Exactly. Completely new circuit, quite enough places one can hit the wall and, sooner or later somebody may push too much or have the tyres too worn, or just make a mistake and red flag, and change of strategy and so on.
May be more lively to watch, but clearly more stressful for the drivers. And yeah, also not easy to guess the winner.

And we didn't had any red flags, what is surprise for me, but Virtual Safety Car was decider today. Mclaren decision to box Norris after end of VSC cost them win that they already had in their hands. Plus, they wasted so much time to change wheel of Norris. Well, Ferrari engineers would be proud.
But race itself probably was as boring as Monaco - it's almost impossible to overtake here.
After this race now Antonelli have 81 point lead against Russel. I don't know what should happen that he wouldn't become 2026 World Champion.

I completely agree. The track may well be a great addition for Madrid, but there is now already a third race on the calendar that takes place on this circuit, which is becoming a bit boring because overtaking is impossible there. However, I agree with you on that as well. A lot would have to happen for Antonelli not to become World Champion this season. Making up the gap in the championship standings is a huge challenge, and with the form he is currently showing, he is almost impossible to beat. At the moment, it is hard to see anyone consistently matching his pace and results (see Russell with the same car), let alone taking enough points away from him to stop him from securing the title.

Damn guys i didnt see the race yesterday and i still cant update the racecontrol sheet to give you the results it was a really busy sunday and monday, later in a few hours im gonna update it, sorry about this.

Anyways seems like it was a "good" race right?. My picks as always were bad, only Colapinto was good.

About the world championship..... it seems like Antonelli have it in his hands, not only because he is doing super good but because Russel seems to have lost fate in himself also.

Even other drivers admitted that Norris had to win race, but bad luck and bad timing didn't let it to happen. Some Mclaren fans even make conspiracy theories that VSC mode was turned on intentionally after it was already too late for Norris to enter pit lane.
But for me it's some karma - remember when Norris got free win in 2024 Hungarian (if I'm not mistaken) when there was some team orders involved.
I read on Twitter that yesterday during race there was just 4  overtakes. Even in Monaco there was 10 - it sounds weird that number of overtakes in Monaco reached double digits. Anyway, next race should have much more action as we heading to Baku.

Indeed, only one VSC is much less than I've expected. And indeed, it has decided the result, given that McLaren pitted Norris very late. And to make the bad strategy worse, the pit took very long and VSC has also ended meanwhile. Imho it was a mistake they didn't pit him from start, but I am unsure where he was on the track (how far from the pit lane) when VSC was announced.

The race was boring overall. The Madring seems to be quite a #fail. Max pretty much said it: he only had to drive his car on the middle of the track and he was safe from overtaking



It was good result though (for me). The combo of VSC and Max being careful has earned me a couple of (easy?) bucks

This is the second Grand Prix where I’ve repeated a third-place finish (in consecutive races) falling just half a point short of the round's coveted "Madness Reward." At least I managed to pick up some extra points and climb from the bottom of the standings to a better position. The round's winner is an F1 regular; I remember him well because he once won spectacularly in Monaco-he came very close to achieving a perfect score under the old format.

Now I am slowly getting back to the forum and I will try to post my predictions for upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

It looks like this result is going to knock me out of the top five in the leaderboards.
I should have pick with Antonelli, moreover what he did in the previous GP, there’s no doubt he’s the best this season.

Yeah just incredible man, but i think you just won something in the other madness, so at least you grab something from the weekend. But is still painfull to miss the top just for 0.5 points.

Yeah you missed two races and that handicap you, but i still feel like you can comeback a few positions and still fight for paid positions, you are not far away from them and also you already won a round so you know the drill.

Mostly yes, but the results from this week are very tight so is not gonna build or open a big gap for anyone. So if you ask me maybe it was the best time to have your worst round.

Oh we are going to Baku now which is a great track where a lot of drama has happened in the past, remember Ricciardo vs Verstappen massive incident, Hamilton vs Verstappen fight and Piastri holding Leclerc to a victory. This track so far was never boring as something always happened here and finally after the worse track we just raced there we are going to have a lot of fun in Baku.

On a side not I thought I would lose much more points but no for me losing just 6-7 points is no problem in such round.

I forgot to mention - I received the prize for the previous round, thanks, darxiaomi!

I’m also really happy that my outright bets on Kimi, placed at odds of 1.28 before the Italian race and 1.16 before the Spanish race, are now valued at 1.04. Kimi winning the title looks like a sure thing. It’s funny that Russell is priced lower than Norris - 26 to 17. Such a blow to his ambitions, I don’t envy him.

I dont know how you are doing it but you can earn more money in giving teaching lessons to other members like me 
For me it is more luck in this prediction pool because I am not watching full races in Formula One.

Yeah you remember it good, we have cash prizes for the round winner so i think is not only worth to keep going but also i think is the best prize for winning  a round across all the competitions of the forum.

Guys, what do you think about 2027 season calendar.

What it looked like a joke now is true - we will have sprint in Monaco. Can't understand why they think it's good idea - sprint race where it's impossible to race. And in general, number of sprint races increased from 6 to 10.
Also, we have return of some great tracks like Portimao or Istanbul. Just wondering do they have Plan B if it won't be possible to race in Middle East.

Guys, what do you think about 2027 season calendar.

First of all i think 5 sprint races in the first 8 races is a lot, at the start i really like the sprint idea but right now it started to be boring most of the times and doesnt sum so much to the whole weekend, the teams mostly try to end the sprint in one piece and nobody risk anything at all.

About the sprint in Monaco.... complete no sense.

I remember Portimao being small in terms of width, im correct? So i dont know if i like it.
