Balance deducted means it was accepted at first. But when it was written in the bet slip as rejected, that means it was accepted first and then later changed to rejected.

What’s strange is that it took minutes before they rejected it. If it was rejected right away, I would’ve known instantly. But since it took some time, it really feels like it was accepted first and only canceled later.

When I place a bet, I always go to the "my bets" section and check if it is displayed there.

This is the best thing to do but in case like this Casino usually stand with their initial decision on refunding the funds and will just send a part of the ToS which the6 are allowed to enforce rules etc.

Maybe 90% of the time that’s what will happen, they’ll admit their mistake if there’s a reputational risk, so they’ll just stand by it. Especially if the amount involved is small, because if they get caught lying, they’ll end up paying it anyway. In the end, it really depends on how persistent you are as a gambler to chase that small winning and keep following it up.

I have not experienced rejected bet after I have placed the bet and it was accepted but I have experienced severally not being able to place a bet.

This is normal and can be attributed to a lot of factors like network fluctuations or odd change and it is completely normal since you cannot place the bet.
What OP experienced is not ordinary and possibly doesn't have anything to do with him placing the bet properly since it was placed and later rejected. It was totally and action from the sportsbook and I would love to read from OP the excuse the sportsbook gave him for the rejection of his already placed bet.

I know when there is network fluctuations and odds changed, my network was good because other platforms where going through.
There was no odd changes.
It may just be a glitch and if that happens nothing left to do for me than to reject the games I had booked.

As i don't know their reasoning, i can't say if it was reasonable. It doesn't sound fair, but fair is debatable concept anyway and sport books only need to follow terms of service.
I am willing to bet that there's a small print that they can reject bets when an error has happened that's nothing to do with them.

From what you say, it sounds like a lagging interface issue or something like that. But yeah, i would be frustrated and angry as well. That's perfectly reasonable response from you.

Your bet must have been rejected due to certain reasons but you weren't able to get a feedback. did you think about network fluctuations, this is another angle for you to consider, this has happened to lot of bettors. if you feel like the problem wasn't from network problems and the site has an issue you can simply switch to another. The most important thing here is that you got your money back, it could have been worse. From what you gave explained there is a high possibility that it happened due to network fluctuations.

I am not say to you that this is a common case, but rather that it[ is a "normal" and you should never trust on a recently placed bet.

In these live/in-play betting scenarios, this delay in acceptance is common because there are two things: One is when the site confirm that received your intention ofbet , so it confirms that it has received it (see this as a confirmation from the interface), but the bookmaker can still reject your bet if the market changes, if it closes or if there is a technical delay or even an incorrect price... this happens when the odds change very fast or a bet is received late when the market has already moved.

Anyway... I bet a lot on sports, usually well in advance of a game when things are still calm, but even so, this kind of thing has happened to me too.

I do not think this is a site error or that they acted in bad faith... I think it is a problem without anyone to blame, and you need to monitor it for a while longer after placing the bets to confirm that everything went well.

Wow, that is annoying OP. I would definitely reach out and demand answers. You should have won that bet and because it wasn't in their favor they decided to cancel it? That is foul play. That shouldn't be let go without an argument and if I were you I would already have emails going out and telling them that wasn't fair. Its worth the try at least. If they don't get back or mark the case closed then at least you tried, I feel like sometimes they would honor it and give you your cash.

That's the downside of live betting with some sportsbooks.  I've also experienced those live bet rejections, and I assume it's their way of having a safety blanket because there are rare cases when their live feeds bug out and freeze.

I guess it's fair enough because i've seen live lines that stay open after the game, and bettors would try to see if they can get away with it.

I don’t really see any abnormality in the line that was offered. It looked fair to me, I took it, and it was accepted. I didn’t even bother checking my active bets anymore, because normally once the balance is deducted and it turns green when I tap the bet, that already means it’s good.

So for me, everything looked normal at that time, that’s why it’s confusing why it ended up getting rejected later.

Next time, check your active bets section and ensure you see your available cash out, as you mentioned the event is a live one.

There was no cash out, im using a fiat bookie and i would not think of cashing out, not my cut of tea.

Sadly, there are bookies that cancels these bets mid game. I don't understand also the reason why they do that.
But if the bet you've made is losing, that's the consolation that you can thank them after.
And of course if you're on the winning side, that's the disappointing part when you'll only see that they have cancelled the bet.

No, this is not a final confirmation, because after a second, if the bet is rejected due to changed odds, then your balance returns to its original state and that's it. To make sure that your bet has been placed, you need to see it in the My Bets section. After that there would be no doubt. I have also experienced something similar with live betting. The match had only been going for 10 minutes in the first half, but then it was suspended due to an incident. The bookmaker refunded my bet, even though they didn't provide any notice, but I was able to see what actually happened.

I don`t like such situations, but i got few times "cancel". It is normal situation when bookie makes a mistake with odds and he cancel the bet. As for me - i think that it is some kind of cheating from the bookie - if he mistakes and win - he never cancel bets. But we can`t do nothing with it.
If it is rare situation(and as if we see such question - it means that it is first time or about it) - i can recommend to leave this situation in the past and continue gambling. But if it would repeat again and again - i recommend to change bookie.

What was the reason in your case when your bet was canceled, did they give you any explanation? I think casino algorithms should work quite precisely,if there are grounds to cancel a bet, then they will do it, but if the bet was accepted, it means all the algorithms approved it. Unless, I do not know, maybe there were some VAR related situations when something was counted and then canceled or the opposite. In any case it would be interesting to hear the reason for your cancellation.

There’s nothing much to argue here since the bet was already rejected when the game is still not concluded. The casino can create an argument that they simply rejected the bet for some reason while they have the right to do that based on most casino ToS.

Asking the support why bet was rejected will just create a conversation loop which support doesn’t have responsibility to explain further and use a piece of their ToS.

I will mock hard if the bet was already settled as won then suddenly rejected and decline the profit.

The thing is, I can accept that they make mistakes sometimes, but they shouldn’t just justify it like that. I’m confident the odds offered were correct, that’s why I was surprised when I saw it marked as rejected.

I’m still not sure what’s really the difference between “rejected” and “canceled,” but my bookie is using “rejected.” I’ve experienced this before in the past, and sometimes I agreed with it because the line really looked wrong. But this time, it looked correct to me.

If they start doing this randomly, then something is clearly wrong. It would’ve been fine with me if the Celtics were already down at that time. But they were up by a good margin and had a big chance of winning and covering the spread, that’s what makes it more frustrating.
