at the same time it's not about money.

I don't think there is any way you are going to gamble and not make any loss in gambling. It's not possible, you have to accept that fact that is the main reason why casino are established, you make loss and they make momey but at the same time it's your responsibility to want to beat them and make momey in return but it should never be in a way that you are going to be loss on the process, gambling isn't a do or die thing that you must accomplished by force.

With how we control the losses is also the same on how much we set before we gamble. So, that's the amount that we can afford to lose and by control means is that you're not going to add more if ever you've already losing that bankroll. Because what usually happens is even if you have the means to add more to your bankroll and to prolong your stay, you're going to do that but the right thing is that's enough and stop.

Perhaps many enjoy it even without winning all the time, or maybe it's that victories make us forget past defeats. I wouldn't for any day take gambling as a business because they aren't guaranteed way of making an income, it would be that better seeing as a means of catching fun and having to ease oneself from stress. Of course is one thing that keeps man rolling without them having to be excessively become that worried over themselves. However, I believed that one day I must surely win something very pleasing without me becoming that too desperate to win money from gambling.

But in sports betting, we can analyze the game itself and so we could have a big chance or at least 50%++ that we can have a good win in the end. It's not like a luck base game that our chances are slim because of RNG and RTP that we don't have control over win. So maybe some of us who are in the sports betting are really aiming to win more often than losing. We also have one thread here, a NBA bettor with so far 50%++ winning rate. Of course for most of us who have been gambling for many years, we should know when to stop or what kind of money that we are putting. Not those that we might have something to used for other things. In short, we have discipline as far as our budget and not go over with it.

It's more of a hobby and simply a supplement to watching the match. Profit and a super additional source of income are out of the question.The betting equivalent is always about a few beers, so you won't mind losing and if you win, you'll win an extra bet.By conservative estimates, I'm making a profit, but only a small one for all my years and games.Main its football and boxing the sports I understand and enjoy watching.

That's more like keeping faith alive I'll say.
Because sometimes you just have the believe that it'll certainly get to your turn because you are seeing others win it and it feels so real amd realistic.  So that feeling that it will get to you is real and realistic.

Profit in these situations is very difficult, in fact you always have to understand the risk of certain actions, you cannot always consistently win all the bets that are made, for this reason it is difficult to make multiple bets taking into consideration football which will certainly be winning.

That’s really the reason why some people stay consistent, because they know it’s possible to profit, even if it’s difficult. So they keep trying and trying until they finally reach some kind of success. It’s that classic mindset you see in successful people, the idea of not giving up no matter what.

But the difference is, this is done through gambling, and honestly, that’s even harder than running a business with the same goal of being profitable. At least in a business, you have more control over your decisions and strategy. In sports betting, you’re fighting against the reality that majority losses.

I can't beat my chest and tell you how much I have lost so far. If I do then I am lieing since I didn't keep any record of my gambling activities. But gambling for 17 years would have amount to a hug amount though.
Secondly I have already giving up on Gambling, I am not hoping to be profitable with it. Just that as human we don't stop taking risk because not taking risk is the biggest risk ever.

This is very relatable and to avoid chaos,the best thing to do is treat gambling as an entertainment not source of income.Those who believe their next win is this close, obviously gambles for money.You hear things like 'i can't stop now", "just one more time."The psychology behind gambling is what signals the brain how to react and respond wether to halt or continue.
