Winna Scam Phising Websites

What happaned:
I googled 'winna' and went on what I thought was winna.com. I logged in and typed in the 8 digit verification code. I am now locked out of my account. I had about $103 in it.

do yourself a favor and start using an ad blocker, google is filled with phishing ads of all sites showing up as the first result.

i hope you learned your lesson. never go to websites from google, or at least don't click the first result blindly.
and next time, if you know the domain name, go to it directly (watch out for spelling errors) or bookmark the sites you use regularly.

Unlucky but also a bit careless. Why did you google it instead of just entering winna.com in your browser? When I google winna it only shows me .com on the top and then some review sites like trustpilot and so after. So I guess ZWEI really has a point to have ad block activated at all times to prevent something like that.

103$ loss is annoying for sure but could have been worse. See it as a 100$ lesson to be more careful.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but at least it was not a lot of money. It could have been much worse.

Also, you should probably post the link in such a way that nobody can accidently click on the scammers website.

Because when googled Winna, it only showed "winna.com" and threads some videos and then a scam accusation thread in Bitcointalk and then reviews from other websites. I don't have an ad block, so I should at least be seeing what you saw(at least I think I should).

Anyway, great list, it could probably help some gamblers in some way. But sad that you lost $103

Content preferences in search results may vary from one location or country to another, and keywords may also show different websites in search results. Therefore, it is not guaranteed that you will see the same search results as the OP, who I think may have gathered them from multiple pages in the search engine, not just the first page.

Phishing websites are common scams nowadays and we should not blindly trust search engine results or ads... Verifying the link before opening it would be a good practice to avoid these phishing sites.

It's hard to believe people like you still have been falling for phishing sites from Google search. A lot of examples have been posted on the forum regarding Google search. There's no way to depend on the Google search when it's financially related. You may get only ideas and data from the Google search. To find a casino, you have to search from trusted sources like Bitcointalk or gambling monitor sites. So you will find the authentic source.

However, you are lucky you haven't tried with a big amount. Since they don't have any announcements on the forum, we can't do anything from our side. But yes, your thread would help others to avoid these phishing sites; even on Google, this thread will be visible.

Please point out which website exactly scammed you among those listed. Some links redirect to legitimate websites because they are referral links. Someone is probably buying domains that are similar to popular casinos and using them to promote their referral links.

It's hard to believe that people can be scammed with a phishing site like this while if the site is like winnaprop[dot]com for example, it's more reasonable to be scammed.

That's link cloaking; as long as they redirect to the right website and not phishing links, it's popular among affiliate marketers. People should know the right domain of the casino they want to register with, and they should pay attention to the Url, Winna.com is fast becoming a popular casino, so they are now targeted by scammers.
I'm sure Winna.com is now aware of this, and they should send a warning to their users and the gambling community.
