I admire your modesty @buwaytress  yet I think this format is all about luck much more than skill compared to previous versions and Superbru scoring format was all about watching every free practice before you choose your picks. This left no room for any amateur or lucky person to win a prize in such context. In this year format is much better as anyone can be a genius for a race for example even if he has never seen a Formula 1 race in his life, in this format luck is definitely the deciding factor.

It's not just you who has noticed this quality of mine. People come to all day saying that I am too humble, and that I should do more to raise my profile, but humility when it is in your DNA is impossible to overstep, believe me I have tried to shout out my greatness on mountaintops but even my voice cannot bear to lift itself in my own praise. Alas!

In short, though, I agree with you. This format... almost guarantees I have equal footing with a guy who pays attention to the news.

This week, Formula 1 is finally starting again, and it is happening in my home country, which makes it even more exciting for me. I am really curious to see how the cars will handle the extreme heat expected this weekend. Temperatures could reach up to 36 degrees Celsius, which will be a major challenge for both drivers and machines. However, it might also turn into a very interesting race, because in Spielberg there is always a chance of sudden storms and short rain. Therefore, a wet track cannot be ruled out either, which could completely change the race dynamics.

As for my predictions, I will wait until Saturday before making any decisions, especially considering how the heat conditions develop.

That's nice, have you ever watched race live at track? Now I guess with up to 36°C even watching will be extreme experience, not even talking about racing. From spectators perspective, Red Bull Ring probably is best place to watch race live because from stands you can see almost whole track, it's not covered by trees and buildings.

For me i expect a magic race from Verstappen but is more based on an desire than in reality.

I also would like to see good race from him, but it's really hard to expect it.

Im with LTU i dont find this world cup boring right now, but i know the feeling like you im not feeling the mood of a world cup yet, but that is gonna change in this last round and when we finally enter the knockout stages.

About the Max Verstappen chance of winning lets see he is the Cape Verde of the F1 against Spain (mercedes).

I just sent my predictions without doing much research, but I cant get worse results than Mafia, this is a fact 
Weather prognosis for Austria this weekend is sunny and hot, and maybe team RedBull will try to perform better here.
I see their team have upgrade packages ready for this race, and they still have Verstappen as a great driver.

Perhaps just part of my regular routine as we all know and have seen lately it all bubbles down to luck cause how many of us picked Hammy last race, so I guess we see how it goes right.

To be perfectly honest F1 also makes me mad but in a way its a given. Machines, toys, rich people. You expect it early on.

Usually until now I have just clicked whoever I thought is a better driver than the other but from now I am going to have data at my disposal before making my choices. Maybe data means nothing but at least give us some insights as which team is performing better than the others for the specific weekend.

Yeah I've been doing that since I started this F1 pool journey, maybe it works sometimes, sometimes it doesn't and I have bad luck. But I guess I must trust my process with the hopes it'll start working eventually and start getting some wins because it's been quite difficult building momentum I've been doing mostly bad for awhile but things will turnaround eventually.

Thank you for notifying us always and as I said I just entered them now that I have an extremely clear view of the performance of the teams, I expect a Mercedes not screwing things up here as this track is a bit less forgiving to the tires compared to Spain GP.

I know Mercedes looks once again stronger than any other team but the fact that Ferrari is there plus +0.110s and McLaren with +248s also Redbull in those waters maybe and just maybe we watch a better race compared to previous one. I can't wait for the Austrian GP qualifying session to start and see the true potential of the cars, maybe Ferrari has been saving some and not going 100% of their power which would be a good surprise to happen. The Championship I think is still wide open as just another catastrophic happening like last time to Antonelli and we are back at square one.

Yeah Ferrari, Hamilton especially can be another sneaky podium this weekend as he has been consistent in this run of practices and just maybe he is indeed holding back until qualifying then ultimately the race and also Mclaren had a brief moment where they looked good as well. As far as Redbull goes who knows really they just been whatever so far but the lower tier is where the most problem is these guys are all over the place hard to make a decision most weeks.

Yeah even i was wondering about reward structures & payouts , should have been post up by now we are half way through the season  although i'm out of top 10 but still there is hope

Guys, sometimes I don't understand F1. You can get penalty for most insignificant shit, but on the same time you can get pole despite yellow flags. I thought that you have to drop speed significantly during yellow flags, I was sure that stewards will remove Russel's lap time.
Anyway, going to be very interesting race with both Mercedes and both Ferrari potentially fighting for the win.
