I used correct username and password but it will return that it is not correct. I was later able to login without the signing code to bypass captcha but the following I used the code but it returned this.

I used another browser and another IP address but I was still unable to login.

I was thinking my account could have been compromised. I had to change my password through the email but it worked. What could have caused this to happen?

You were probably entering an incorrect password.
According to BPIP, your password has been changed only once and that was done through email address (by yourself according to this topic).

Since there is no other password change reported there, we can rule out the possibility that your account was compromised.

I saved the password online in two places, I am using the google because I can easily fill the password automatically immediately I enter Bitcointalk to login, that is what I am using. Can you see now that the password is correct.

When it first happened few days ago, I was shocked, I tried it again and the same error on my first topic was returning, I went to the second online storage that I stored the same password, I check it again and again but it is the same with the one I saved on google. I copied it from the second storage and paste it but the error continued.

Please do not come here to spam like you know what you are posting. Some of you that have higher ranks like to bully, that is the reason you did not know how important the two threads are existing. If an established member posted it, you will not say anything.

This is not about evil fee, you can see me posting. I can post on this forum and here I am still posting.

This has nothing to do with OP's issue.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know the proxyban can't be applied to those who have already made post and even those who are proxy-banned can login to their account.

I am asking this because the error message says that it was your IP that was banned, but you could login to your account after changing the password which suggests that the issue was with your account and not with your IP.

I could see that some people have been suggesting one thing or another to you while you maintained that everything was fine on your part. I guess you might be right because a guy also complained of such an issue to me twice this week and asked if I was experiencing it as well, and I said No. He was using Tor, so I advised him to use his local IP or move to a proper VPN, and it worked.

I'm just trying to tell you that this (technical error) is not an isolated issue, and it must be coming from the forum's system itself. Underreported issues like this make people think everything is normal or the problem is from the complainer's side.

If I use the same IP, I still get the error on the image so I changed the IP. I will wait for few days to know if the IP ban will be removed.

If you only have one forum account, you won't need to change your IP address or do anything else, and you're unlikely to encounter login issues. This happens when people have multiple accounts, use the same browser, don't clear their cookies, but persistently try to log in to their accounts under different usernames.

I'm wondering the same question. If he had continued in the same topic, he would have seen that I have the same problem and that this is not about any compromise of our accounts, but about new security measures (at least that's what I assume).

OP did you mess with your account settings and enabled Limit IP retention in Account Related Settings?
By default this is disabled, but I don't recommend anyone doing this, and I know some members that had issues with their accounts in the past because of this.
If you want to make aour account more secure it's better to enable Two-factor authentication.
