I have this personal theory that nothing in this life is actually bad, what is bad is the addiction.

I dont really know how to explain that much but if you look at society at large, you will find out that most of the things you do that are generally considered bad in your local environment is probably welcomed somewhere else on the planet but the universal thing that is always frown upon is the addiction. Addiction is what breeds other problems, like if you dont "gamble" or take "drugs" you will not really have the urge to do anything.... I mean that is a stretch and if you start seeing life like this you will understand that truly there are limit to certain behaviors but only you as a person can set those limit.

Hmm... How can it even be compared amount of suicides due to gambling addiction to drugs addiction and say that gambling has highest rate among all addictions. First of all I think there are more gamblers than junkies. Secondly, I have read that death rate among heavy drug users are almost 75%. Even wikipedia say that there are around 100k deaths from drug overdose yearly. And some try to say that there are more than 100k suicides due gambling?

They lose their identity and become an unproductive element in the functioning of the state. I think it's a theory that we all have. Ok, everything, ok, spending, ok, even spending stupidly, but addiction is something that creates problems for you and quite a lot. So i wouldn't joke about it much. i see people joking about it, but it's a really serious and serious problem.

I know a person who claims that light drugs do not harm health in any way, neither physically nor otherwise. And I also know people who have been gambling with a small budget for many years without any impact on their financial situation or their health. So if you are truly disciplined enough to keep yourself within reasonable limits, then you can most likely handle anything. You just need to realistically understand that drugs will still have an impact on your health.

What we have to take into accounts sometimes is the fact that gambling addictions can be controlled and managed but only when the individual himself have seen the bad aspect of it in their family life and finances this will reset their thoughts towards gambling in general,.

I can't even imagine the devastating consequences that a combination of severe addiction and a desire to win huge amounts of money can have. Not everyone can analyze their actions and chances in gambling even when they are sober. And the cause-and-effect relationship is incredibly important.
When a gambler quickly loses all their money due to addiction to drugs and uncontrollable gambling, they quickly find themselves without any funds. He will most likely sell all his possessions, including his apartment, car, and, as history shows, all the furniture and appliances in his home. Also when it has gotten to the point where they now adopt those things as a lifestyle and feel they can’t live without it, it becomes so hard to detach themselves from it. People who are addicted to drugs or gambling, it takes them a lot to actually quit, since this things have become part of their life, but they can only be helped out of it only when they realize how bad it has affected them and how much they really need to stop. I totally agree with your point... recovering from addiction is often the hardest part (based on what i've observe to some people i know who's experiencing an addiction in both ways) because it takes commitment and self discipline. So, to avoid falling back into addiction, it is really important to stay away from triggers, build healthy habits and seek support from trusted friends, family and importantly to a professionals. Taking small but consistent steps each day can make the recovery more manageable and help maintain a healthier lifestyle.

That's not even the case to be honest  because some times most gambler are pretty aware they are deeply addicted yet it still can't help the situation at hands. That is why  It's more better to combat addiction even before falling deeply in it, furthermore preventing addiction from taking hold at first place is far more better than looking for a way of curing it.

Addiction is no joke to be precise, it's one worst thing that can ever happen to someone, and if I'm not missing words their are thousand and one dudes out there battling with it even after recalling how deadly and dangerous it is, still no way forward. I completely agree with you but on the other hand, we may have to reconsider that stats you talked about, about gambling addiction victims being 15 times more likely to commit suicide than every other forms of addiction.

Based on facts, I believe that drug addicts die more often than those who are addicted to gambling, drug addicts die more frequently from drug overdose and you will agree with this, the only way what you said about gambling addicts being 15 times more likely to kill their self will stand as truth is if we consider the fact that dying from drug overdose may not be likened to one killing him or herself or suicide, but I believe death is death irrespective how the person died, because it is still their addiction and action that lead to them dying.

But generally though, we must avoid addiction in anything and every thing we do, because this is usually the beginning of the victims destruction.

the issue is that those people who is gambling addict that does not know that there are gambling addict it is people surrounded them like us will a likely let them know that their love in gambling is more than what we expected and they should cut their budget in gambling, so they cannot depart from not being addicted in gambling if somebody did not inform them fully and they also let them know that they have gone to the extreme in participating in gambling by spending extravagantly in gambling without benefiting from it, when you are gambling you have to check your input and your output, that's alone will make you to know if you are benefiting in gambling or not and it will make you to restrict yourself from gambling with what you cannot afford to lose
