Yo, race is back and my answers are all submitted. Was very tempted to pick Max Verstappen and then now sad to see him in Tier 2, what a downfall this guy and Red Bull had, to be honest, but I guess that's good for the game.

For some reason for me, totally feels weird we're in stage 2 of the season, is it because of World Cup?

Yes we all want to pick Max Verstappen since this is his home race but we all know he also doesnt have a proper car to fight for the win (or maybe yes), about the stage 2, no is just because is the part after a break nothing relevant at all.

Everything is back to normal now. I made the same brave picks that took me home recently, and I like beating dead horses so let's see what reward awaits. Race? Well, Max is back home, it's been the start of rain here since yesterday, and not expected to let up. Should be fun.

If I remember correctly we have not seen a full wet race here in Netherlands, sure I remember a bit of rain some years ago during a race but it was very little and did not influence a lot the race back then. I think you are in for some dead horses as who knows what they can bring you, personally will wait for all the possible data, including all Free Practice sessions to finally put my picks on, I am on a very consistent run which I hope to prolong it further in this Dutch Grand Prix this Sunday.

So it is a chance to have a very diverse and strange grid for start the race right? If the qualy and the sprint race goes under full wet a lot of things can happen even some car crashing and making the start of the sunday race being a lot diferent than we can expect to be.

This is good news for us in term of fun but i hope everyone is safe, i said this because this circuit has some very close walls in some turns.

I think for friday we are gonna have a much clear picture about the weather.

I think the car who has promised more upgrades is McLaren and they are the last race winner so I am very interested to see their performance during this race. Mercedes is the team to beat but if we add another team like McLaren to fight for the race win I think races will become very interesting. Ferrari is one of those years where they have not already started working on next year car so that will be interesting to see. Redbull and Verstappen I am doubtful about them despite being Max home race the car simply does not respond.

@darbit - havee question about driver changes for this round. As you probably already saw, Hadjar will miss this race because of wrist injury. He will be replaced by Lawson, while Tsunoda will replace Lawson at Racing Bulls. Want to have some clarification about predictions because there is no changes in prediction form.

Thanks for pointing it out, i have it already covered in the rules since in case of this kind of things happening is gonna play in aumomatic the substitute for anyone who picked each driver, but since one of the drivers still in the grid but change team and goes up in the tier i also update the spreadsheet with the names of both updated so no one has any surprise.

Now i check and a few guys who already submited pick him in the tier 3 so im gonna ask them to resubmit their answers, sorry guys it was a change at last moment and its jsut because he goes up to a team in other tier. Tagging you.

Guys, as you already know Verstappen extended contract with Red Bull until 2030 and it closes all speculation around his name. Looks that he have faith in brightfuture of Red Bull.
Meanwhile Williams extended contracts both with Albon and Sainz. What's next? Russel and Anotnelli contracts ends after this this season, but probably it's only matter of time until they will announce about extension

So Hadjar fractured his wrist boxing to keep in shape over the break could be out for 6-8 weeks allegedly, thats's crazy man guess we'll see how that plays out going forward.

The Sprint Qualifying is now over, it didn't rain and Russell took pole position ahead of Norris and Leclerc. Antonelli finished only fifth behind Piastri. But somehow I have the feeling that Antonelli didn't perform up to his potential, still, I'm going to submit my picks now.

We see that Mclaren is back but personally I am waiting to see the Sprint as it will give me a glimpse of what we can expect in the race. Mercedes with Russell looking good, apparently the fact that Russell got engaged during this summer break worked out well for him. I am expecting a good fight for the race, Max was not doing great and I doubt Redbull will be able to recover for the race. It will be a Mercedes vs McLaren most likely.

Yeah I think it will be between Mclaren and Mercedes as well I didn't wanna wait for sprint cause who knows what type of weather we'll have during both days(sprint and GP) so I let my gut decide and hope for the best, I think I jinx myself when waiting on too much data but if it works out for you cheers...good luck bro.

It's strange way for F1 driver to get injury. I was thinking that they have prohibitions in their contracts which don't allow various activities which can lead to injuries. But when I see how some drivers spent their summer break, looks that I was wrong.
Less than 0.1 between Top 4 drivers on sprint qualifying, but I guess nobody won't show their all cards on sprint.

Just for future, what happens if I had forgotten to submit new picks, would my T3 driver just be null or would the system have selected the guy who filled his gap? Or would I have been considered a no-show?

By the rules in the tier 3 you are gonna have the guy who fill his gap, my problem with this change was not for tier 3 but for tier 2 because you are gonna have 2 drivers in that one.... which i can allow to happen to not give a 0 but is gonna be also a complete bad thing since the  multiplier is diferent and it changes so much the power of the cars and the chance of getting points by that driver, i have to cover it in a added rule despite this is the only way of seeing this happen since this are the only two teams who can switch drivers so easily.

I have to think about it.

I just put my picks now and not thinking a lot. I have gone for the usual suspects and I am not looking for the yellow cap prize rather I want full consistency in points to keep myself in the top 5 or even top 3 near the end of the season, now a lot of races in like 3 months so it is like 3 races for a month on average. I look forward to being consistent but if the prize comes I will not regret it and will be happy to receive it.

Thanks for the explanation dar. I wasn't concerned in the least, just curious about how it would have turned out. I'm looking at the results from today and I'm a bit disappointed my first 2 picks start in 1st and 2nd. But I like seeing Bottas second from bottom, Yuki in 2nd. They'll smash, won't they? Won't they?!
