This time since we dont know yet who is gonna be the second driver of RB and who is gonna be in Racing Bulls i left it as RB second driver (whatever he is) and the same for the Racing Bulls.

After seing news about Hadjar, I already wanted to come to this topic and update form again, but looks that you found great solution for this problem.

I'm in 15th place in our internal pool, and that made me wonder which F1 team corresponds to that position. So I thought, let's do our homework and map out all the competitors.

I'm Lando Norris . It's not that he is my favorite driver, but not bad to be in position of reigning 2025 World Champio.

I'm Fernando Alonso, wow, would never have imagined this guy to fall down so far the order, either it shows me how old I am or it shows me I really thought too highly of some drivers.

To be even behind some guy like Lindblad, well, I have to say, I need to refresh my mind about who is good and top at F1 and who is washed.

Alonso isn't as bad as his results looks. The problem that have to race with tractor against F1 cars. Give him decent car and you will see him somehwere in the middle.

Thanks for the information i was lazy and busy to search it when i write my previous post, i updated the form so i dont have to do extra work later (im gonna have to do a little).

Now is another chance for free for this two drivers to show if they really can do their best in a better car in the case of Lawson and in the case of Yuki try to show he deserves a F1 seat, despite that for me he didnt deserve a F1 seat he alredy had so many opportunities and he always drove like a rookie despite having a few season in his back.

Well is a strange case because it only help the home driver and team in a  mental sense, he puts more energy into it because they want to win in their home, in some cases they also know much better the track but with today rules that is not longer possible because you cant train on it plus everyone can make it in the simulator, but in the past the local can know much better his track since he train there and knows every turn and how to take it.

In general that is correct but I think in sports like F1 where technology is so crucial, the limits a driver has are just too real to overcome with mental strength or additional motivation. If you take Alonso these days as an example and they were to drive in Spain, I don't think it would make much of a difference. He just can't overcompensate for shortcomings of his car.

Whereas in tennis or in football you can get these extra dynamics during the game and I am sure you saw that yourself, those dynamics are real. When small teams play against big teams, or the world no. 211 ATP plays against a top 10 ATP, out of a sudden the favourite loses control over the game because fans and players of the underdog go wild, have some luck etc. There is usually no such thing as luck in F1 unless you have the first six cars crash (god forbid this is called "luck") and you make it onto the podium. But other than that, if your car is shit, your result will be shit in absolute terms. Of course a very great driver can win a few positions in a very bad car consistently, but he won't win races with the worst car in the field.

The race in Monza is just around the corner. Kimi Antonelli has to start from the back row of the grid, so he is no longer a realistic option for my prediction. Russell, on the other hand, could score important points in the battle for the World Championship. I consider McLaren to be the second strongest team in Monza because it is a very fast circuit. Ferrari could struggle with its higher downforce setup and may therefore not be among the fastest teams. At the moment, I still find it difficult to assess Verstappen and Red Bull, as their performance remains rather unpredictable.

Yes i agree with you, for sure in F1 is much less relevant than in any other sport since we have several other things which determines the winner of a race or your performance, like you said the mechanic and tencologic part is way more important. Despite it i feel like it can contribute the knowing of the circuit and the will to win of a driver, so lets say it gives you an extra 5% of chances.

It's really too bad that you're leaving the prediction pool, even though your chances are actually pretty good and you're not far behind. But I'm sure you have your reasons. For example, I also have a few pools going, and it can get a little stressful at times.


It's the same for me. Some people are probably still waiting for today's workout, since there are still quite a few tips missing.

Personally I did catch a failing McLaren in this first practice and Lando Norris was in the car which makes me wait until all the practice sessions have finished before deciding to put my picks. Maybe drivers in the first free practice do not give their maximum and as such we have to wait for more sessions to better identify potential winners in the Tiers we have in the pool here. Just 3 months and everything finishes again, looks like far away but is just around the corner.

Damn man now that you point it out im very sure it was like yesterday when we started and we are now just 3 months away to the end, is crazy how the time flies.

I cant saw the free practice so im not so much aware of what is happening, im jsut gonna check the stats.

Mmm McClaren not good at all and Max Verstappen also not is shape it seems. I dont know if im gonna wait for the third practice, my main question is in tier 1, Ferrari seems pretty solid, Mercedes is always there but i feel like we are gonna heard the italian anthem in this weekend.

Normally 3 months after we should not change the Monaco race although I did pretty bad there so maybe it is better to change  . I also put my picks now and didn't care much about the first place in Tier 1 most likely is Russell as a win and the other Tiers I did a lot of improvisation as I put Lindblad and Fernando on Tier 3 and Tier 4 choices I have never done before or almost never done before during all the season.

As for the Monaco change I strongly think we should not change anything here as if we do it will become a really bad precedent for our pool, changing things after three months simply is not logical at all, especially when many races have passed so far.

Note: We are gonna have open the window for changes in penalties from FIA until the tuesday after the race.Any other penaltie aplied after it is not gonna be retroactive.

With our pool, everything is clear, we set the rules ourselves and follow them - but when I think about the athletes, then this is a real problem. I often read in the news how years later someone (due to doping) is stripped of medals, fucking years later! And years later someone receives, for example, a bronze medal. I wonder what he's feeling at this moment, haha. It's also strange when titles remain without an owner, as was the case with Armstrong's titles, for example.

What a complete disgrace the FIA becomes..... or always was but now is even worse.

In our case like KTC said i never change the results thanks to our rule, so now the FIA has the same result as us because i never change it since they come with that after our deadline for changes. We already discused it a few months back when happen.
